I feel like the main reason is that, nintendo philosophy for games is to have them have something new, usually that something is the main focus of the gameplay, so using the same gameplay for the third time, when your last game was the same thing as the first one but with new things added, they must have though that it wasn't a good idea, also the would have probably complained about it just like they did with the NSMB saga
Yeah thats the main idea i was getting at with reason 1, Nintendo does NOT like giving their (Big) 3D Projects sequels, if they did we would have DEFINITELY gotten Sunshine 2. I seriously dont think Nintendo would ever purposely go back just to make galaxy 3, especially when they didnt even want Galaxy 2 in the first place
I think there is a sliver of hope for the Galaxy series, but not as a Mario game. They could potentially revive it as a Rosalina spinoff, similar to what they did with the likes of Yoshi's Island and Wario Land back in the day. But it's been so long that they might not even do that either.
@@mondopatrick Not sure if you're joking, but I'm thinking more Rosalina Galaxy. She was introduced in the series, is deeply connected to it, and she's a fairly popular character so it would make sense for her to be the star if they want to continue it as a spinoff.
The first Nintendo games to actually feature DLC were Waifu Emblem 1(Fire Emblem 13 or Awakening if you don't like the name) and NSMB2, both for the 3DS.
That is true and interesting but if galaxy got its DLC it would have been the first releasing at around 2009-2010 Kind of wish Wiiware did do DLC, the closest it got was that Zelda Update channel but thats more of a patch
The switch was honestly the most disappointing console I've ever played that released in my lifetime, at least the Wii U had a well thought out ui and plenty of features, and SOME good games, and the 3ds had about the same set of features and ui elements, and they had Nintendo selects, and free online, and a usable digital store, the switch really has nothing but the games going for it, and compared to absolutely anything else, the switch is too lacking in anything to really warrant how expensive it is to enjoy it, the console at least is about 120 USD for a used switch lite, then the games are 40-56 USD used if first party, then if a joycon breaks that's 80 usd, now for games i played on it? Most WERE good, but the hardware and the price was not that great, and animal crossing new leaf Mario kart 8 deluxe and Pokemon violet felt rushed in ways, why? New Horizons lacked tons of features new leaf had at launch, including seasonal events, the villagers have shallow dialogue and personalities, and the game after a while just is a island decorator game, it's not that fun really, then Mario kart 8 deluxe? It's Mario kart 8, but with a bit of additions, and dlc, that's about all it is, it was plain lazy, yea, the Wii U ports are lazy, but it did indeed introduce those Wii U exclusives to a new audience, but they really should of been discounted and not sold at full price, now for Pokemon violet, well, just like all the Pokemon switch games, it didn't have enough dev time, or optimization, and for a bonus, tears of the kingdom puts the switch to its knees, and it has to look muddy and play terribly just to get on the console at about 27 fps, the switch gotta go, the Nintendo I knew is seriously gone, just as the Sony I knew is just as the Xbox I knew is, nothing is the same anymore, it's all about money
people always talkin about galaxy 3 or odyssey 2, meanwhile i'm holding out for mario teaches typing 3
Real fan type hype
If they brought back 3 very old RPG Series from the dead, I'm pretty sure Galaxy 3 will happen eventually
Although i seriously doubt it since the RPGs are a different story
I hope im wrong and galaxy 3 happens
The RPGs are a different story. They were meant to be an ongoing series. Galaxy was not. The only reason 2 happened was because of leftover ideas.
Great Video! Maybe we could do a collab someday

I didnt own either of those things in the big big year of 2020
If Mario galaxy 3 happened it should have a good narrative and a bigger hub world than starship Mario

Warios Galaxy would be very fun
