@createandcraftwithchristine I've always said that you were a speed sewer but with all the projects getting done, I'm convinced you must be sewing in your sleep! I don't know how you do it, but you consistently put out project after project and they are all so beautiful! I think there's some fairy dust in Australia
Beautiful Christine, very inspiring. Love the dusty pink laces , can I ask where you purchased them ? Gorgeous rose panel love pink and green combination. Beautiful fabric , lace and bits and bobs selection. ❤ your pouch will look stunning.❤
Hi Joanne - thanks so much. The laces and beaded pieces came from a site called Pitt Trading in Sydney that has all sorts of remnant and vintage haberdashery - the stock changes all the time: www.pitttrading.com.au/
I love it! And with your stitching it will be stunning! Looking again at those wonderful beaded pieces of Silk and Stitch, they would make a lovely box for the craftroom,I think😊ciao and thank you!
The selection of fabrics used is so gorgeous, and I love how the interiors of the bags often have embellishments as well as the exteriors. As well as looking good, I’m guessing they must also be very tactile. They look so practical and beautiful. The pouch you’re working on is off to a great start. It looks like it’ll be very versatile and useful as well as eye catching. The dusky pink fabrics look wonderful to work with. They’d create good contrast with both bright colours and monochromes. I can’t wait to see all the things you’ll create with those goodies.
Thank you very much - I think it is fun to make both the exterior and interior beautiful and interesting. You’re right about the tactile nature of the fabrics too. Even more so as the embellishments are added. Hope you’re having a good weekend with some crafting. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Hi Christine. You are off to a beautiful start with your pouch. I love it already. I plan to get started on mine this afternoon. I love this prompt. Hugs ❤️💕🙂
I've been trying to figure out how to do a fabric pouch for my projects instead of putting them in zip lock plastic bags! This project is very timely and I love your idea for the extra pouch. Ideas are percolating. Thank you for a lovely video as usual.
So happy this video contributed to you ideas and I really look forward to seeing what you create. The project envelopes are really handy to have. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Hi Christine, this is an exciting project for me because last year I was inspired by your project pouches to make something similar. I eventually began working on my idea but decided to make a project "wrap" something I could openout on my lap to work on. I couldn't believe it when I watched and found that this is the prompt for this month. I love your ideas and the fabrics and colours you have chosen. Best wishes Trish🌹🌹🦋
Beautiful beginning to your pouch! With your beautiful, tremendous amount of fabrics, I'm wondering just how large your craft room is?? 😅 I'm envious of both your space and your stash. There are few places here to shop for vintage fabric, so my goal is to make do with what I have. Thanks for sharing! ❤
Thanks Linda - I have a craft room that is just a regular sized bedroom and also my home office. So not huge at all, but I’m expert at sorting and storing. Will share a mini tour some time 🤗 cheers, Christine
Thanks Tineke - I’m an avid collector of vintage, reclaimed, remnant and second hand fabrics and embellishments. I really do need to use more than I collect though so this project is good as I’m Using some larger fabric pieces. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Lovely pouches, had kind of worked out the pouch after watching a few videos. All set sat and started mine while watching how yours was put together, boy has my want monster kicked in! lol know want to make your one. Sorry will carry on with the one I’m doing but hopefully I can make a pouch like your later. Was a very fun watch and love how your colours are coming together.
Haha - always the way! But I’m sure we will all make multiple pouches so plenty of opportunities to give this version a spin later 🤗 I look forward to seeing what you create 🤗 cheers, Christine
Christine watching you is always inspiring. Now, off to find my stash of fabrics to make my first pouch, what a great idea to keep all my projects in! Can I ask where you purchased your christmas goodies in the little plastic bag, the dusty pink colours are just gorgeous ❤ Thanks for sharing all of your projects and ideas, we don't have a reverse art truck in Brisbane, but I'm on the look out. Thrift stores are my favourite kind of shopping, the more loved the items are, the better. All the best and stay warm 😊x
Hi Wenn - I’m so happy you gain inspiration from watching. The bag of dusty pink pieces is from Pitt Trading/TheMaker Society - here’s a link to the pack - makersociety.com.au/products/dusty-pink-couture-pack?_pos=3&_sid=8df747c1e&_ss=r I have other packs too and their slow stitch pack which I showed in my video last week was amazing. It’s worth registering for their emails as they often have sales so if you want to wait a bit then you may get it on special (I got mine for half price I think which was a bargain but they are good value even at full price). Have a lovely weekend creating. Cheers, Christine
Hi. I love your fabrics but i am beyond intrigued about the ort balls. Could you give me some info on them or where i can see them made? Thank you . Greetings from South Africa
Thanks so much Luisa - I’ve shared the ort ball or bead making in this video around the 40 minute mark: ruclips.net/video/LIx9hZtC1P4/видео.htmlsi=23FMZbJZchitZ5Tf I hope you enjoy making them 🤗 cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
