The acceleration on the r6 is beautiful, also I love that little sound the bike was making in the beginning of the vid everytime you were gonna take a curve after a long straight
It's sad to see that you have to defend yourself when it should be obvious that you're not gonna go balls to the wall here. Honestly though, who cares if you get passed you're not Rossi.

If I’m on my race bike and it’s a controlled skill set or a free practice at a race, I will push much much harder. I have a clip of me on IG riding my race bike on the same track! Watch for the difference (about 10 seconds faster)
Still....just having fun but still hanging with some big boys says a lot towards YOUR SKILL and how well of a job Aprilia have done with this sweet little baby biscotti!!!!!

I disagree, this is how the bike rides under almost perfect conditions, which you will never get on a public road. No cars or pedestrians, nothing coming the other way, no potholes or white lines, no changing surfaces, no dogs running out of driveways, no cops. It gives you some idea of how potentially quick the bike is, but you would be hard pushed to be able to ride like that anywhere except on a track. This video was 75% rider skill and track knowledge, 25% bike.

This looks like so much fun! I recently (6 months ago) got a cruiser as my first bike, and I’m loving it, but I can see myself getting a track bike at some point just to be able to ride at high speed in a safe(ish) environment.
Was out on my R660 this morning, I so need to fix the back suspension.. it s like sitting on a bouncy ball 🤣 easy fix though. So in love whith my little blurple/lava puddy!
You should just have a dedicated series of raw track day rides. I dont know what turn it is. Its a left to a down hill right to a long right turn up a hill. Its beautiful and I wait for you to nail it every time. Soon Yammi you will rock that turn and nock a quarter second off your time.

I was just watching an Isle of Man TT video the other day that said they run 6laps road for the race! Im watching you ride here and it looks like it would be mentally stressful (and physically im sure). I cannot even fathom the mental and physical endurance those IoM guys have...just nuts. Looks hella fun tho :D
Would love to see a stock vs stock comparison of the 660 vs a current Gen Zx6 for track use. They cost about the same and I would love to know which performs best on track?

It’s a sock for the brake fluid reservoir. Sometimes with heavy use on track the brake fluid can heat up and leak from container, hence the sock to absorb any leak. (It is nasty corrosive stufff)
How's the powerband out on track? I feel like the brochure says 'power down low for street riding!", doesn't that mean its a bit uninspiring on track, where you live at the top of the rev range?

@@HormigaZ it’s a gorgeous bike- It looks amazing. Congrats on the Italian level up!!!!! The positive; It felt light and nibble. The torque delivery is also pretty good. The negative; Not enough power all around. It feels like the bike dies a bit after 5k and slightly picks up at 7k. Still I think the bike is fun and blows out every 600 on looks. Especially my Japanese 600 it can’t compare to the electronics or looks the m RS660. Peace
@@irondiet6831 honestly that's a fair criticism. Power is that kind of thing that while not needed you always feel it when it decreases coming from say the typical 120hp-130hp of the class.
Looks like the RS660 you riding is keeping up with the R6 Sir. I used to run a 2008 R6 so I know how fast they are. Give me the RS660 any day cos it's an awesome middle weight contender. I'm greedy cos I now run a RSV4 Factory, and that is fooking fast as I'm sure you Mr Yammie Noob know 👍🏻
