This view of GOD is so sad and dark. A GOD who makes a paradise and when he know his creation would enjoy it, he makes it almost impossible to achieve. Then he creates a hell and when he is told people would stay away from it he makes it attractive? Doesn't that sound like the actions of the Devil? Tricking the people to desire the evil and difficulty in getting to good? Wouldn't GOD want more people to make it to Heaven? Wouldn't he want to make it easy for people to be and do good? SMH. I don't understand how anyone buys this
T Mitch what about when your parent told you to Do Not do or go or don't eat this and that most of them is attractive. for example eating candy, sweet right? but it will finish your teeth.
Allah tells you what will lead you to paradise and what will lead you to Hell.....the individual chooses the path he/she wants to take. Allah says leave off fornication, leave off backbitting, and other sin (which people THINK will bring them happiness) that will lead you to the hellfire. Worshipping Allah and doing good deeds like giving charity, feeding the poor and seeking correct beneficial knowledge and implementing that knowledge (which brings true happiness) leads you to Paradise. Allah wants good for His creation, the creation has to want good for their selves
As opposed to what view? I know you didn’t say in your comment that you believe in the Bible, but one could, for the sake of argument, argue that these verses from the Bible are “dark”:
1 Samuel 15:3
Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.'"
Deuteronomy 13:6-11

Deuteronomy 13:13-18
If you hear it said about one of the towns the Lord your God is giving you to live in 13that troublemakers have arisen among you and have led the people of their town astray, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods you have not known), 14then you must inquire, probe and investigate it thoroughly. And if it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done among you, 15you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. You must destroy it completely,a both its people and its livestock. 16You are to gather all the plunder of the town into the middle of the public square and completely burn the town and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. That town is to remain a ruin forever, never to be rebuilt, 17and none of the condemned thingsb are to be found in your hands. Then the Lord will turn from his fierce anger, will show you mercy, and will have compassion on you. He will increase your numbers, as he promised on oath to your ancestors- 18because you obey the Lord your God by keeping all his commands that I am giving you today and doing what is right in his eyes.
In Islam, things are simple. Worship One True God and follow what was given by way of the Quran and the Prophetic example known as the Sunnah of Muhammad pbuh. It is pretty clear and concise. Those who oppose this order, don’t get the reward. If your boss at your job gives you a list of duties to fulfill, and you neglect to do any of them, do you think you will remain on the payroll anyway? Certainly not. Now, if the Creator of all that exists gives you an instruction manual of life to follow, wouldn’t you just want to follow it? God made it easy for us. How hard is it really to worship One God. Follow his messenger pbuh. Be good and dutiful towards your parents. Be kind to neighbors. Treat your spouse well. Treat your children well. Spend on the needy and orphans. Etc. It’s easy. People leave this and get sucked into wordy matters like buying new cars, not caring about the needy, buying bigger homes. Cheating on spouses. Sexual promiscuity. Children out of wedlock. Worshipping humans. Copying everything celebrities do, etc.
Please try not to pass judgement about Islam based upon this one video alone, because you may in fact not understand the totality of what is spoken about. May Allah bless and guide you.
