    The soaked water should be discarded as it includes tannins or phytic acid.
    Remember to drain and refill the water when soaking beans and lentils. Ref-filling with fresh water twice during the soaking time helps to lessen gas and bloating.
    Finally, drain the lentils, rinse it with fresh cold water before the cooking process.

    Actually u can try like this if u r interested ….soak soya beans and Urad dhal equal portion and grind it nicely . Boil yellow dhal [payatham paruppu ] with less water and keep aside. Keep ready nicely chopped onion , g.chilly, coriander leaves . Now to make thin dosa [eggless omelet 😳] pour the batter into a dosa pan [a small size dosa with moderate thin layer ] and in the middle add this boiled yellow colour dhal a small portion make it flatten, now sprinkle onion masala mix on the top and then take a chittigai pepper powder and salt pour it on the top close the lit for few mnts , it is ready.
    if you use non stick no need any oil but for other pan , use little ghee or olive oil to give a nice texture for the taste. Pl try it and give your experience if you are interested. It will look like exactly omelet and the texture also close to that. Try

    Variation of our adai is chilla....eggless omelette is done with besan flour ...anyways whatever u may call it ...its a healthy tasty recipe...

    I don't understand why you are calling it omelette. It is indeed chilla or a variation of adai or call it lentil pancake. You have misled the audience by giving a wrong title!

    Ghee contains high concentrations of monounsaturated Omega-3s. These healthful fatty acids support a healthy heart and cardiovascular system. It is called "anna suthi" (cleanses your digestive system) and our ancestors took it daily. 1 to 2 spoons a day is considered healthy.

    Nice recipe. Janhvi has to learn more about calories. Lentils have the same amount of calories as grains if not more. They have more protein though. But the protein is definitely not equivalent to 3 eggs, especially the quality of it. One cheela is surely more than 200 calories and Ramya knows it😀. Instead of calling it vegetarian omlette let's just call it protein high recipe for vegetarians.

    Also wants to give you a good tip that soya beans is high protein we all know , for idli dosa batter I use equal portion Urad dhal with soya beans , no change in taste , you get a very good idli and dosa , also same for making vadai . Pl try and give me your thoughts and experience in tasting it . For adai or pesarate same idea to use soya beans , pl try

    Dont forget that lentils also have carbs … not just rice but even pulses have it… so it’s double carbs when you eat rice and dal…

    Actually, Green Moong Dal, Cheela/Dosa, with different fillings is being made and eaten, by, me, for 7 years. Saw it in, youtube, of a lady from out of, India.

    Hi, thanks for sharing awesome looking recipe but i think sprouted mung beans are more healthier than moong , puzhu beans (turkish beans) and Black chana sprouts you can add jowar flour along with anyone of the beans sprouts it'll be more healthier.👌💓🌹

      There is no way that pancake is 200 calories. Looks yummy and healthy but it’s rich. It’s important to be accurate with calories so people are not mislead. If that’s not possible I’d shy away from mentioning calories. Good and easy to follow recipe. Keep it up!
