You never thought you actually considered using maya software for rendering, do you? Sadly, Maya software rendering has many issues, otherwise it could have so much potential for using together with X-Ray. please don't rely on maya software for rendering but if you were just playing around with it and found some of the possible causes of those crashes and bugs, please let me know, maybe I could fix some of them.
Here is comparision with evee: ruclips.net/video/Uwzo97tiXg4/видео.htmlsi=prR8UlwiDZ-h_Nv8&t=515 there is not really that much of a render time, while there is a baking time and it can take some times, it is still faster in most cases. for example in this video i did a test of 200 frames of camera animation and in evee it took 34 minutes while in X-Ray with the whole baking and rendering to disk it took only 8 minutes. and the good about X-Ray is that after baking there is no more processing so next time if you want to make a change or render from another camera it will take only 19 seconds while in evee it took another 34 minutes.
overal the quality will closely match the arnold render, but one difference would be the detail that you get from normal map, if you want to get all the small details you should either set sss map to a high resolution or just use specular and reflection to bump those details up into attention.

This is great. How does it render skin shaders?
There are some SSS examples on my channel. for example this one: ruclips.net/video/-tc8RO-gB8c/видео.html

Can i export the Xray lightmaps in maya for unity?
all lightmaps are saved on disk as .exr files, you can use them in any app you want
mAYA (yeah, that's correct logo) is dead
