Step by step instructions for replacing the alternator and the V-ribbed belt on the Opel Insignia A / Vauxhall 2.0 CDTI. All work from above. No lifting platform, no underbody disassembly and no disassembly of the wheel arch protector.

- Torx
- Hexagon nut with ratchet
- cable tie
- Side cutter
Main steps:
- Disconnect battery (00:18)
- Clear space: Remove air filter box (00:41)
- Defective alternator freewheel (02:56, 06:21)
- Dismantle alternator (3:16)
- Bringing the alternator up (5:57)
- The new alternator (07:08)
- Alternator freewheel function test (07:26)
- Installing the new alternator (07:35)
- Installation of V-ribbed belt (09:49)
- Reinstalling air filter box (10:53)
- Connecting battery (13:55)
- Test run: Is the belt running correctly? Warning message "Check battery charging system" extinguished? (14:15)
