The name of the song is actually Love's Holiday. It was on the B side of the 45 for their most iconic song September. It's the most famous B side song ever, as it was a huge hit as well. Earth Wind and Fire is simply the greatest band of all time, no matter what genre there is. There's so much more for you to discover with them. They've been my favorite band for almost 50 years.
Yup, thanks for pointing that out. J & Amber aren’t the 1st reactors to call it “Would You Mind”. ✌🏽
My favorite song from my favorite group. If you guys like this, check out Be Ever Wonderful.
I thought it was Love Holiday
Correct!
That's correct. Most people do get that wrong. I just like when they start off. Would you mind
“September”! You’ve got to play “September”! Honestly, everything Earth, Wind & Fire did was awesome so you can’t miss.
You know what you're talking about.
I love that song, great suggestion 🙋🏻♀️
Definitely
My autistic daughter stims to certain songs and EWF's September is a favorite! Excellent choice!
I’m willing to bet they’ve heard September. I’ll say “You Can’t Hide Love”
This just shows how much better music was back in the day than today's schlock. Thanks for reviewing it.
The song is actually called "Love's Holiday." No problem though LOL! Give a listen to "Can't Hide Love."
Thank you! ✌🏽 And, yup, CHL is hopefully soon.
The horn riff in Can't Hide Love...BOOM!
This would have been my exact post.
Can’t Hide Love🔥🔥🔥 no offense to Silk Sonic…but…just sayin’
That whole Album is off the hook. My all time favorite 70’s Band
You have great taste.
And with EWF, ya gotta listen to the album straight through, in order, while singing along, studying the cover art and liner notes.
@@Tipper65, Yes! A new EWF album was not just a purchase, it was an event!
All n All...I Am...Raise....YESSIR!!!!
You should seren them altogether 1 great live show wow
Earth, Wind and Fire is always 🔥🔥🔥
Jay/Amber, You'll LOVE their " Shining Star" and "Sing A Song" !!!!
Phillip Bailey and Maurice White were the lead vocalists of the group. Got to have those horns back!
Shining Star (Live) Another great song from Gratitude
I remember ‘Shining Star’! ⭐️
Maurice White’s voice is one of the best.
This is the EW&F sound that made the band one of the iconic bands. Yeah, they could boogie but this sexy bluesy sound was what we carved. "Reasons, I Write a Song, Keep Your Head To The Sky, Devotion," those are the true sounds of the elements known as EARTH, WIND, & FIRE.❤❤❤❤ GREAT REACTION.❤❤❤
"In The Stone"
Yés! 🔥
That’s The Way of the World!
Imagination. People always forget about that gem.
@@lagster12 absolute best! 👍😌
-That's the Way Of The World
-Can't Hide Love
🙌🏿🙌🏿 You won't regret either💯
This song is timeless. Loved hearing it again and seeing your reaction. A quick note, the actual song title is "Love's Holiday."
Finally, more Earth, Wind and Fire. Thank you
Word!
Earth wind & fire always brought the magic. The lead singer, Philip Bailey's falsetto always took you to the heavens
I don't care what song you play by EW&F !! I love "Absolutely " everything this band has put out !! All their music is fantastic! !! 🤘R.I.P Maurice White 🙏
Next EW&F song should definitely be “After The Love Has Gone” followed by “Devotion”. “That’s The Way of the World” and “Be Ever Wonderful”! You guys will love all of them!
I also vote for ATLHG & TTWOTW!
Nope. SERPENTINE FIRE.
@@veot.2869 That one too!
Imagination
Earth Wind And Fire was my first, very own grown up album. My mother took me to Kmart in the 70s when i was around 5 or 6 yrs old and they used to keep the record section in front of the store. We were walking by the music department and i spotted the latest EWaF album because my older cousin Richard had it and i was like the annoying little brother (i was a little girl) he never had. I loved him like a big brother and had to be into EVERYTHING he was into. He hated when i got into his room and played his records. So, i BEGGED my mother to buy it for me and the rest is history. ❤
The production of this song is incredible.. there's at least 15 different musical instruments involved in the production of this song and 10 vocal changes for the melody of this song, I don't think Rob truly appreciates what it took to create such a masterpiece.. and the song title is "Love's Holiday"!
