Takafumi Arisawa lol

Toyota Tacoma: the truck you buy when your frat buddies aren't allowed to ride in the bed of your Ranger
Underbelly skid plate and snorkel, for taking your car off-road NEVER.
Zombie apocalypse
As a New Yorker( non city folk type I'm not an islande) I would see plenty of use on my back roads.
seriously, that car was so clean underneath. no scratches, no anything

Yeah, this thing was brand new when the video was filmed, but _suuure,_ you have to offroad it as _SOON_ as you buy it!
Here in Vermont everyone has one of these or the new trd 4Runner, it’s almost like every wealthy person here drives one that looks just like the one in this video. I’m still driving a 1990 4Runner lol
Mr Regular, incredible interpretation once again. Poetic genius.
Currently, drywall everywhere shivers after this video.
One of the best in a while. Fantastic.
Big fan Josh.
I don't normally watch RUclips ads, but I will for RCR.
Man you’re always putting me in my feels. Talking about “the significance of an eye level conversation with your parents”. I’m still thinking about what you said about a relationship isn’t about giving 50/50 it’s about giving 100/100 BOTH CHEEKS IN. love your vids and perspective on life man
KYLE! Congrats on getting your Taco featured :D
Manual transmission, hydraulic steering, 4x4, rear locker. As tacky and expensive as this thing is, that is getting to be a really rare combo these days.
As a subaru owner, not gonna lie, I love that truck.
Shawn Warnick is it the color? It's the color isn't it.
absboodoo lol!
Basic bitch car choices.
@@xSnakeBerryx literally use my car for cargo and bad weather. The rest of the time I'm on my motorcycle so really there is no point of a fancier or more sporty car.
honestly. Half the time i just listen to his videos to go to sleep.
I don't even watch the visuals LOL.
It’s honestly awesome that Toyota offers a manual in their Tacoma still. I am a owner of a 1ste gen 2.7 5 speed tacoma and love manual trucks. Keep it up Toyota! Don’t let the manual die.
Not gonna lie: one of my favorite things about watching RCR videos is playing the "where in PA are they driving today" game.
Having lived most of my life in the Hudson Valley (just east of the tristate border) and moving to Wisconsin, I can kind of tell if they're closer to the northeast or midwest just based on the buildings and geography, and it's fun to take a stab and see how close I was.
Today's adventure was in Pottsville, if anyone was wondering.
2:56 that gearknob is excited to see you
Can confirm. Sold my 2015 STI after 2 motor rebuilds for a 2017 Tacoma Offroad. Moves my dirtbike around great.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the fact that it's a 40k truck with DRUM BRAKES IN THE REAR. Love your vids keep them up bro
Even my mid 90s Isuzus had discs in the rear.
@@williamparker7823 They aren't horrible trucks, but if I'm shelling out 40 fucking grand for a Raptor competitor GIVE ME D I S C S
As I understand it, lots of pickup trucks still use drums in the rear because drums are almost impossible to overheat, which is useful when towing.
@@deusexaethera This doesn't sound right honestly.
@@ilpatongi: I'm passing along hearsay. I could be wrong.
2018 Toyota Tacoma: “ Yes I do think my Taren Tactical Semi Auto Shotgun is worth 4 grand”
Now to wait for Jalopnik to rip off this review and post an article...
Joe Gravelle Oh I’m sure they will. Jalopnik is really shit these days.
have they ripped off RCR before?
Charlie Foxtrot Yes, numerous times.
Jalopnik really fell down when the new Alfa Romeo Giulia came out. And wrote an article about how bad it is simply based off of pre production press testers that were going into limp mode after being driven way too hard. The article also made fun of some reviewers who owned these Alfa’s and said they weren’t having issues. They also claimed in the article that the BMW 3 series equivalent is better, but many serious true car review sites said otherwise. Never opened their website since.
Road & Track too
Lost it at the "shooting a quick 9" part. This is why I am subscribed to you.
Happy memorial day everyone! Great way to start it👊
It’s not a happy holiday.
I just found your channel last night and I love everything that I've been seeing so far.
Let's act like Kyle wasn't vaping. 😂😂😂😂
SUBARU BRO
I'm vaping now so I guess I fall into that category 😂😂🤣
This is my toy car. Also my real car. AMERICAN TOYOTA
Well that doesn’t make any sense at all
He should've said this in the video.
Toyota is still owned by Japan😂😂
@@III1IlIIlIllIl No one outside of the US would buy such a car. Because it is AMERICAN TOYOTA
The "I make 5 figures but somehow manage this truck, an RV, a jeep, 2 sand buggies, a dirt bike and a boat" truck.
I will always pronounce it "Turd Pro"
Everyone I work with at the Toyota Dealership call them turds for short Hahaha but we love them
TRD 4x4 = terd ferf
Taco Turd Pro Ferf - yes.
My mom is about to buy a 14 Tacoma TForce. One of the coolest trucks I’ve seen. 80k miles on it but all the maintenance records are there. Hardly any imperfections on it. We test drove it and the 4.0 and five speed are perfect, and the ride is pretty good too.
Toyota Tacomas are the state truck of Hawaii

