Buried in Poison Oak! a fun Trail Guide of Bear Creek

Bear Creek trail is located in the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) on the south end of Briones Reservoir. You will need to get a day or annual permit through EBMUD's website trailpermits.e... $3 Day or $10 year. There are a lot of great trails in the the EBMUD trail systems that you want to get the permit for. If you live in the area I would definitely pop for the annual pass.
We parked in the Briones Overlook Staging area. There is a lot of parking so great for big groups. This trail is a great single track that is a fun out and back that is covered by tree's 90% of the time so it is a great trail when it is hot and sunny but you still want to get a hike, bike or run in.
There was a lot of poison oak just off trail so make sure if you have Dogs or children with you to keep them close and on leash if you don't want to deal with that pain later.
