This will be the world's new reserve currency, and probably end the U.S. dollar forever. Have you heard about BRICS? Well if not, you'll likely be hearing a lot more about them in the near future.

Economics and finance are complicated subjects. However, it's clear to see from these early pros and cons just how powerful a BRICS currency would be. And how likely, it could easily remove the economic superiority of the United States, and the West as a whole.

It would probably eventually kick it out, but it would first reduce the US dollar to some sort of regional currency i think

@@silesianbeer I hope you are talking about just kashmir, which is seen by many as a disputed territory. But in the map shown complete north of india is missing, which is not acceptable at all, but the youtuber apologized for it in the comment section.
Now regarding kashmir, I hope someone can explain how this area is conflicted. With the logic that there are alot of muslims in that area, they can take over any part of the world where it's a Muslim majority. Or india has claim to any part of the world which has hindus as majority.

The legal right to the land goes to the person who holds the deed to the land, which is india, when it comes to kashmir.

@@VishnuAnilkumar1 When British leave the raj in 1947, they divided it into muslim Pakistan and hindu India. India hane no any right to this piece of land. Historically Kashmir belonged to sikh empire, which is history of Pakistan, not India

But it was upto each state on whether to join india or pakistan or to not join either. Now initially kashmir didn't want to be part of india or pakistan, untill pakistan attacked wanting to grab what is not theirs like always. At which point, the ruler of kashmir officially signed a legal document stating that kashmir was part of India so that Indian army could be used to fight the war.
We have that document, do you have any such document? Or is it all just words?if it's just words, as I said earlier, pakistan can start claiming any muslim or Sikh majority area in the world as theirs... so can india if it's Hindu majority. Words without actual proof mean nothing.

I'm Brazilian and would definitely prefer a currency backed by gold to be used as a reserve. The U.S. decided to leave the gold standard, get into a lot of debt and print lots of dollars. The dollar doesn't have the attraction it used to have as a reserve currency.

Most of this has been known in certain circles for some time now, but I do very much appreciate how cogently and concisely it was packaged here. Well done. What I would like to see is some discussion of how one might capitalize on this shift early...essentially, how to invest in the BRICS system, so to speak. A financial system built on air is doomed to implode at some point, getting in on a stable gold-backed system early could be very advantageous toward personal security, but I'm clueless on how to do so.
Seeing as it's still being developed, i doubt that it is possible to invest yet. But once it gets formally launched, I'm sure there will be another video or two on youtube about it

Yes, it's quite possible the the Dollar will lose it's reserve status. But the US might just get lucky and keep it's status. The BRICS have been trying to do this for a decade. It would require an agreement on a new currency between these parties who don't like each other.

@OddPotato Yes, it will come, for a time maybe backed by Gold and then unbacked and then inflated open end. But much, much faster then the US did with the dollar. On top of that - Nations which try to get together via some centralised currency - and this Brickmoney is nothing else - should take a look what this made with the nations of Europe. Start integration via currency is a lie, it doesn’t work. Different mentalities, productivity, import- and export rates are deciding aspects amongst others. No „united“ currency can swipe this away.

AS AN AMERICAN, I have seen the steady DECLINE of the US dollar since 1971 (when Nixon took it off the "gold standard"). Prior to that fatal error, the dollar was "good as gold", and so were many European currencies like the Pound Sterling, German Mark, & Swiss Franc. When all those nations followed America down the primrose path of "fiat currency", inflation SKYROCKETED along with PRICES. As retirees, we are now at the official "poverty level", after working all our lives to support "the system". PATHETIC !

Why is the average westener not aware of this petro/reserve dollar system? I even had a friend who studied economics at university (in the Netherlands), he was aware of the system hmself, but he never heard about it at his studies.
Another addition to this is the petrodollar.
Saudi is looking to ditch the petrodollar currency for trade and rather prefer currency exchange from strong economies like China and India.

During WW2 America liberated millions of people who were enslaved under the brutal Empire of Japan. in the 1950's we saved South Korea from a joint invasion from North Korea and China. Had America not done so South Korea would be like North Korea today. At this moment the only restraining force that allows Taiwan to remain free are American forces. The protection of countries such as Japan to Australia relies largely on America. Turning to Europe the only reason countries in Western Europe remain free is America was able to hold Stalin at bay in 1945. Had it not been the case all of Europe would be under the Russian Communist system. Take some time to talk to people who lived under Japanese occupation or Russian occupation in Eastern Europe or the Nazi regime in Europe. The best hope for the world is a strong United Nations.

A few days ago, China and the ECB (European Central Bank) signed a bilateral money exchange agreement. This keeps the USD out of the picture in mutual trade. The purpose of this agreement is to send a clear signal to the US that Europe will align with China unless the US stops taking advantage of the EU.
There's nothing new in your comment, they agreed this way back in 2013. This was just an extension of their bilateral euro-renminbi currency swap. Conditions are pretty much the same.
We pay your defense bills and will end out fighting WWIII on your behalf. Europe takes advantage of the US and then pretends to be so much more sophisticated.

Even as a south african, I think it will be worth investing but at this point in time all of the countries mentioned above have weaker currencies than the dollar, once the south african rand was backed by gold and was stronger than even the pound, but the unfortunate truth is that the management of power will become more unstable as well.

Having a country like Russia will actually bolster their dominance. Russians have Oil and Weapons that other’s don’t and others have everything that Russia doesn’t. So this will lead to uniform distribution of power and keep them sane and stable.

Great video, especially since you mentioned the gold backing gold and most likely bitcoin. This is the key. People should look into how good things worked in America when the dollar was backed by gold. The rich/poor gap was a million times better. This is extremely interesting.

As a South African, I know we have a very conservative and effective reserve bank and our exiting currency (Rand) is respected and relied upon throughout the SADC region. Our Rand is like the USD of the region. So I believe the SARB along with other Brics nations could pull it off.

South Africa is based on actual minerals, manufactured goods, food production etc. You can see the value it adds to the world with a naked eye.
Should the world economy crash, which country will be needed more? The countries that have beautiful fiat currencies and overvalued companies offering no physical benefit or a country that can provide most resources an person can think of and can put food on on the tables of it's residents and millions around the world.
The world needs South Africa big time and it knows it.
No country could have coped and even thrived as well as South Africa under sanctions. Our economy in figured may not look grand but you can see the value with your own eyes.