*_HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS SHIT?!?!?_*
I have been looking for a regular car review that justifies my choice of first car for my neice. Zero. Only conformation that uncles have no place in life decisions but I like to think my advice is solid. And floor chimes and learning marks "Are a thing"
Nailed the Subaru fan boy comments. I traded STi for a 2019 taco last year
Sounds like this is the car for me, I’ve never owned a Subaru but otherwise it should fit nicely.
I like the six speed and locker. Everything else I could live without.
Then get a frontier... save 10-15 thousand and get more comfortable seating and better reliability.... and disk brakes... if that matters to you.
They’re pretty decent trucks but my problem with Nissan is the closest dealership is roughly 100 miles away. But I didn’t know you could get one with a manual and a locker so that’s something to consider when I buy my next truck.
Lookaway GRstay don’t get a Nissan if you ever want to run your truck to 200k+ miles and still have any resale value when you’re ready to update. FYI TRD Off Road has a rear diff locker and the same engine / tranny as the Pro..

That condensate drain extension is going to do very little as far as frame rust goes. Road spray/ salt spray is the real killer. Get the underbody Krown sprayed (or another corrosion oil spray) if you really want to slow the rusting.
I can't believe you didn't mention that snorkel isn't really a snorkel.
Really?
I'd feel silly enough driving a Jeep with a real one and never actually off roading.
Fake snorkels? Oh god.
@@bloozism It's not fake, not exactly, but it definitely isn't a snorkel. It's an air intake meant to help out when you're kicking up a lot of dust off-road.
Yeah it's gotta be for show. Who's going to risk totaling a 45k truck in water deep enough to need the snorkel in the first place? You'll ruin the interior and probably the electronics at a minimum. Save that stuff for a beater truck
@@andreww.3208 Again, it's not for water, or for looks. It's an air intake for desert driving where a lot of dust gets kicked up. Or for driving in convoy offroad, where you're literally in a cloud of dust.
I have an 86 4runner and have rebuilt every part of it in my driveway and I looooove when kyles in brand new Tacoma’s come up to me and say “hey check out my sick Toyota! It’s a beast off road” lmfao
When I used to work at Toyota and drove manual Tacoma, every time I shift it makes the biggest clunking noise.
the guy being pulled over at 1:30 is the most new jersey thing ever
I see a TRD Pro Tacoma or Tundra and think to myself, "There goes a sucker". $45,000 and you are paying MSRP(my dealer had a $5000 markup on a Tacoma Pro). New SR5 4wd stickers for $35k, dealer will work with you on price because he has 10 other SR5's on the lot he needs to move. All I'm saying is $10,000 buys you way cooler wheels/tires and a lot more lift with $$$ left over. $10,000 is a lot to pay for badges, Fox shocks, leather seats, sunroof and a douche bro snorkel.
Thank you for keeping me company while i was eating. Video ended at the last bite exactly lol .
I reject Kyles fathers advice.
All these years later, that lone turtle is still floating in the South Figaro Caves.
After the world ends, this Tacoma will still be going strong.
Kudos to Toyota for keeping it old school real on this truck, and kudos to Kyle for being a member in good standing of the "Shift it Yourself Club."
i like that the ad for this vid told me to stop thinking of buying a tacoma and instead get a ranger
You think you guys will get around to reviewing a second or third gen Dakota?
About a few years ago he did a POV drive with a Dakota with the Magnum V8. Not sure if he'll fully review one though.
Enrique Gonzalez that’s what I meant, a full review, I’d like to hear his thoughts, not just the POV.
Currently have a 2002 wrx wagon. I owned a 02 sedan in the past as well but I was just thinking about selling it and getting a 2000 tundra. This video definitely seals the deal.
Honestly I feel a 4 cylinder would sound better than this v6. Even with the TRD exhaust.
At least you would have something to talk about. The size of those cylinders!
Gotta say.. your 4 runner vid and FJ vid were awesome!!! I got rid of my ‘87 4 runner .. to upgrade to a ‘07 Tacoma 4x4 - from my parents.. dealer maintained.. and I truly miss my first gen runner .. but gizzing everyday with the taco. No rose water and yes dear ..

Got to drive a 4Runner TRD Off-road for 3 solid months over the past summer. God that truck is fun. So peppy and fun, while not being "oh dear lord" scary. Great crawl mode.

Australias TRD 4x4, the Hilux, has a 4L supercharged v6 pushing 225 kw (301 hp) and 453Nm (334 ft-lbs). Strange in my opinion that the Amercian's did get something more beefy
