It's your personality, your empathy, and even your challenges with some of the place names that make the stories better when you read them, Cam. They might be able to mimic the Buckner voice, but they'll never mimic the Buckner charm.

Cam I don't know whether you remember me or not. Just to refresh your memory, I'm the lady that wrote you about three years ago about my granddaughter & I enjoying your videos every Friday night while eating out popcorn. I'd promise her if one come out during the week I would wait until Friday so she could watch it with me. Well about six months ago I lost my viewing partner, she found something more interesting than her grandma's company, BOYS!!! I knew it was going to happen but I have to admit it broke my heart, it was our special time. I just couldn't watch your videos for some time but I finally got over it. We made some great memories & I will keep that close to my heart. I'm now back watching all your videos & catching up on what I missed & still love them all. She'll ask me once in awhile how your doing & how the videos are & I tell her they are still great. She said if I ever write you again to please tell you Hi for her. She's busy with her teenage friends and that's a good thing because it's bringing her out of her shell. Hope you and your family are doing great & God bless you all!
My wife is going through the same thing. We've lost one granddaughter to those damn boys, but we have two young ones . I dread the day they branch out with their own lives. I guess I'll have to keep my wife entertained...LOL. I'm glad you've found time to listen again. Thank you.

@@DixieCryptid Cam I forgot to mention one of the things my granddaughter took away from watching your videos, your music. She is now almost 16 years old and I often her your music coming from her room even when she has her friends over. Her mother has asked her where she heard the music before & she just says Dixie Cryptid Mom & her mother just leaves it at that. I know it puts a smile on my face, just knowing maybe she has good memories from our Friday nights together. I know I sure do, thanks Cam!

Landon's story makes one think of something Steven King would write. Some teen boys on an adventure in the woods when a creature shows up. Cam's down-home narration only adds to the ambience. Cam, you are an awesome narrator! When you tell a story, it is like we are sitting around a campfire taking it in. A Southern accent like yours is so inviting and warm. Keep doing what you do.

My Sister is a Yooper ( resident of Michigan upper peninsula) they had a beautiful day yesterday 74 degrees a little warm. Today where she is in the UP they have a blizzard warning with 5 - 17" of snow expected depending on how fast the ground temps drop, it's 32 air temp currently ( 6:00 pm Sunday ).

First one almost seems like a gargoyle, or a giant humanoid bat. Literal ‘batman’ or batsquatch has been reported, at least in Washington, I know that.
I'm actually the daughter in this story. Gargoyle or humanoid bat makes sense...But the sun was still out so I'm not sure of the lore on gargoyles but don't they only "wake up" after sunset? Maybe the bat person, though. lol. Whatever it was, it was FREAKY.
