I’ve burned the cape with my relatives. I’m not a modern-day Mammy. I won’t accept drama or dysfunction. They made several attempts to guilt-trip me and I still remain consistent. Call me the Statue of Liberty because I’m standing on business. 🤣🗽

I agree. The black men in my family I love them, but moved away from them and I do not live anywhere near a black community. I date out and don't care about black men. I do not have any black female friends who date or are married to black men either. Like many black ladies, I will soon be moving overseas to start a new life for myself, and I will never look back or come back. 🚶🏽‍♀️🧳🌏✈️

Sorry for coming back with a second comment, but I meant to include this in my original comment: Ladies, please explore hobbies and positive habits. It’s great to have other things to be excited or passionate about that are not related to race, race relations, colorism, etc. Today, I ran 10 miles in prep for the first half marathon I’m running in two weeks. I practice my guitar on Sundays, and my daughter and I have started painting together. Getting to know yourself and your likes/dislikes, talents, and aspirations is fun, and something we miss out on when we get trapped in the struggle cycle.

I take pole fitness, aerial silks, and lyra classes once a week. Have been doing so for almost 3 years and I am getting gooodddd lol. I am also a plant mom and have gotten into rehabing plants to enhance my skills. Having your own hobbies that you do on a regular basis fills your schedule and you heart for sure. I have to MAKE time to date and socialize because I have not made those things a necessity in my daily schedule.

Chrissie couldn't change the world on her own, but she did change many lives. Acceptance is necessary but don't ever underestimate your impact Chrissie you raised me. If I didn't find you at 19, I would still been chasing black male approval. I'd still live vicariously through the Kardashians. I'd still deny hating my hair texture amongst so many other things. I'm about to finish Law school and I want to live a life full of peace and happiness. Chrissie also your intelligence and your strength as a dark skinned girl. You don't usually come across such a self assured representation of a black woman. You taught me I could be that way ❤

Facts...I remember carrying so much emotional weight as a teenager and I would vent to people who just thought I was carrying the world on my back. Finding like-minded Black women spaces like Chrissie's channel, was the best thing that ever happened to me. The wealth of knowledge and advice received, I would PAY just to ensure that all the other little Black girls have it. I have well rounded understanding of this world so hardly anything shakes my core now. From a caterpillar to a butterfly, I have gradually reached to a point where I focus on me and my happiness . Chrissie is 100% correct. Black women listen up. Summer is quickly approaching and in addition to burning the cape is taking this summer to get your mind right, your money right, your US passport, and your body right. If you live in a black community, then you need to do everything in your power to MOVE OUT and find yourself a nice place in a NON BLACK neighborhood so you can have some peace and safety. Change your environment and you will see how much better you will feel. If you can travel then do it. Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and start dating out and experience the beautiful diversity of men.

You spoke nothing, but facts. I recently moved to my first luxury apartment. Girl! I feel CHEATED! Y'all never told me it was this good.
Outside of the obvious benefits (animities, cleanliness, interior design), it's the energy. It's so much more peaceful and calm. My stress level has gone down by a noticeable amount. The people are so much nicer and more civil. Especially men. For example, the only time I ever open the front door is when I'm not around a man. If there is a man, 100% of the time, he opens the door for me. It doesn't matter if they have their hands full. They rather put the stuff on the ground, just to open the door for me. It's little things like that, that make a huge difference in the quality of my life.

There are so many other races of nonblack men who are great guys and would make great boyfriends husbands and fathers for black women. This video is 100% exactly what I needed to hear right now. I listened to this video in the car driving home in the rain. A rainbow actually appeared in the sky. I took this as confirmation that this was a much-needed message for me.
I have been pondering on this very topic for about two years. I was heavy into the divestment information and groups from around 2015 until maybe 2021 or 2022. I was always reading, discussing, debating, in Facebook groups, on live calls, trying to educate friends, etc. At some point, I realized a lot of people weren’t using this information to level up, but to sit around and share sad sob stories, or to discuss openly and loudly to get attention and attempt to make BM jealous or upset. I noticed many weren’t using the information to actually level up. I saw people still making the same dumb mistakes or living the same lives as they were before they were “divested”.
I also started to notice the efforts to keep BW perpetually riled up. Not only from big corporations or content creators, but even from friends. Always sharing articles, memes or reposting status updates about something crazy a dusty said or did. Trying to keep people constantly outraged and emotional. I had some personal friends do this, especially when they sensed me pulling away and not entertaining that stuff anymore.
I left social media and cut ties with several people about two years ago. I’m done with the foolery and nonsense. I’m trying to be more intentional about the images and messages I let in from now on. I don’t even consume much divested content anymore. I feel like I’ve learned the lessons, now it’s time to put them in action. I want to actually spend time *being* divested instead of talking about divestment.
I’m about to re-listen to this and take extensive notes.

