LeRoy Holmes: "Jungle Drums", arranged by Ray Conniff

Fans of Ray Conniff know his famous arrangement of "September Song" that he wrote for Harry James in 1947 and re-used in 1956 for his first album, "'s Wonderful!". For LeRoy Holmes' recording of "Jungle Drums" he used the same patterns, and listeners will immediately be reminded of Ray Conniff's arrangement of "September Song". This is a very rare recording. Conniff wrote its arrangement in August 1952, the 45 rpm EP it was taken from was released in 1954 in the UK. Thanks for the digital restoration go to Serge Elhaïk.
