I hate this trend, it's not going to be too long from now until all packages have ads of some kind. Originally, cable wasn't supposed to have any advertisements. That's why you pay

If it's cheap enough the ads don't bother me. Paramount+ for free with Walmart+ I will take for sure when it comes around, I let mine go just so I can switch to the free Walmart one when it comes out as I already have Walmart+. Peacock is running a promotion now just $20 for a full year, which I also plan on taking. For free and $20 a year I can deal with some ads.

Paramount+ isn't yet available yet on Walmart+, it's still listed as coming soon on their website. They haven't given an launch date yet but supposedly it's sometime this month. As of today though it's still not available.

I don't understand why people are upset about this it's one of the choices it's not the only choice. They will have their ad free tier. What do you expect Netflix to do. All the other services are doing it.

it's because it's taking the place of the current low tier which will be bumped to $15/month without any change to the value. It's a money grab.

Well not all! But if you make your satisfaction with Netflix known and drop them completely, as a human being I think you're better off.

Yeah I’m with you everybody’s complaining and whining like a bunch of damn babies. Anything that you watch is going to have ads or commercials if you have cable satellite or regular antenna TV everything‘s got ads unless you pay extra for it. If you can afford it keep the plan you have. This cheap plan is for people that can’t afford it or don’t want to pay the extra money for it. I have ad support apps I’m not gonna pay extra just so I don’t have to watch ads. Because when Ads comes on I just go to use the bathroom or get something to drink. The older generation can handle it this young generation is a bunch of Spoil babies. they call one or two minutes of ads is nothing compared to watching five or six minutes of commercials on satellite or cable or antenna TV .

Netflix already has a $9.99 SD one screen plan. The ad supported plan might be $7.99 a month maybe with HD video. I do not know about the future of the $9.99 plan. $7.99 is the original price of Netflix. Netflix currently only get revenue from their subscriptions. Netflix have ads will be a second form of revenue. The Netflix competition are owned by motion picture studios so they already have have other form of revenue.

The US never had that TV 'tax' thing Great Brittain is supposed to be getting rid of. All broadcast channels have been free since TV was invented. (PBS [Public Broadcasting System] is gov't-run, but I don't think they ever enacted a federal tax to pay for it. Regardless, Republicans have been trying to get it defunded and privatized since the 90s. The reasoning is that a "free" country shouldn't have state-run TV channels.)

I'll just wait for the promotions to have certain streaming services. At this point if it's expensive + ads it's getting cancelled.

Yeah I probably will get the Netflix ad supported tier. I would have rather have been more like five bucks a month in fact I really wish it had been more like $5/mo but seven won't be too bad considering that most people are
paying at least $9 for ad free.

@@william_mac huh? Actually I may love TV but most of the time I don't actually watch Netflix. When I do get a paid service I rotate them actually right now I don't have any paid services on my Roku I'm just waiting for Netflix to get the second season of Sweet tooth then I'll watch whatever I want to see on Netflix and cancel it but I don't mind watching commercials in fact I have like 41 apps all free probably only watch four or five of them on a regular basis and I do work a lot (like 54 hours a week) so it's not like I'm sitting around doing nothing but watching television. So what are you talking about?

    • @russellrichburg

Yeah I’m with You on that I’m getting The new plan when it comes out I don’t have Netflix I’ve just used a free trial of it. In the past. Because I have to watch my money and be tight with it. I got other streaming services but they are like five and seven dollars each.

Am I literally the only person who views Netflix as immensely overrated, they charge extra for multiple streams, extra for 4K, screw that. Paramount and Disney have been making content for nearly a century, Netflix is an infant crawling on the carpet compared to Disney, Paramount, and HBO.
