I live in an new apartment complex that has 1GIG Fiber installed, but have had nothing but poor wifi quality over the past year with my GT-AXE11000 by itself or even within a mesh system which shouldn't even be needed in a 1150sq. ft apartment but we were desperate, working from home. We're moving to a town house and will be upgrading to the AXE-16000 because the ASUS app and interface is so much better than others.
Thank you for the comparison test. Eyeing for GT-AXE16000 to replace my ageing RT-AC5300 but the price is still the holding factor😂. Currently my setup is RT-AC5300 meshed with AC2900. It's very stable and rarely I need to reboot the system. Keep the videos coming Bro👍👍👍👍
Greetings I've a question. I wish to set up a home mesh using 1 main router & 2 touter nodes At the same time, I'll also connect another 2 routers from my tenant's room to my main router. Will there be any problem withbthis setup?
@Behfor Firstly, thank you for your reply. 5 routers altogether (All are Asus) 1 will be used as main 2 will be nodes (Like a mesh all under 1 wifi name) Another 2 for my 2 rent out rooms (Separate wifi names)
great videos. new subscriber to your page. I have a question. I am not much of a techie person. I live in a two story townhome approx 1700 sq ft with lots of devices on the internet. About 4 computers, 3 tvs with streaming devices for live tv and movies, 4 cell phones, 2 tablets and 2 gaming consoles. I was looking into the TP-Link Archer AXE75. Do you think this will support all my devices? I have 500 mbps spectrum internet and currently use their modem and router but want to get rid of their router. What would be your recommendation
The Archer AXE75 could be alright for your needs. Just make sure to install it correctly to get good coverage. But if you want to future-proof your setup, you might consider Wi-Fi 7-check out the video right after this one. Any of those options would be fine depending on your budget. Thanks.
Hi i have a RT-AC68u, ac wifi, and i have 1 gigabit internet speed, my desktop is getting that speed but on my wireless devices i only get 400 mbit, like on my latest macbook pro m3pro chip.... So i need to upgrade my router? Thanks
Generally speaking, the better WiFi technology you have, the better the WiFi speed, capacity, and even range. So, if you are already okay with your situation-for example, if you run a speed test on a laptop or smartphone and your Internet speed is as expected-then you are probably fine. But if you're having some sort of issue, then you can consider upgrading your WiFi. Basically, if it ain't broken, don't touch it. Are you currently using WiFi 5 (802.11 AC)?
@@Behfor I am using 802.11 ac with basic subscription. Currently living in a crowded accommodation with 12 people. Some user (random) getting disconnected (very frequent) for unknown reason. The disconnected user will reset the router to be reconnected again. It happens 3-4 times a day. Is it the hardware or the subscription not enough?
I have a router that does same thing but when neighbour uses illegal software on his phone or other device like pc. When he is not home everything is great. So check your neighbour first then waste money on unneeded spending. And wifi ac is as strong as wifi 6. Just use stronger longer password with words and numbers like 16-25 characters the longer the stronger your network against gremlins nearby.
Dear Sir Please suggest how to setting Asus RT ax86u pro After use in normal 2-3 days my 2.4 ghz replace by 5-1 and 5-2 ghz Then all of my iot device cannot connect - soft and hard reset 2-3 time before led on router 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz inform then set up again normal - if soft and hard reset when led show only power led and network led this router cannot join change name network as my old router ax1800 zenmini xd4 - now set by close 802.11ax mode of 2.4ghz set mode legacy 20 mhz set tx power good and close roaming assistant 2.4/5 ghz - use normal but seem not full speed of 1000/500 mb Thank you for further suggest
Hello, I'm not sure if I understand the question. Did you say your 2.4 GHz band turned into a 5 GHz band? That's impossible sir. A 2.4 GHz band can only operate on a 2.4 GHz frequency and cannot change to 5 GHz. How do you know both bands are 5 GHz? Did you use a WiFi analyzer app to determine that both are actually 5 GHz bands? Maybe the name of one of them is '5' but the frequency is still 2.4 GHz.
In admin web ui 192.168.xx.x if normal am separate 2.4/5 ghz but when this situation my asus app menu wifi setting not show anything and admin web 192.168.xx.x show only 5ghz-1 and 5 ghz-2 on ssid
Yesterday am fix again that’s ok till this morning Setting - close 802.11ax Mode 2.4 GHz - open 160 MHz choose 80 MHz 5 GHz - open 802.11ax Mode 5 GHz - Set 2.4 GHz Wireless Mode Legacy 20 MHz - close Roaming assistant 2.4/5 GHz - Set Tx power adjustment Good 2.4 GHz
Absolutely, WiFi 7 is the latest and greatest in terms of performance. But it's not just about knowing what's best-it's about making a decision that fits your needs and budget. WiFi 7 is quite pricey, so considering all factors is the smart move!
I would stay away from WiFi 6e routers as wifi 7 routers are being released Because some handphone are skipping support for wifi 6e and support WiFi 7. So the 6e can't be utilised

You're very welcome! I know it is very expensive !!! Thanks for sharing 👍
Hey, in your opinion which router has the better wifi range/signal coverage.. ASUS RT-AX86U Pro or the TP-Link Archer AXE75 ? Loving your videos man

Also, a WiFi 7 router wont make anything better but drain your wallet if you onlu have 500 megaBIT /s wifi. 500MBPS is only 62.5 MB/s download speed
How about the TP- LINK EAP650? Can be indoor and outdoor
Thanks an AP not a Wireless Router.
Great stuff as usual. Surprised the ASUS zen WiFi pro ET12 is not in there.
Thanks! The idea was to only include single wireless routers. The Zen WiFi is a mesh system, so I might dedicate a separate video to mesh systems. 👍

Thanks again for sharing! Is the backhaul wireless or wired?
@@Behfor it's wired via MoCa adapter (coaxial to lan cable )

Electroboom since when do you have hair?
Need parental control best router...
And Pixel 8 series support wi-fi7
only pixel 8 and 8 pro, not 8a
Thks & you have a WiFi router PhD
😂👍
When the router has no 2.5gb connection you will be limited to 1gb link connection. never buy any router without 2.5gb in 2024.