On the short list of best R&B ballads of all time. Actually not even limited to just R&B
The greatness of Earth Wind & Fire is the wide range of their versatility and the depth of their song writing!!!
This was on their album All ‘n All which was released in 77’ and shot straight to #1 on the R & B charts and #3 on the Billboard 200! (That’s #3 for ALL MUSIC no matter genre) I swear in the 70’s these guys couldn’t make a bad song if they tried! P.S. The official title to this song is “Love’s Holiday”.
That album is off the chain and rolling down the hill.😅
Maurice said that All n' All was their best album.
For more quiet EWF, check out "I'll Write A Song For You", "After the Love Is Gone", "That's the Way of The World", "Devotion". Others like Sing A Song, In the Stone, Serpentine Fire, Getaway are more up tempo with the horns.
Can’t Hide Love; Reasons; Devotion; Keep your head to the sky; Side by Side…the list goes on
I'm a heavy metal, hard rock, heavy psych, prog fan but i have all of Earth Wind and Fire's 70's albums. They are just a magical band, All 'n' All is an amazing album.
One of my favorite bands...They could do it all with equal enthusiasm
THAT'S THE WAY OF THE WORLD is their signature song, GRATITUDE is their Legendary album.
ALL their hit albums are legendary! Please remember that!
@@rdavid488 Gratitude is their best.
@@JAMESMOORE-gq4vv You say that only because your favorite song(s) is on there. Some might say "That's The Way of The World" is their best album, or "All N All", which has my favorite song "Fantasy". It's just each person's opinion, I guess.
You just cant go wrong with EW&F. They are legends.
Everyone always forgets or doesnt know their song Imagination off their great Spirit album. Its a must listen ballad.
I hope you guys do dig deep into the EWF Catalog. Because as a teen of the 70's in the "DMV" (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) EWF are known for their many Love Ballads. We reminisce about events in our love youth with special partners based on which BALLAD came on the radio.....LATE NIGHTS ONLY. EWF dance music on the radio during the day. Love making BALLADS during the "Quiet Storm" after midnight. The list is very very long. The Angelic voices of Philip Bailey and Maurice White are legendary. Bailey is the one with 5 octives when he was younger. "REASONS" "After the love has gone" many more
EW&F always knew how to take you on a magical journey.
Hell yeah!
Pure Classic one of their best song’s ever
This one shows the soft side of EWF without the song being all horns and funk. God Bless
You can NEVER go wrong with the elements.❤❤❤❤❤
Ha! Nicely put!
No doubt!
This track is titled "Love's Holiday" -- from the 1977 EW&F LP "All 'N All"; it was not released as a single in 1977 but was released as the B-side of the "September" single in late 1978.
✌🏽
Thats why it sounded so obscure to me cause it wasn't a single and didn't generate too much cross-over appeal on the radio.
Devotion from Gratitude has some awesome high falsettos
The greatest live band ever!! My mum was 8months pregnant with me and she went to the concert!! She also said I was gonna be a music baby because I was kicking like mad!!!!😂😂😂❤❤
Devotion is another great Earth, wind, and fire songs from the album Gratitude
Reasons is an absolute must if you haven't reacted to that one yet. Perfection!!!
I like the live version.
I'm having flashbacks of middle school and high school sock hops, and even better flashbacks after I was out of high school. Hehehe! You guys have to realize that almost every genre has, or at least had a slow song or slower than what they're mostly known for. It was set that way with record companies to try to please those who were against fast paced rock, blues, soul, metal, etc. Many used to include a gospel or inspirational song on their albums.
Amber, the way guys used to approach a girl or talk to his lady was much better than many for today. The term "rap" means to talk, and it was very common for a guy to say to a girl "Can I catch that rap?" or "Can I rap to you for a minute?", meaning he's asking to talk to her to get to know her.
