Actually, that's pretty interesting. If used correctly, it could be capable of clearing a minefield. With the siege mode, it can burrow the front armor into the ground and then raise it up after moving forwards about 1 to 3 feet, and then lifting the front to clean out any mines.

One of the few tanks, sure, but I'd say the vast majority of vehicles can be driven and operated by a minimum crew of one person. That's nearly every every bicycle, scooter, sled, motorcycle, car, truck, airplane and helicopter, to name a few.

But almost no tank fire that fast like the s tank. It was also one of the first with laser range finder. It had many good inventions that people don’t know of. A few thoughts on this tank. Given the improvement of current engine designs and the need for high mobility armor. 1) Ukraine would make these a total asset on the battlefield! 2) New design incorporating electric hybrid drive systems!? 3) Adding the capability of smart munitions with drone support.
They wouldn't be much good for offensive operations in their original forms. If they had to be modified extensively to improve their usefulness, the same amount of money could be spent more effectively on tanks with turrets.

Was the hull mounted twin machine gun setup able to aim separately from the hull? I know the AA machine gun was able to since it was on a turret, but I haven't seen any resources detailing what the hull mounted machine gun was capable of.

Tier 9 td the Strv 103 got no fence but the tier 10 td the Strv B got the fence. And the fence is there mostly to break down heat shells rather then HE. he will stil explode and deal a good amount of dmg even if it hits the fence in the game.
The strv 103’s engine and transmission can be easily taken out by a well placed HEAT and HESH but it is basically invulnerable to AP, and APCR from the front No crew should no be hurt or taken out due to a 30mm thick plate between the engine compartment and the crew compartment. The gunner,driver and commander would not matter due to the fact that every crew has a duplicate control for every crew if the gunner was taken out, the commander or the driver can take over so If the driver was hurt or the gunner is hurt, the tank’s overall performance will not decrease unless both crew is hurt, even then the commander can overdrive the controls and drive and shoot by him self

Fact. A tank needs a stable suspension for accurate shooting and most modern tanks have active suspensions used in laying the gun. 2. If you need a stable and active suspension to assist gun laying? Eliminate the turret part. An elegant and inspired decision.
One component of an effective defense (which is what this tank is tailor made for) is a counter attack. I don’t know how you could counter attack with a battalion of these tanks. There’s a reasons why most tanks have turrets and similar designs. Not to mention it looks like a maintenance nightmare. I get why it was built but I also get why nobody makes tanks like this.
Put an auto loading gun with video sights on top of a low profile passenger compartment with no connection to the gun. The gun would rotate so you can drive and shoot at the same tome of course, I don't see the point of the target on top of the tank being connected to the passenger compartment.

Not really, only everything with a calibre of 121 mm or more can pen it. That is all the mediums excluded, heavys tanks from france and america. So the only ones able to fight it will be the Germans, Russians and japanese/chinese. So, you can conclude, it is very op for all guns smaller than 121 mm but prey for all guns 121+
if they bring in the overmatch mecanic, allot of other tanks will become way more OP. they need to find an alternative way to boost the effectiveness of the swede armor. wont happen this patch but they will do it next patch, they didnt give up on the idea to make swede armor relative, they just rejected the idea of the overmatch change would FUCK things up for the rest of the game.. the already "op" russian tanks would be unkillable from the front.. gl penning the is3 and is4 turret top., not to mention the obj 140.

It does not have a turret that can be rotated 360 degrees ( it has no turret at all :P ) and therefore it is not a tank. But in Sweden we call it a "tank" due to we have other criteria.

You aim the twin mg's just as you aim the gun, following the tracers. The commanders remote controlled mg has full 360 coverage.

well argentine TAM tank can go up to 72 kph in reverse... so strv is not the only one that goes fast backwards

Artilery vehicles should have "siege mode" too. So many of them can only fire if they are deployed, if WG is aiming to be realistic.

Not really, only everything with a calibre of 121 mm or more can pen it. That is all the mediums excluded, heavys tanks from france and america.
So the only ones able to fight it will be the Germans, Russians and japanese/chinese.
So, you can conclude, it is very op for all guns smaller than 121 mm but prey for all guns 121+

if they bring in the overmatch mecanic, allot of other tanks will become way more OP. they need to find an alternative way to boost the effectiveness of the swede armor. wont happen this patch but they will do it next patch, they didnt give up on the idea to make swede armor relative, they just rejected the idea of the overmatch change would FUCK things up for the rest of the game.. the already "op" russian tanks would be unkillable from the front.. gl penning the is3 and is4 turret top., not to mention the obj 140.

well what is a role of a main battle tank?... for me it sounds like being decent in every area. a tank that can work in attack and defence... sounds understandable but i have a hard time see it that way on this tank... strv 103 is an ambush tank pritty much same role as the tank destroyers had durring the ww2 thats why i see it as a td

It does not have a turret that can be rotated 360 degrees ( it has no turret at all :P ) and therefore it is not a tank. But in Sweden we call it a "tank" due to we have other criteria.

well, modern APFSDS can pen an armor with angle over 75 degree plus
