  • Hi all,
I've showed you in the past some previous renditions of my 3D printed egg collector for breeding CPDs, Danios, Tetras and other egg scattering fish, and due to popular demand I have continued to refine the design to this day where I am really happy with it and have developed it into something that I can easily provide to you out there!
So thought I'd put together a how to video to show how it works and if you are interested in one you can pick it up here; www.etsy.com/au/shop/BlakesAq...
As mentioned in the beginning of this video, huge shout out to Michael Khor for working through the ideas with me. Check out his channel here; • Easy CPD Breeding / E...

I waited 24 hours before watching this because I figured as soon as I watched this I would have an extended DIY job on my hands. I made something already after an early video of yours but was running the eggs into an internally mounted Ziss breeding box. I am not sure if I had to much air running and was straining the eggs out through the sides of the ziss breeding box or what . I had no still water area for day old fry . As I retired guy I have the time to play around with plastic funnels and air lift tubes etc. . Thanks for the tips on a still water area for newly hatch fry. It’s great Fishman follows you Blake. Keep up the good work mate.

Hey mate - you were awesome enough to share your stl with me back in sept and I edited it a bit and attached it to a small breeder box as well :D
Totally appreciate you don't want to share the stls anymore because of the effort you've put in - real top effort.
I love that you've designed it to fit a screw in elbow. I designed 3d printed elbow and tube to squeeze into a piece of plastic bunnings tube and attach the airline, but the design you've come up with is heaps better.
Thanks for your help and advice. Your videos have been super helpful!!!

Great video mate and thanks for the credit. Very neat little solution you’ve settled on. That’s the fun bit about the hobby, just keep tweaking the print until you get it right. Just had a thought. You could also have the riser tube go into a floating breeder box if you didn’t have an external one. That’s what I do because I have lids on our tanks.

Maybe I am a control freak but to be honest the more hands the files pass through the more risk of something going wrong for me. With 1 harvest of a clutch of eggs from emerald rasboras, galaxy rasboras or many other species $100s of dollars can be made so for me it should be easily justified.

Looks like something that I may wanna try with my own fish! Only questions I can muster is are hatchery boxes sold separately, as are extra pieces (hoses, plastic pipe, etc.) to attach to said hatch box? Im planning to use a srandard 10 gallon to breed some white cloud minnows and danios and possibly neon tetras. Other than that, love the videos, dude!
