Excellent video Sir ek question hai Jaise ek word hai cost jo ki ek noun bhee hai aur verb bhee Iske wh question how many aur how much se shuru hone wale sentences kaise banayenge noun ke roop mein aur verb ke roop mein Please batayen
But sir what you told that noun phrase cannot contain a combination of subject and verb but what you told is containing both subject and a verb combination
Brother Ashish Ref: Post-modifiers You have given an example to explain the participle phrases and that reads as below: Look at the children covered in the mud. As far as I know, the verb (cover) takes the preposition (with) and not (in). Could you please clarify? Regards Hyderabad
That's a good question, Jaleel. We generally use 'with' with this verb. But the preposition in can also be used in a sense that something is in touch with something else, like a coating.
Thank you. Superb as usual.I have one question. You have mentioned gerund phrases as post modifier in NOUN PHRASE IN ENGLISH video and here you have used Participle phrases as post modifiers in noun phrase. Sir which one is right ?Please reply.
How I wish you could explain this in English. 😩😩😩 your teaching is excellent I can tell and see through your example. Do you have other videos of noun phrase that explaining in English thanks.
Thank you! Yes, it is available on the English channel. The link of the channel is in the description of the video. In the English video, I made a mistake of calling Present Participle phrases as Gerund phrases. Apologies for that in advance.
One of the few detailed and best compilations and explanations I have come across. Incredible work, fine examples and engaging end tasks have made my day. May God bless you! Looking forward to viewing more of your videos. 👌👌👌👌👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sir ,ye to samajh me aaya but when comparing it to adjective phrase, It's creating enormous confusion. Sir, please ek bar dono me farq bata dein na. The girl in the park is my sister. Kya in the park adjective phrase aur noun phrase dono hai. Please educate me. I really learnt so much watching you.
Noun phrases me adjective phrases ho sakti hai. Dusri cheez, noun phrase ek noun ki trah kaan krti hai, adjective ki trah nahi. Function dekha karo, Wahida. Usse clarity milegi. Baaki I'll make a seperate lesson on it.
Your example: The person in the black shirt is a teacher. You said, "It is a prepositional phrase.". It is okay. Can't it be an adjective phrase? The reason: it describes the person with some words. Similarly, it can be turned into an adjective phrase. E.g. The person who us in the black shirt is a teacher. In short, there is always an ambiguity/intricacy between a noun phrase and adjective phrase/clause.
'Adjective' is a functional name; it's not an identificational name. Many things can function as an adjective; a prepositional phrase is one of them. Prepositional phrases, infinitive phrases and participle phrases are phrases that are named on the basis of identification: what they start with. They are not functional name. They function as adjectives, nouns, and adverbs. Hope this helps! 🌸

It's present participle. That was a mistake. A gerund doesn't work as an adjective, a present participle can.

Dear
Is a single noun can be called noun phrase.kindly clarify.
No! If it's alone without a modifier, it's a noun, not a noun phrase.
"The clever child" ye phrase is pattern ko follow kar raha hai..??? isme sirf numbers nahi hai.
Determiners+numbers+adjectives+noun
It’s a noun phrase with a determiner, adjective, and noun
