Fabulous Friday sews Helen, I love all your plans and can’t wait to see your Marnie, I love wearing mine. Thank you so much for the gorgeous viscose from your destash, it is beautiful and I can’t wait to get it sewn up. Have a lovely rest of the weekend and happy sewing 🧵 ❤
You did make me chuckle & thought "Yeah... Where's my cuppa??" when you commented on addinging things to destash parcels!! 😆☕ I love all your fabrics & plans, the Marnie isn't a pattern for me, but it will look lovely in that leafy DG &I think the green will really suit you. Nothing negative for the Marnie at all, it's just not the right shape for me -I'll deffo be keeping an eye on your destash account, esp. when you spend my cash on more gorgeous fabrics lol xx
The Marnie will be lovely in the white one. I have just made another one out of double gauze. I am similar measurements to you, i sized down to a 4 because it comes up so big, I did no pin tucks or shoulder ruffle, but did the neck ruffle, I got this out of 2 metres xx
Thanks for the tip Bec, I have got some white with gold dots double gauze as well which I may use for side panels if I don’t have enough of the main dog with green leaves. I was debating what size so really appreciate your advice and thanks for watching 😊❤️
Some gorgeous fabrics. A lot of interesting plans, I can't wait to see all your new garments. I'm being really good even though I love the cat fabric. (I wonder how long I will last lol 😆) Thank you for sharing your vlog
I wonder if you could run a bit of very lightweight elastic inside the neckband of your batwing top? Something like shirring elastic thread or a lightweight clear elastic. You may not have to open up the seam. Put a length of shirring elastic on a larger needle and poke the eye end of the needle through the seam and feed it around. Tie a secure knot and work it in through the seam if you can. Worth a try. If it doesn’t suit you then you can deconstruct the band.
Haya. Great plans 🤩You made me go & purrrrrr-chase that kitty fabric, oooooops 😺😺Thanku 'sew' much for sharing 🪡✂🧵🙂xx

Love the fabrics but as you can imagine I really love the cats fabric ❤ xxx
Aww that cat fabric from Minerva is soooo cute! Been trying to resist that for ages 😂
Lol, it is pretty fabulous, you’re doing better than I would in resisting it 😉
Thanks for watching hun xx
You’ve made some great plans…..I can’t wait to see your results, especially the Marnie.

I love the random pick idea, and a fun way to create
Ooo your Marnie will look lush in those fabrics ❤. I made one in Double Gauze and was able to make the top without ruffles/pin tucks from 2m.
Love your nails!
Thank you, my nail technician is so good and always up for any suggestions, including this gorgeous ombré effect 🥰

Minikrea is a danish brand. They started out making kids patterns. :-)

Ooh what a good idea, thank you! I’ll definitely try that first 😊❤️