Their live album Gratitude is one of the best ever recorded. 3 sides of high energy performance that raise their level of musicianship and tightness to crazy heights. The 4th side was packed with new singles including the total classic Can’t Hide Love which has become a favourite even among Jazz musicians. Listen to that WHOLE record! ✌️
I LITERALLY played the grooves off this album. My brother was not happy. 😂😊💛
I just heard EW&F's "After The Love Has Gone" about half an hour ago on an old Casey Kasem countdown. I was hoping you would react to it. I thought this was it. That would've been a huge coincidence! You really should check it out. It's so SMOOTH, and sounds like it belongs in the "yacht rock" category.
I agree. It fits perfectly there. It was co-written by Bill Chaplin and David Foster just before Chaplin joined Chicago for resurgence albums Chicago 16, 17, and tracks moving forward.
The true song title is 'Love's Holiday'. This is my favorite EWF song.
Great song! I want to suggest “Thank for letting me be myself” by Sly and the family stone. You guys would love it.
Love that song
YES… one of the funkiest ever!!
The birth of slappin' n poppin' bass by Larry Graham.🎸🎶
Love's Holiday from their multi-platinum album, All N All. They were at their peak until 1980. All N All includes Serpentine Fire, Fantasy, I'll Write a Song, and their Grammy Award-winning instrumental...Runnin'. What a GREAT album!!
"IMAGINATION " will blow your minds!! Most beatiful falsetto melodies ever!!
Best Group ever, They 've got so much fire it would take you forever to here it all.
This song’s title is Love’s Holiday. Takes me back to my high school days. Hit after hit - talk about a rabbit hole to go down. For Amber, listen to “Reasons” next for a similar vibe to this song. For Jay, check out “Serpentine Fire” for an upbeat jam.
This may be my favorite song from EWF. It’s great!!
“SEPTEMBER” and “LET’S GROOVE” are their very best, imho.
Hi, Jason and Amber! This song is actually called "Love's Holiday", the one i recently suggested and i'm glad you guys react to it. BTW, the song "Would you mind" is like an Acapella version of the song "Love's Holiday", it's a previously unreleased bonus track included on the All 'N All CD album version reissued in 1999 and on an UK 12" single vinyl record.
EW&F have another great hits like "Can't Hide Love", "Devotion", "Reasons", "That's the way of the world", "Boogie Wonderland", "After the love is gone", "September", "Let's Groove", "Could it be right", "Fall in love with me". Greetings from Brazil
Yeah, ‘September’’, ‘Let’s Groove ‘!!🔥🔥🔥
This is one amazing song. It's one of those love songs that really really touches your heart. And I like the way it starts off. "Would you mind"
"Can't hide love" will change your life ❤
They covered many genres. For more slower, groovier type songs, check out That's the Way of the World, Devotion, Keep Your Head to the Sky, and After the Love is Gone.
That's The Way of the World is pure poetry.
This is the soundtrack to my entire life. Slower songs by Earth Wind and Fire would be Reasons, Way of the World (Amber would fall in love with that song) and mid tempo would be Written in the Stone. Maurice White was one of the most important artists in my opinion. They really soared when Phillip Bailey added his incredible falsetto to the overall sound. These men wrote masterpieces, not just music.
I appreciate and approve this post. ✨️😊💛
I think you guys would really enjoy reacting to September by Earth Wind and Fire!
Earth, Wind, and Fire, the GOAT!!!! This song in particular was on a primo album, “All and All.” 🙂🙂🙂
I *love* this song! There are some other, great, slow-but-funky, sensual EWF songs too, such as "Can't Hide Love," which deserves a reaction. Actually, a year ago, you reacted to one of their very best slower songs-- "Reasons!" 🙂 That song is slow and sensual, and *very* soulful. If you haven't heard it since that first reaction, give it another listen, and pay close attention to the lyrics. They get deep!