Ladies a real life example of this is I have a friend who was heavy into the decentering men content on tiktok. I mean the extremist aspect of decentering men. Not all, but most of her conversations with me were about men being awful. I decided to put some distance between she and I because I did not want that energy to impact my spirit. I actually don’t have any social media except RUclips currently as a means of detoxing from it all. Men are not perfect and are very different from women. They indeed come with their challenges. We all know that, however I have a great partner. This same friend is now dating and admitted to me that she actually wants what I have with my partner in her own life. Even when she was claiming to decenter men, her thoughts were mostly on men just from a negative vantage point. The same is true now but now with the desire to partner. Some of these women aren’t ever truly decentering men either way. My point is this: Chrissie’s video is basically saying not to tether yourself to any online ideologies or people for that matter because we don’t know what’s TRULY in anyone’s heart or their CURRENT purpose for a a particular belief system. What if I had adopted my friend’s outlook and ruined my relationship because influence is subtle. Be discerning ladies. Great video Chrissie!

All Facts! I’ve been commenting on BWE channels that BW should to practice “Indifference” for years! So glad to hear it here. It really is the only way for us. Center ourselves above everyone else.

I don't think it's necessary for BW to be part of a movement to level up. What we need to do as individuals is to make better decisions for ourselves. Ladies, please stop worrying about who BM are dating. I've learned a lot from this channel, and I like the fact that Chrissie's content is evolving instead of being stuck on the same topics like some other platforms. I had to sadly accept that some of my BW friends are still mentally stuck and don't want to move forward.

Congratulations to all of the BW, particularly the ones here who are young enough to start families. I just turned 55 and I won’t be giving birth to any more children but the idea that so many of you are working so hard on yourselves makes me so proud. Good luck and God Bless all of you in your endeavors. 😀

Chrissie’s channel is one of the best level-up channels for Black women regardless of shade. She’s the only one with any real strategy. I’ve stopped trying to convert other BW into divestors. I’m more focused on myself and I'm no longer trying to save this "community." I have too many friends who are BM worshipers and it’s exhausting. All my friends who exclusively date BM are sleeping with the same ones or going through drama. My new strategy is to try and make friends with international people of all races and hang out with a more intelligent group of people. Once you step outside the Black community, you’ll clearly see its lack of intellect and morals compared to other groups.

I think that BW as a collective need to accept that the community is a lost cause. We should get the education and training we need to make better money so we can move out of the "hoods" to safer areas. We need to stop being SJWs for everyone else and put our well being 1st. We should concentrate on health and fitness and leave toxic people (including family members) behind.

My interactions with most black men just haven’t been good. I have an older cousin who’s like a brother and is a wonderful man. My two best friends I’ve known since high school are good people. That’s about it. The men in my family are abusive, users, and self centered. The black men who approach me in real life want something from me. Sometimes it’s money or resources they should be earning on their own. They’ll try to holla even though I’m married and clearly wearing my ring. They don’t respect me or any other women. I’m not dealing with that anymore.

But then I see a good number of women say it's 2024 and we don't care; and THAT makes me super happy :)

I made my point and I don't need to deal with the Black Community's backwards way of thinking. Other black women are starting to get the message as well. I see more and more black women like me, happy and dating men regardless of race. Black women are starting to wake up. We can't save everybody but a change is happening.

I’ve been slowly burning it with family. I just learned that in my family after 25 is old. Now some men think this way but to hear BW deadass equate 25, 33, 35, and beyond equivalent to 55+ is diabolical. Like my aunties really want you to dig down because you’re too old for this and that. Seeing 20s-30s BW concede to it in my family is deathly. I suggested something different instead of a tired ass dinner where we consistently ask each other how the food is. They fell out-it’s not like I suggested a club, bar, or lounge. Yet somehow the options are only a club if you’re under 24 and a restaurant if you beyond 30. Time to leave the nest frfr.

Girl, Chrissie, you did your part, its okay to bow out gracefully from conversations that you just simply out grew, you are human!
I am thankful for your channel, you were the only source of validation for my pain and racial and community trauma, you healed me and made a difference in my life forever and now i am confident enough to go towards my own purpose which is also content creation.
Just know you impacted the people God intended for you to impact. And all the people stuck on stupid dont matter. Its part of the journey to shift focus on other things/ topics/ people that need your help.
Part of my detachment as you spoke of in the beginning was to stop watching your videos once i was able to accept the reality of what things are. We are black women but before the social labels we are just souls on a journey to inner peace and happiness.
Thank you Chrissie for healing parts of me a therapist never could, i’ll always be grateful for you. 🥹❤

Your video is resonating with me because after hearing so drama that has been going on in these RUclips spaces. I decided that today, I will be listening to high-vibrational videos. As you said, we have to concentrate on what is our reality. Trying to go along with what is trending or going along with movements will eventually destroy anyone's peace of mind. The most simple thing to do is remove yourself from toxic environments and people; and most definitely the black community. I am concentrating on getting my finances and credit right. I have my retirement to look forward to in a few years; I don't have time for toxicity.

This is amazing change is just part of growth . Another thing dsbw can do is interact with higher class women from other cultures who do not have blk men or mxd people around them it teaches you how to UNDERSTAND social structures. We are the only people in the ‘blk community’ they under-educate when it come social stratification which is easy for them since this is something we tend to be uncomfortable with but avoiding those environments stunts your growth and makes you soo vulnerable and easy to use…
