    Kilimani is located approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Nairobi's central business district, within Westlands Sub-county. You cannot compare Kilimani with pipeline through any reasonable ideas, Kilimani is a high density residential area and most of the apartments are well planned with amenities such as children playing areas, parking spaces, swimming pools, gymnasium, security boundary CCTV etc. 😅

      Yea but they were recently complaining. The new developments have put a lot of pressure on amenities and utilities. The roads are narrow and colonial they have to buy some days...

    The problem with Nairobi is that it is the dirtiest city. Vumbi kila mahali. Real estate wanajenga nyuma alafu wanaacha uchafu nje ya ploti. Govt. on the other side wanajenga barabara bila sidewalks. So basically Nairobi still needs benchmarking ju ile tamaa mnakuanga nayo makes you overprice everything and leave your projects incomplete.

      what they did after expressway. They left heap of soil around the area. Looks ugly. Kenya is a funny country, roads are built for cars only, no sidewalks, no pavements around buildings and estates. I once lived in Kasarani, man, the open trenches, stagnant water in them, sewage like, bare earth all over, dust and mud depending on the season. Kenya is a country where a nice apartment with expensive rent is in the middle of a dirt road without side walks or clean environment. I will never buy a house in Nairobi, let me save my money invest in my village town, build myself a house, dig a borehole, install solar power and live in peace. Nairobi is an over rated, overpriced slum. With all these development, are they doing anything on water demand and supply? Kenya urban roads are not even following up with side walks and feeder roads.

      True which begs the question is it like of exposure or is it just negligence ama ni kukosa pesa, coz if an area with a large residential buildings density is not paved you expect dust everywhere including on roads, Nairobi still use pole electric lines in this era, why can this city match with current developments??

      @@francismungai9234 You are responding to a comment whose content you have not grasped. The blogger said that Kilimani high rise flats are just like Pipeline high rise flats except that Kilimani high rise flats have lifts whereas Pipeline high rise flats don't have lift. And that is a perfectly correct statement because Pipeline high rise flats don't have lifts.

      @@fredrickogutu8988 The blogger stated that there are jokes doing rounds that Kilimani high rise flats are just like Pipeline flats except that are Kilimani flats have lifts whereas Pipeline flats don't have lifts. It is a fact that Pipeline high rise flats dont have lifts which is a breach of city bye-laws and national building code.

    I dont understand ... like if someoe has the funds to buy an apartment in killimani he/she can buy a house somewhere else go to westlands or south c or lavington. this is not a problem its a middle income house demand being experienced in the whole world and it should be a positive

    It's not uncontrolled development per se. Kilimani was categorized as a high-density residential area a long time ago.
    But the county government is lagging behind in providing sufficient sewer lines, water lines, land scapping, drainages, garbage collection, pedestrian walkways, street lights, timely road repairs etc. We have more cities in Japan, China Tokyo, The Philippines, Singapore, and South Korea that are more congested than Kilimani, but are more organized.

  • @georgehosea139
    @georgehosea139 6 месяцев назад

    Nairobi county Government has to take responsibility to ensure that road are paved, potholes sealed, garbage collected regularly, ensure all residents of the city have Clean drinking water, and the old sewage pipelines must be expanded to accommodate a bigger population all over the city, over to you Governor Sakaja. 😅

    Shida si developers ni gava. They are lagging behind in putting up infrastructure. As for ventilation, developers know better. Clients are unlikely to buy/rent units with poor ventilation. They're doing it at their own risk

      The point is county govt should work on infrastructure, roads, pavements, water & sanitation traffic control etc imagine a posh area without roads/narrow dusty for example
