Old: speed, power, timing, strategy, tighter scoring New: .. safer, free head kicks for 3-4 points? Current competitive taekwondo fighters are moving nowhere near as fast as this.
This style of tae kwon do is plainly poor, I.e. bad. Take away hand techniques, all is left is hopping around to try a kick to the head. It’s quite Emma’s a martial art.
Sport taekwondo limits striking options, yes. Actual taekwondo practice allows striking to any part of the body with any striking tool. Still, the speed, power and accuracy these fighters have is elite.