You have just witnessed one of their greatest songs among all of their other great songs.
The ending is everything!!! “I’m gonna look into your eyes til I’m hypnotized…” 🎶🔥❤️🙌🏾
WOW!! That is so true: the ending of the song makes you feel that you are escaping with your lover...If you listen the succession of those chords, something makes you travel, escape with your love...
@@colette282 I’m telling you‼️💯
You have no idea how good they are. Please do Can't Hide Love next
I came here to suggest ‘Can’t Hide Love’ also. ‘I Think About Loving You’ is another beautiful song. There are so many other great suggestions.
All n All is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. What a presentation of music from opening to closing. There is not a finer 70s soul album.
One of my favourite groups.. takes me back 😊
Honestly, you could pick any song from. Earth, wind and fire. I'm so glad that I got to see them in concert and tell her every single person was dancing. It was outdoors, gorgeous. It was the best and it was my birthday present
Saw them twice in concert but never with Maurice.😥
I love this song I love earth and fire, but I wish you guys would listen to Earth, Wind & Fire‘s album Gratitude live
oh yes. ... hypnotized... Their vocals are outstanding. Wave-like arrangement. New fav EWF tune. Thanks for reacting to this one!
EWF is one of my all-time favorite band!!!! They have a lot of sensual songs......lol......"Let Your Feeling Show" is another great song from EWF....check it out!!!!
love the smooth groove of most all their music; "After The Love Has Gone" has always been a favorite!!
Hey Jay and Amber, the actual name of the song is called "Love's Holiday" Would You Mind is the first few words of the first line. Another song you may want to explore off the All N All Album is "Be Ever Wonderful" or "I'll Write a Song for You" These songs were heard at the concerts or at a house party but not on the radio. Last Dance songs.🥰
EWF went into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before many iconic rock bands. That's how much they are respected among musicians.
Hey guys, If you haven't already read some of the other comments, the actual title of this song is: "LOVE'S HOLIDAY!!!" Amber loves to hear the horns play, so I recommend that you react to Earth Wind & Fire's track from the same album titled: "MAGIC MIND." The horns truly blow on that one!!! And the track "IN THE STONE" from another one of their albums "I Am," Amber will be in "Horn Heaven!!!"
Great reaction. Reacting to EWF songs live is the key to everything. When I was in high school this was the biggest band to come to town. And you always looked forward to their shows, it was like a concert, the circus (They had David Copperfield creating magical illusions for them.) , and church all rolled into one. Also, they made songs so much better when performed live.
They could even take a song you might not have liked that much on the album and make it the best song of the night.
If you guys are interested, an interesting reaction would be to react to a studio version and then a live version to see this.
Examples: "Way of the World" studio version, then the live in Oakland in 81 version.
Or even better , listen to the studio version of "Magic Mind," one of the EWF songs that doesn't make that much of an impression, and then see how they turned it into a masterpiece live. This may be one of the best songs I have ever seen performed live. Check it here live in Japan in 79. ruclips.net/video/KiOZKkhsfiw/видео.html At about 10 minutes and 15 seconds in.
The amount of personality and showmanship they put into that song still moves me even to this day.
Magician/illusionist Doug Henning did the magic for EWF. Not Copperfield. But Henning was on the same level as Copperfield.
@@bonepicker1 thanks nit picker, not the point. Henning first, Copperfield later. Look it up. thanks for missing the point.
Actually I am truly thankful. You are a reminder to never post anything sincere or heartfelt. someone will just use it to score points. thanks for the reminder.
EWF the most incredible band ever lyrically, vocally and kick ass horn section. Man I love this song ❤
Earth Wind and Fire was one of those bands that EVERY SONG 🎵 on their albums was 🔥!
I bought this album back in the late 70`s and kept all my old high school records in storage. Someone broke into my storage and stole all my family videos and records. Never did I ever replace them. Your channel brings my heart into bliss and sadness. I miss my youth and especially the music. Music back then was your life. It helps get you through school and teenage life. When life gets out of hand music like this helped me get back. Thank you for bringing the music I lost so long ago back into my life. Even at my age, music from the past still saves my soul
"That's the way of the World" should be next.
