I moved to mirrorless a few years ago but even in 2024, the pure expierence of photography that DLSR give you is still unmatched. I hope they never die.
@@raduszilagyi6055 correct. I am purely a photographer, not a videographer. Therefore, even 5D Classic suits my needs fine. So, I retain these two gems for good.
The additional focus points on the 5D III are welcome though. 200€ more and you get a much better pro camera. The Mark IV is still insanely expensive even more than the EOS R.
I switched to Sony a few years ago after selling my 5div but couldn't bring myself to sell the 5dii. It is the camera that really changed my life as a photographer.
Yes you're right day by day cameras are getting smaller and more powerful especially for video with 4k and 8k now but Im still holding onto my 5d2 as with a decent lens it can still keep up with most of the new gear photograph-wise... Legendary cam... Good review : )
He's pressing the shutter on bulb mode, this way, mirror will be locked upwards, exposing the sensor as long as it keep pressed. Other way to do that is activating the manual sensor cleaning on menu.
13:36 "If you're ready to give up comfort for a great result." That one line is worth the price of admission. Now you've got me second-guessing my entire kit! The 5D series is in a class by itself, tho, arguably the best sensors ever made.
How did Hollywood and other film industries manage to make such good movies with it like Iron Man II, or even some shots if it wasn't good enough for movies? Hollywood and the BBC for instance that can afford to purchase the most expensive cameras have used this camera for many important projects. How did they manage with the "limited focusing capabilities"? It doesn't make much sens, no matter what videos your record you will always make use of post production.
PLEASE advice me .(Photo mode) 1.OVF or Back screen that you really like to used. 2.How about your AF setting which one is best for you? I need to know how to Best setup for quick focus when I shooting for baby.(I used Younguan 50mm.F1.5)
Search up the different types of AF focusing modes and also you wanna use 1/200+ shutter speed for little kids because they move a lot quicker and randomly from adults
It has absolutely nothing to do with being weak or strong, young or old. If weight wouldn't matter, there wouldn't be a whole trend of making cameras lighter in weight. All companies from Canon to Sony, Panasonic and so on, are trying to make cameras less heavy and they don't do that for young weak people, but they do that because carrying a heavy camera when not necessarily, it's completely useless. Carrying a big heavy camera shouldn't make a photographer to feel stronger or better. Such cameras were large and heavy because technology couldn't achieve such performance in a smaller, lighter body
1080p today looks only good on my iPhone. On my iMac 🖥️ the videos out of my Canon DSLR cameras look very soft and unusable. Switching my EOS RP to 4K is like an eye opening experience 😮

The job of a camera is to take photos. In that area, Canon 5DII is unbeatable even today.
I wouldn't say unbeatable. But it's still absolutely fantastic

@@raduszilagyi6055 Nothing comes close to the image quality of the 5D series, Canon put some kind of mojo in those sensors.
The 6d is the same thing

Good Review. Thank you 👍
Just scored one with fewer than 100 shutter actions and spotless, new old stock. Can’t believe my luck!
Great
5:36 How do you showing the sensor like that? I see just a mirror

excellent information and review.
as an aside, i actually prefer the large size and weight of this camera.

Loved my 5DMII back in the day, but compared to what's available today it's just too beefy.
Superb

You're talking about Canon 5D Mark II or about D-SLR in general?
