I live in America, and I'm just recently _really_ getting into steam locomotives after seeing 4014 in person about three weeks ago. I have to say, with upmost respect, might I add, I was absolutely dumbfounded by the smaller stature of the trains themselves, and the higher pitch of the whistles. I just recently got to ride my first steamer about a week ago, and she was certainly no Big Boy, engine number 401, but I don't think even she could fit on those tracks without taking up the full space. Tell me, friend, why does it seem these countries make, or, well... _did make,_ I guess... such smaller locomotives? Or are there a lot more larger trains that just weren't showcased in this video?
Sadly we don’t have anything in the UK the same size of a big boy, however most of the network uses the same track gauge as what the big boy uses, 1435mm. Most of the trains showcased in this video are from smaller gauges, mainly 15” locomotives.
I swear the A4 whistles are the best in the UK. Greetings from Chile.
Thanks for watching! Greeting back from the UK! They are very iconic and I do rate them very highly!
I love it sir! please can we get more
Hopefully there will be another one towards the end of the year! Thank you for watching:):)
