"In a collapsed doll factory, three people live in a world where colours have disappeared while being chained to sin. The story of hope that they grasp as they go back and forth between the past and the present with magnificent images that interweave fantasy and reality." That appears to be the setting of this MV! I'll try my best with this MV but as usual, I'll come back to this as soon as I get the drama tracks and a transcript of the lyrics (I tried to understand them the best I could!) in a month or two so I have more context to base all this on. From the reactions I've seen to this CD, I believe this will be a set of heavy tracks! Also, I got some questions/quotes from Loulou*di's tweets which might be fun to think about, feel free to respond :) The above was from the website. First of all, we can assume that the doll factory here is representing Amagiri Production. We're well aware that they're creating the perfect idols (dolls) and Loulou*di are also "dolls" they've produced. Loulou*di here have lost their colours (their hope/selves). They're just passing their days without thinking much and not paying attention to anything. Basically they've given themselves up to AmagiriPro who do what they want with them... 1:11 "Even if they escaped from the factory, the shadows will follow them. It’s like a chain." They decide they're going to go out anyway, they're going to take their immortal, unwavering pride and connect it to their present. I think the white flag burning symbolises how they're not going to surrender anymore (to their fates, even AmagiriPro?) and are going to take matters into their own hands. They're aware their past actions will stick to them, it's linked to their fates, no matter how they try to make it disappear, karma will come to bite. They acknowledge that their traumas will make things complicated, deceive them and make the whole process difficult, even try to take over them. But they're not going to fear any of that, they will go out on this journey. 1:40 "What did they bring back from another universe?" The lyrics here go on to acknowledge that for every wrong action they take, there are punishments. Just by living, they're burdened by sins. They're still going to aim for a new freedom though, they just need to know how and where to go. But they feel like even if they do manage to grab a hold of some form of happiness for themselves, they may feel like it won't last. 2:53 "Bring back the power at all risks." There is the dragon, keeping an eye on them reaching for the treasure chest. The treasure chest has a number of meanings, it could be representing something that you want to hold close to your heart and keep safe or something with sentimental value. But it could also represent your developed personality, which fits in with Loulou*di wanting to claim their selves back. Another interesting interpretation I found is that looking into the treasure chest means that you're trying to reconnect with your past, which I think also fits really well especially as we're shown the treasure chest opening before them for them to look into. The dragon seems like a threat, when they reach out for the treasure, the dragon finally comes to attack them but they keep hold of the treasure chest and manage to escape. As mentioned earlier, they're not going to lose to their fear, their karma, fate, past or anything, they outrun it and keep what's important to them. Notice how at 3:14, the dragon is flying a distance from them, it hasn't actually managed to attack them. Looking at the Japanese symbolism of dragons, we find dragons are a symbol of good fortune, they bring us happiness, offering us strength and courage at each important turning point in our lives. This is a turning point for Loulou*di who decided to reclaim themselves (and bring back the power) so maybe the dragon is there to show that Loulou*di will be able to achieve what they set out for. It's a positive thing, even if the dragon seemed like something dangerous. This might just be reflected in the lyrics where they say their trauma might deceive them and rule over them. Maybe the dragon isn't what it seems at all. At 3:20, we do see Loulou*di attack something with magic and it explodes. They may have thought it was the dragon, the threat, but we don't actually see the dragon getting hit, we see the dragon is still there at 3:31 and it sees them off, it doesn't seem hostile anymore. What they attacked may have actually been their past, their sins, because at 3:52, the chains holding them back are no longer there. They've escaped their shadows, their past, as they return to the factory (AmagiriPro). Back to the factory, the lyrics go on to say they've only had people expect/desire perfection from them. By their side, they've always had people who could perform and carry out their jobs (could this be referencing Anthos*, or just the others working for AmagiriPro, to make the project a success?). Loulou*di have reached the point where they have closed off their hearts (most obviously we can see this in the way Toki acts around Haruta) and in order to materialise their ideal and clear away everything that's wrong... They go to the old church. An old church is full of sacred