- We are leaving Osaka, Japan after staying at my parent's place for 2 weeks. But before leaving, we had a family trip at Arima Onsen to experience one of the best onsen (hot spring) in Japan.
The next location we are visiting is Kanazawa which is a 2.5hr train ride from Osaka. Kanazawa is known for having one of the best fish and sushi in Japan. It was mind-blowing how delicious the fish were. And guess what? Even their local beef, Noto-ushi was amazing.

Visited Kanazawa in 2018, started driving from Osaka- Kyoto- Kanazawa- Toyama- Shirakawa- Hida- takayama- Gero onsen- then back to Singapore from Nagoya. Very memorable. Omi market is very nice for its seafood.

My last trip in late 2019 was to Toyama, Karuizawa, Kanazawa, Nagano..Miss that place..
fabulous video Ghib! i drove from kansai airport the day after i arrived, and stayed in Kanazawa in june 2018 but i only used it as a base to explore shirakawa-go and gokayama so we hardly walked around the city. we did go to Omicho market but it was after 6pm and all the stores were closed :( Hope to go there again someday.

I watched some of your videos, Mr. Ghib Ojisan, I found that the colors in your videos seems a little bit dark, it seems if the weather is sunny, but you don't see the blue sky's bright color has the best results, usually if you see the color is proper, you can feel the energy and give you a pleasant sense and make your mood better........ I am not a professional about this, just sort of my feelings, maybe because I pay more attention to the color of the blue sky. You did a great job and I like your videos.

I actually took Jetstar Japan from Osaka to Tokyo , actually shinkansen should be faster but expensive, was thinking of night bus but too long hours 😂
Took the night bus once a few years back . The experience was pretty ok just that I wish the seats were larger so they can better accommodate people who are longer 😂😂 .
Wifi on bus was also an issue as it was limited to 15min - 1 hour for each session and max of 3 session throughout the trip . That was the most precious thing i had to sparingly use on the bus trip 😆. Expect great scenic spots and I wish you have a good trip too

While Ghib is waxing poetically on the quality of the kaiten sushi, there is a sign just behind him telling people to eat silently (黙食). 🤭 My wife and I enjoyed our trip to Kanazawa and some hot springs nearby. There's plenty to enjoy in Kanazawa with the local seafood being one of those things.

私は、三年くらい住んでましたが、学生が多い町なので安くて多くてうまい店がたくさんあるんですよ
金沢と言えば、海鮮と言うことで、回転寿司にいったのは正解です
下手なの寿司屋行くより全然マシてす
郊外に出たら同じレベルで少し安いとこもあります
近江町市場は観光客も多いので、それなりの金額になっちゃうんです
魚屋は自分とこの店も仕入れていたので、懐かしい感じです
ただ、ぼったくり？ではないですが、生の甘エビなど試食させてくれるんです
でも、渡されるのは冷凍だったりします
味違いますよ
あと、百万石はひゃくまんごくと読みます
もし、また行くことがあれば、前述の通りお勧めしたい店が山ほどあるので、大食漢のジブおじさんでも3日はないと食べきれないですよ
シンガポールの視聴者も多い様なので、お勧め店を紹介しておきます
ホワイト餃子の第七餃子店・金沢カレーの代表チャンピオンカレー・ラーメンスープがどろどろのとんとん・片町のハントンライス・金沢おでんの美幸・私のシンガポール料理の師匠の店 龍龍亭ろんろんてい等々書ききれませんが、名店お勧めです
何件食べられるか楽しみです

上記に挙げたのも駅周辺ではなく、一昔前に夜の街だった片町にあります

｢ひゃくまんいし｣じゃなく｢ひゃくまんごく｣です。
加賀前田藩が加賀百万石の外様ながら大大名だったからです。
ノドグロは新潟から長崎まで幅広く有名です。
石川県なら河豚が水揚げ日本一ですし、川魚ですがゴリ(カジカ)が有名です。

Have you tried 大和寿司? they sell really fresh sushi too!

Surprised you gave so little coverage on Kenrokuen, a must when visiting Kanazawa, given its one of the top 3 gardens in Japan. Anyway, thanks for sharing the restaurants with us.

I assume most of the places Ghib goes to aren't exactly English-speaking friendly?
Can't speak for the specific hotels and restaurants he goes to, but Arima Onsen and Kanazawa are generally popular tourist spots to be foreigner-friendly overall.
Mori Mori sushi got English menu! The yakiniku place might be tricky but can use google lens to translate the menu😁
Japanese service staff are accustomed to foreigners pointing to pictures in the menu or to the plastic displays which Japan is famous for🙂
You should come to Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and try some of the best Japanese cuisines in top notch 5 Star hotels
is the sign at the sushi place saying "eat quietly".. 😁
If you think that is good, don't go to Otaru in Hokkaido. You'll be spoiled for sushi forever.
