This really needed to be in the $4-500 range to stay competitive. For $700 there's no point in buying this when you could get a full size boks for just a little more money. I know a few people no longer pre-ordering, this would've been the perfect speaker in the mid-level market had it been priced accordingly
direct competition??? this had no direct competition.....it's the same loudness as the soundboks 2, but in a more portable format factor, and it's gonna have more bass and better sound quality than any other speaker this size, also it has the ability to be upgrades via the app, this has no direct competition..

Nice idea but I think there are some things wrong. First of all: Why bring out a new soundboks when the batteryboks has been out of stock for ever? The concept is cool and all, but as everyone else said: 700€ is just way too much. Sorry but even for the high quality soundboks. I do however have a question: Will the app feature (live DJ) also be available for Android in the near future?
I enjoy my sb3. I want to support this. I just can't at 700.00. Looks like a solid product. Just too much competition to justify that cost. 499 would have been such a market. But hey they can sell 1/3rd less at 700 then they would have to at 500. And people attribute price to quality so I'm sure some of this is marketing. Love the company. Would love to have seen this be more woofer focused. For what it is, I'm sure they'll have success. I'm just going to have to wait on the used market at 700.00.
It looks great and I'm sure it sounds awesome, but this is going to face direct competition from comparable speakers such as the Mackie Thump Go, which is little over half the price of the Soundbox Go. Wish you all the success in the world though.

.....they need to make the replaceable battery available again, so many folks have had batteries fail after a few years. Been out of stock on the website for the past year. That said, this is a good segway to the line up but the price point sort of leaves more to be desired if you already own one of the previous gens of sounboks. If you're a first time owner it's a good choice.

I agree. Bought a Gen 3 after having a Gen 2 for almost a year & I wanna sell the Gen 2 but don’t wanna lose having 2 batteries seeing they’ve been out of stock for so LONG smh. But I need a smaller speaker as well & this price is a bit too much honestly
At this price of speaker if it can produce as much bass or more (low end bass) then the partybox 310 while fixing JBL's flaw of cutting bass when volume level is higher then 75% then ill definitely purchase it!
Hello from Berlin too expensive, especially 50€ surcharge for the carrying strap I find cheeky. The high price is certainly related to the difficulties they've had for a year, and they don't have the capacity for the mass market anyway. (At least now) So it's for the real brand fans... (And those who want to have the connectivity, I already have 2x Soundboks 3) I guess I will buy this one too, at least try it 🙄 I usually go with just one Boks, on a sack truck. The Go could well be on top of that, and then maybe with the tripod up, placed directly behind it… 👌 And of course wherever the 3 is too big and everything else, as always, too small And since it is smaller, as I understand it, one battery is enough for the same period of time that I use for the big 2-3x (11+bassPlus+techno= 2 1/2h. battery) And for me it‘s kind of getting a battery (that I really need) + a GoBoks for 600€ 😉

Klang für Techno ist top, Bass und/ mit Lautstärke (und Robustheit) unschlagbar. Hatte unfassbare Rave Nächte damit (Berliner Parks) in denen sich ungelogen hunderte, teilweise knapp 1000 Menschen (unverabredet) um die Boks als Epizentrum gebildet haben. Die Lautstärke hat vielleicht nur für 1-200 Menschen zum Tanzen gereicht, die anderen haben trotzdem gefeiert. Auch treffe ich häufig andere mit Soundboks und man kann verbinden. Diese Erlebnisse hätte ich mit JBL nicht gehabt, selbst wenn du die Akku Thematik umgehst.

This is what everyone has been waiting for But the price is actually a tick too expensive, with the prices the 300€ difference to the Soundboks (gen.3) doesn't interest you anymore
The price point is to expensive. It would make sense if it had 2 surround sound speakers. but to buy sb go for $700 just for portability reasons, when for 300 more you can get the sb Gen 3. Love the speaker but the price should be in 500 dollar range.
