Ep. 1 - Preparing a New Giant Pumpkin Patch

In this video I show some of the steps I am taking to get my new patch ready for the 2024 giant pumpkin growing season. These are the same steps you could use to prepare a new garden in your backyard! The compost for this patch was graciously given to me by a neighbor who is a dairy farmer, in exchange for some giant pumpkin seeds. It was a win-win for both of us.

Get after it and block that wind. Definitely play the music for the pumpkin lol I did the year I grew the 2350 lol didn't last year 😂 but keeping deer away is a good idea

I just let the weeds get really tall and use that as a natural wind block. Probably not the right way to go about it, but worked last year for the most part.
