Helen I love your haul especially those buttons and what a fun time you have had at your shows and meeting with your sewing friends. I must say I love the buzz you get from a whole exhibition centre filled with sewing goodness and then the brilliant small business owners who fill our shelves with even more fabric 😂 I love buying from my local store Craftswoman Fabrics as I used to work there and it's lovely to go back and chat with everyone. I have so many ideas at the minute but top of the list is The Saltwater Slip dress as I am going to Corfu at Easter and want a new dress or two. I look forward to seeing what you make xx
So many beautiful fabrics! Those blues are gorgeous and I really enjoyed that cardinal fabric!!!! Looking forward to hearing about your quilted jacket!!
So many beautiful fabrics. Love that you can interchange the tops and bottoms. Hope you get lots of sewing time in because I can't wait to see what you end up making. Happy sewing!
A bit late - sorry! But I highly recommend the Lyric dress by love notions. I've made three (plus the peplum version) and have more planned. There are lots of options on the pattern to ring the changes. I spent a bit of time getting the fit right and it's now a favourite. Gorgeous fabrics!!!
All your fabrics are gorgeous! I'm not surprised you couldn't resist that soft fabric for your Billie 😍. You better get sewing now lol. The fabric I bought from your destash I'm going to make the soi vintage shirt dress. I haven't made it before so can't give you a review, but maybe a contender? Xx
Thanks Cara, I have to say I am so incredibly grateful to the whole sewing community for the friendships I have made and the weekend with 4 amazing ladies was just so wonderful, but I am also sad that so many, like yourself, that I would love to meet up with are just spread too far and wide to logistically be able to 😞 Hopefully one day we can meet up🤞🏻❤️
I love a good fabric haul, I just wish that this one was mine!! I’m a sucker for buying jerseys too, but I also like viscose. Most of your choices I would have gladly popped into my basket. I’m looking forward to seeing your makes from these.
Thank you for sharing all this information, its so helpful. I love the buttons you mentioned, just bought some and some labels too, off to investigate the fabrics now. your fabrics are devine x
I’ve just made the Style Arc Armidale shirt dress as recommended by @AlexJudgeSews and I love it. I’ve made it in a lovely deadstock viscose from Sew Me Sunshine and have some really cool cotton from Rainbow Fabrics washed and ready to go for the next one. I’m not really a dress wearer by this has changed my mind! Apparently, I enjoy a swishy skirt 😂 I’ll try an pop a pic in tomorrow.
Hello, if you mean for the patchwork jacket that I mention, it is the Great British Sewing Bee’s book - Modern Wardrobe from the last series 😊 Thanks for watching
"I buy quicker than I sew" I love that quote 😂

OMG the fabric from Becky is fabulous 😍
Isn’t it? I was quite happy to break my ‘no fabric’ plan for it 🥰
