For me the fortune would be perfet for a Polaris base building set where you can put a prospector and a Fortune in the hangar and base building cars in the cargo bay.
Nice video but for us old timers it was Airwolf, not "Skywolf" that the beginning clip was referencing. It's kitsche for the 80s but it's a decent show. Thanks for the video too!
Wasn't referencing, it was nearly a shot for shot remake of the airwolf opening. Saw another channel with side by side comparison. I am liking the ship though.
@@Power5 Gotcha. I mean it looks cool, but I haven't played the game and even as a StW fan I'm not going to get it. I might change my mind in the future but then again, I haven't seen Airwolf in years either.
100% agree with your perspective. Why do a prospector clone when they could have did a drake mining ship. Also the Starlancer is a mid size ship so why not a salvager instead of BLD which seemed like it was a last minute variation. Still ALOT more backlogged ships unrealized and a new list of upcoming ships....CIG is a wildcard that keeps you guessing
I'm glad the Guardian and Fortune weren't for sale. Presumably, they are focused on 4.0 and aren't flight ready. CIG putting more of a focus on a flight ready ship is a great idea. CIG probably got tired of people getting a Concept and saying "where's my ship?" The Galaxy fiasco probably helped lead us to this situation.
Yeh I agree! Since they have a pu and been advertizing a live playable environment they should totally get rid of concept sales. Buying things that dont exist and may not for years or even decades is really bad for the games rep. Its also illigal in countries under buyer protection acts to not deliver on time and a very un professional standard in any industry to just shrug at the question of when is a product going to be in a buyers hands. Its caused so much unnessary negative publicity on this project since its conception. Good work Rsi for not selling this one as a hollogram! I cant wait to see it... But I actually can. lol
Ship developers have nothing to do with 4.0 gameplay features. Ship seems to be done, not sure why they would not release at IAE unless it is because MISC already had the starlancers as their new ship. Can't have multiple ships available from a single MFG.
I don't know why you people expect that it's just as easy as snapping fingers and releasing me finished game?! You're so spoiled by triple-a's that never announced their projects until they're almost completed whereas this one has been an open development since day 1. I'd remember 4.0 will be out by January if this rate
Hey yo big buddy use the arrow keys to go frame to frame! Not putting you on the spot but it’s amazing how many RUclips people RUclips video reactors don’t know this. Anyways love the speculation thanks man
What if the MISC Fortune has 3x the Vulture’s hopper size and the box dispenser is accessible from the back exterior? I see this working in tandem with a larger ship like the MISC Odyssey. It goes out and scrapes RMC, then goes back to offload in the cargo bay of another ship. All of this is just speculation/theory crafting on my part, of course.
Agreed on wanting a bigger salvage ship, but it looks like we'll need to make our own salvage hubs for now. Take the Ironclad out for your salvage op then use this in the bay to salvage and throw everything you want in the bay. Munching isn't generally worth it but maybe a factor after crafting goes live.
In the video they hinted at 4.0 with the phat fury. Good point. We need a heavy fighter much more than another gunship. We only have two long range heavy fighters … the defender and warden.
@ A lot of streamers like Inforunners constantly advise that if you are going to pledge, pledge in multicrew ships. I do the opposite I only have a few multi crew ships and invest in solo able ships instead . I think we need high end solo able ships. I can only think of the 600i. It’s good to promote group play but the reality is most of peoples playing time will be solo. This is true with all MMOs. I played Warcraft and 80% of my play time was farming and getting ready for the big 40 person raids. Sometimes I would find a friend or two to farm with me but people have their own schedules . CIG needs to look at with all this immersion, it can take a lot more time for anything to actually happen in game. It usually takes me an hour to meetup and form a party of friends and actually reach my destination in Star Citizen assuming no one glitches out.
I played with a friend for 2 hours last night. Took us forever to get to a ship and out of New Babbage due to needing to server hop multiple times to find working elevators. When we finally got out of hangars in our ships, he crashed and had to respawn again. Finally got to do a single mission of phase 1 of the save stanton.
Personally this is what i think they should do, from teh Vulture s2 size ship they should go to a s3 or 4 size ship take the front canopy and move it forward and replace it with a bar claw we now know we don't need the tuning fork from the vulture with latest technology. have two floors top with retractable roof for detachable's. bottom floor for boxes, and have up to 4 scu boxes two high or so, both with floor grid size so that could be 96 scu top and bottom, or 124 top and bottom. and have a dedicated rail mount tracker beam. so on this rail it could eather go stern to bow or circle the ship to get at points to get detachable's to the top deck. so solo yes multi crew able yes i would say at least up to 5 ppl with pull down seets with copilate tractor operator box puller and nother puerson that isn't pulling boxes out to the other ship pulling coponets.
I'm intrigued by the size of the Fortune because it looks like it could fit in the Odyssey (the Vulture appears to be too long). That being said, without the aid of some kind of support ship it doesn't sound amazing on its own. They really need a medium salvage offering from ARGO, thet would fit in so well for their niche and probably give you exactly what you want.
@@ZyvhurStudios Happy RSI day! I had a chance to crew on a Polaris for a while and I hope you're enjoying yours. I really like the hangar/cargo elevators setup - maintaining whatever you are going to put in your hangar is going to be a breeze!
4:38 not sure how you get into this ship if it has an interior. Maybe that rear opens, but does not seem to. If it does not have an interior I am not buying. Looking for a ship to get from my inferno. The only heavy with interior is the vanguard series, and I do not like them at all. I have not flown one in a while though and I am curious if the nose guns on the vanguard are now gimbal since every other mount on every ship, except the Ares, has gimbal mounts. Does the vanguard still also have fixed guns, or do the nose s2 now gimbal? Either way, not sure why there are no other heavies with interior. I am hoping this has interior. If not, I am hoping that DRAKE makes a heavy fighter with interior. Only other option left would be Consolidated Outland to come out with one.
The fact that they said this will be a two person ship kinda makes me feel like it'll hold more than the Vulture. I could be wrong, but isn't it also supposed to have to salvage heads as well?
Hoping this is a decent ship you can fly solo with an interior that is competitive and would be good to make money on bounties and be able to just buy a cargo ship in game later on. I have a corsair and dislike the way they changed the guns no co pilot wants to shoot them and you lose access to the turret if they are.
$250 would put it right in line with the warden which can hold 2 people so in typical CIG fashion this will probably cost $300. The cost of materials has increased all over the world. It just costs more money today to manufacture space ships.
@ZyvhurStudios yeah but they could of at least gave us the Concept sale then give a release date of 4.0. That would of made everyone happy or at least show off the ship in game then a 4.0 release... but after watching the video some more it looks like the cockpit is attached to the interior shell like a 3/4 of a circle onto a rectangle. So the entrance would either have to be in the back via ramp or the cockpit could swivel down to a ladder. Cause the size comparison of the pilot to the ship is dramatic
@ZyvhurStudios yeah im thinking the back or like the warden. Put a bed in there and a place for 2 boxes and the components. Theres no reason for a body that big without a interior. Especially since the engines are outside. But 2 s5 guns they have to have a big reserve maybe 20 to 30 shots before overheat