I was in high school marching band in early ‘70s (Millwood OKC class of 74) and we played a LOT of EWF songs. They’ve aged a lot better than I have!😂
No doubt In the stone is one of them
They have a really smooth, mostly instrumental song that is pure FIYAH titled, "Sungoddess" that y'all should definitely react to. Great harmonizing and instrumentation!
Check out their songs Where Have All The Flowers Gone & Keep Your Head To The Sky. ( both are amazing).
The name of this song is actually Love’s Holiday 😂
..."Class of 76"...They have always been great! DON'T STOP!
I think the name of the song is actually Love’s Holiday. It’s an all time favorite❤
This is a great song. It would be great if you could do "Shining Star," their first #1 hit and a funk classic. A great love song that features some of the most amazing falsetto vocals is ""I'll Write a Song for You." Beautiful!
JAMMING!!!’
Such a wonderful song! Brings back so many memories thanks for reacting to this! I noticed you guys haven’t reacted to Jamiroquai from the 90s!! Great funky band check out their song ‘Alright’!
Virtual Insanity! Great song, cool vid.
@@sunnybearbudsyes!!! I tried checking their videos I don’t think they’ve reacted to any of their songs!!!
This song is actually called "Love's Holiday". Great song!
Now, that's real music!!
LOVE THIS SONG….THE EMBRACE EMPATHY T SHIRT IS BEAUTIFUL …❤ TO BOTH OF YOU….PLEASE KEEP US ROCKING 🙏🏾
Is there even any such thing as a bad E, W, & F song? Nope! This one's not even top 10 on my list, and it's still a whole mood!
Nope.
# 1 on my list!♥️♥️♥️♥️
Great tune from EW&F's heyday in the late '70s. IMPORTANT: The actual title of this song is "Love's Holiday" (for anyone who goes looking for it to download). RIP Maurice White.
“The way of the world”, Shinning Star” or “Keep you head to the sky”. Just to name a few, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Or my all time favorite; “Evil”! Wait… There’s more, maybe later!
Yes. Earth Wind & Fire will change your life.
A wonderful song
I was fortunate to see EW&F perform when Maurice was alive. He was a great composer, singer, percussionist and performer. Love this group!!!
There's nothing like this now. I'm so grateful for our old classic music! I wish we still had this. They don't know about this wonderful music today.
LOVE'S HOLIDAY is the actual name of the song. At least that's what this old(1977) E,W,&F Album All N All of mines says. Thanks Again Rob Squad.
EWF is truly a unique musical entity. A sound and attitude so full of positivity, so different than anything before and after their time. What a treasure.
Devotion is another great great song from the Elements
If you want something along this same vein, you definitely need to hear “Can’t Hide Love!Maurice White makes you feel like he can see right through you and that there ain’t no sense in hiding cuz he’s got your number😂🤣✌️🫶
That's one you sing loud in the car and don't care who is looking.
Seen them twice in the 70's, one of the shows is still the best show I've ever seen, The Emotions used to open for them quite a bit, the songs I still go back and listen to are, NEW WORLD SYMPHONY, SUN GODDESS, the intro AFRICANO MEDLY, and sometimes CAN'T HIDE LOVE, all from their Legendary Live album GRATITUDE, THAT'S THE WAY OF THE WORLD video with Harvey Keitel is wonderful, Maurice was the heart of this Band.
Fantastic band! The band combines a mix of groove, funk, disco and R&B in their music. One of the coolest bands ever. September is definitely one you should check out.
Love you two!
The title of the song is "Love's Holiday" not would you mind. EWF was a band based on love, happiness, and spiritulality. Their catalog is so deep that you could never reach the bottom! Philip Bailey is one of the greatest falsettos of all time! You want falsetto? Listen to "Head To The Sky"! Bands back in the day were versatile and could do it all.
