Sweet Jesus I haven't heard this since I was in Nam, I am being flooded with emotions. The drummer was the spittin image of my departed brother...RIP Calvin
Wow, I've never heard this one before. Loved it! CCR has such a unique sound. They play harder and more aggressive than the Brits I usually love. Also love listening to John Fogarty, great southern blusey rocking sound.
The very best jam by Creedence for me, this tune goes hard and does not let up. Great tune & Refill the bong for this one! For another, do Susie Q, John Forgery in hypnotic Rock Shaman mode. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎶
There is not a bad song on this entire record! I read an article that said the drummer Doug Clifford aka Cosmo would stay in the studio on his lunch break and smoke. The rest of the band came back and they said man there’s more smoke in here than a factory, and I think John said yeah it’s cosmos factory! I’ve loved them since I was a kid, check out Effigy next!
Oh how I remember the cover of this album in 1970. We played it to death! So many great songs. I could listen to Ramble Tamble all day long going about my day. Phenomenal band! So many great songs they did! Looping and looping..aww it wasn't long enough! That's called jamming!
Hey man, check out their song Hideaway (Wish I Could). It's such an emotional song about noticing that someone else is suffering, perhaps on the verge of suicide, and asking them is there anything you can do to help. It's musically brilliant and the whole thing just packs this emotional punch, and yet it's beautiful as well.
The middle section was repetitive but not on a loop. Each section had something built on top of it that was different from the section before it. It built up in variations that were all unique if you listen closely. It is almost hypnotic.
Strong disagreement about the instrumental being too long. Sometimes a jam just sounds great and you want to let it wash over you and just enjoy it. And there's a sense of momentum that just builds up and you have to let it play out to its full length.
So many hidden gems and deep cuts on those albums. This is one of those. You barely hear them on reaction channels. Great choice! You're right about the solo section though. He could have done better on that. But their first (debut) album is full of extensive and creative solos. Unfortunately as they grew more popular Fogerty limited their output to 2 or 3 minute songs. He was an excellent lead guitarist though. ""Keep On Chooglin" is such a great jam with extended guitar and harmonica solos.
CCR didn't do long jams ordinarily (Suzie Q and I Put A Spell On You were exceptions), they were known for the opposite, cranking out 3 minute made-for-AM-radio masterpieces, one after another. I agree, the extended part of this didn't seem to be going anywhere. I still like it anyway because it's Credence and therefore righteous despite its excesses
I thought this song would never get reviewed as it is a deep cut. One of my favorites. Thanks!
First album I ever bought in 1970 when I was 10! And this was my favorite track on it then and still is to this day!
One of their lesser played songs, but a hidden gem.
Definitely my favorite CCR song

Awesome freaking percussion driven sound, puts you in a trance.........
Cosmo's Factory is almost like a greatest hits album, it's just loaded with great song after great song.
perfect album
Digging into the CCR deep tracks! Excellent. Great tune and it's good to hear it again.
👍👍Old school goodness. I loved CCR back in the day. 🖖❤

I think you didn't notice the subtle changes in the final part. It wasn't solely repeating and it has a lovely mesmeric quality.
Possibly, It definitely will get another listen tho

First track off one of my top 10 fave albums. So good! dbl ♥
This song is exactly how I felt inside after my first drink of moonshine. I was shivering and shaking before I knew it.
lol Moonshine is no joke
There aren’t many songs where I remember where I was first time I heard it, but this is one
Just WOW❤
One of the Greatest Bands!!
I listened to this song a lot on my 8 track player going to high school in my car. High school was 7 miles away.
The best ever CCR Jam along with Heard it Through the Grapevine and Susie Q.
Play that shit JOHN!
One of their longer epics. I think I felt similar to you the first time I heard it, but love the full duration of it now

49.9K... I can smell success around the corner, bro!
Thanks Fam!!
CCR!
To my knowledge the only 60s rock band to obstain from drugs of any kind! One of the more obscure gems that was killer! Keep up the good work!
My favorite CCR Psychedelic tune of all time.
F...I...R...E...!
That GRETSCH THO!

Delve into CCR DEEPER. Grew up with them. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you

"Effigy" is another really good deep cut by CCR.
Creedence conforme pasa el tiempo se escuchan más chingón
React to born on the bayou, I put a spell on you and fortunate son🤟🏻✌️💙

Nunca escuche una voz que que se parezca a la de John Fogerty

I Heard it on The Grapevine?
You have missed the point.
very fair reaction. Great song, but I can't argue. it might go on just a bit too long. Great song though.
Nope, it's perfect.
ccr was fogerty... i just can't here enough of this hit , too long? if it went 10 min. would be ok. just saying. thanks...
Seemed like a B side song eh.
No. It's brilliant. I love it. Not everything is worse than chart music if it's not in the singles charts
Nope. Leads off the best album they did. In your face, man!
I think this is their best song, the instrumental part his the peak of their career
They have many better tunes than this one.
Agree but its still fire
This is Creedence at the PEAK!
Please react to CCR "Down on the Corner".
I Have