signs and symbols that tell us about the past and informs people's faith. A church in general can be called a "house in the likeness of heaven", an "image of the dwelling place of God". These go along with Loulou*di's theme from the start of creating a perfect place. This old church here might just represent the establishment/rules/system/the heart that governs the idol world and how Loulou*di is going to change it. They think the current world is not right, thus at 4:09 we have the sound effect that suggests an error. The lyrics then go on to say they'll keep reconstructing themselves until they become painless, kill off the feelings that threaten to move them and become unfeeling (this makes me sad but it does show how much Loulou*di care about their ambitions, they value it over themselves). That which sustains their lives is the only thing that they will keep, it will be bright and clean, while everything else can be disposed of. After that we will set our eyes upon... 4:55 "It gave us....." A new future, I assume, which Loulou*di has been aiming for all this time. We have new roots (a new start point, new establishment), new blooms (youth and beauty, the lilies representing purity), new sprouts (growth), we have greenery taking over all the old buildings. Loulou*di will go and overwrite the world, with their values that they've treasured and taken "Perfect Pride" in to create a new world. 5:20 "Did they save or destroy the universe?" That's the question. Is what Loulou*di doing correct? Will it really be for the best? Or will it destroy the universe (the whole idol industry?) and make it worse? We don't know, we'll have to wait and see. 5:40 ...Wait. What is this-- Are we saying that AmagiriPro are basically putting ideas into Loulou*di's heads and getting them to think they can change the world in order to get them to continue to be perfect idols? But none of it is real? They won't actually achieve what they set out to do? All that AmagiriPro cares about is creating the perfect idols and it looks like they'll do it using any means possible. We're already seeing what's happening to Kaoru and what they did to Toki that one time, who's to say they haven't done something along those lines to Ageha too? Or are we saying that AmagiriPro are going to make it seem to Loulou*di like they've achieved the perfect world but they actually haven't achieved anything in terms of changing the idol world, it's all fabricated? Seems this whole MV was Loulou*di's dream and their ambitions, 5:40 is just showing us what the reality is. Please don't hurt them AmagiriPro, they deserve better :')
Okay, I've listened to the drama CDs and... Pain. It's the worst CD so far in terms of the amount of trauma and anxiety it gave me, I was left shook. I highly recommend listening to the drama tracks, some details about the whole project was revealed and it's pretty... disturbing? I'll go with that. And poor Toki. Someone please save him. I want to scoop him out of that world and give him a huge hug and all the sweets I can 😭 The part about killing off feelings and becoming unfeeling? After listening to the drama CD, I realise the meaning behind those words and it's terrible, worse than I thought D: It's scarier than I thought it would be. I don't really think I have anything to change about the analysis above as such, I think I want to stick to it for now and see how it goes. I'll try and be positive for them... Please save them...

(these interpretations are not in order so...yeah) First, honestly I thought that treasure chest would be like a Pandora's Box, a box from Greek Mythology that was opened and causing sadness and pain on the world. The only thing left in that box was "hope", or as wikipedia said "hope, but could also have the pessimistic meaning of "deceptive expectation"" (since it's Hana Doll*, let's just go with the "deceptive expectation" lol) And then, about the place they were in. It was so destroyed, so dry, so dead, with all those Dolls (mannequins) and run down buildings. But after all their efforts, it became greener, better, not completely fixed but looks a little bit better. This might indicate themselves, their goal, and how they fulfill it. Their way to reach their goal didn't seem to be easy, with the dragons and all. But in the end it would give them something that is better than their current state. Though, at the end we were brought to a scene that indicates these all are something man-made or possibly faked. Could it be all those "greens" are just a "dream"? Are they dolls or humans? Was it dream or reality that they saw? Remember, Rui-san ever told Toki-kun that "they are so lucky to be able to go to the beautiful world that they saw in their dream, together with Ageha-sama" ahshjdjd That gate in white roses. What was that even mean? White roses can be interpreted as "new beginning" in some way. I think it indicates that Loulou*di is about to take step as the starting move to gain their throne back (or their "treasure chest" back?) All of those new sprouts might symbolizes the result of their hardwork, which brought us to the greenery(?) scene. Again, we saw those jail shackles. (I'll continue later, need some sleep first hajsjdjd)
