      There are many in India who change sides for their own gains. It has been the theme all along Indian history where someone from the Indian camp betrayed. Be it the Rajput Kingdoms or Southern Kingdoms or Maratha Empire or Sikh Empire, all had their own people plotting with foreigners to destroy the nation from the inside.
      These people have not gone away. They still exist and are quick to change sides.
      You might be from the side of Prithviraj or Holkar or Ranjit Singh, but there will always be a Jaichand, Scindia and Gulaab Singh around.

    Finally, the right inquiry. And I say this as a person who has renounced his Indian Citizenship as well.
    Only way India, or for that matter any country, gets stronger is only on its basis of elevating its citizens. And it's not just the govt. but the citizens need to work hard and not blame the govt. Remember, it's a democracy. Ajay Banga is Indian educated too, so are Parag Agarwal, Nooyi, Nadela, and Pichai. What's stopping the rest from working hard? But work hard and stay within India to make India stronger and not chase $$. Adani and Ambami are both Indian citizens. Ambani is Asia's richest man! It can be done.

Push for its Own citizens, yes true but I think it would take another two decades from here till we reach that stage where we can retain talents and this is not going to be easy. You are right, India needs to learn...govt have to plan for a long-term perspective.     Very well said Palki! What you say about Banga, Sundar Pichai and other achievers of Indian Origin also applies the NRI's - engineers and IT professionals who migrate to the west. They too are not Indian citizens. They benefit from Indian taxpayer's money for their education and Indian values, and then they migrate to the west and give away their careers, wealth, lives to make the western nations stronger. They hardly remit to India, unlike Indians who bring money back to India from gulf countries.

    Big difference.. China nominates CHINESE NATIONALS at UN bodies and such. India has got nothing to do with 'Indian Origin' nominees.
