If anyone tries this at home, keep in mind that a lot of mattresses will use fiberglass as a fire retardant. You dont want to be breathing that in or getting it all over in your home.
I do the same thing with couches. Also, your TV and microwave can be broke down to plastic, metal and glass that can go into your trash can or recycling bin. The PC Board I hide with the rest of my trash.
Ty Mike. It gave me the i for and motivation to just DO IT. after calling got junk and city dump prices and thrift donations.....its...gone now! Sort of. What we doin with the metal frame?
Thanks for watching. I have a friend who has a business with selling recycled steel. He was happy to take it and of course I was happy to get rid of it. Usually scrappers are willing to pick them up, and they're definitely more desirable to recycling places when all of the fabric is off...plus easier to handle. I hope that this helps.
It was more than too good. 💯 It was absolutely straight to the point perfectly made. Thank you. New subscriber here Thanks for teaching me & of course a bunch of likes from Tampa, Florida🌴🌞🌀😊
I was going to use them to smooth out an area that I was landscaping. I heard that they work really well for that. I am going to give them to a friend who saves scrap metal. I think that once they are cleaned off like this that there's a lot of people who will take them.
Thanks for watching Skitt. That is actually the combination of two fire pits. The mountains, deer, Etc was custom built at a place that I worked where they had a CNC plasma burning table to cut it out of 3/8 in steel plate. The cone shaped piece in the middle is made out of heavy stainless steel. If you know anybody that works in the coal industry, that was a Vortex dryer from a cold cleaning plant.
Thanks for watching Wendy. I just took it to a metal recycler/junkyard, but if all the stuff is cleaned off, there's people who collect scrap metal who will pick it up if you hang a free sign on it. I hope that this helps.
Thanks for watching Christine. I actually just set them out by the road and somebody picked them up to recycle the scrap metal. Not sure if this works everywhere or not.
Like the garbage company wants us to put the boxspring in plastic I began to after no pickup and I thought to simply do this as well idk it’s still sitting on lawn
I disassembled a mattress prior to this, and decided that it worked well enough to share in a video. It's a little off topic for what my videos are normally about, but I had fun making it. I'm not sure what the garbage company thinks of it, but it's got to go somewhere. 🤷 Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching Lewis. That stuff would have probably burned okay, but the smoke would have probably upset my neighbors, so I just bagged it for the trash man.

Ha ha Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed. I try to add some humor to every video I put out.
This is the best video on the subject, I have no idea why noobntube has this all the way at the bottom

Thanks for watching Inbal. I agree. I would make a heck of a mess indoors anyway. It made a mess in my yard.

Yep! I do that as much as I can. Thanks for watching.

What did you do with the springs?
I was going to use them to smooth out an area that I was landscaping. I heard that they work really well for that. I am going to give them to a friend who saves scrap metal. I think that once they are cleaned off like this that there's a lot of people who will take them.
Burned
@markuchiha7737 yes sir Mark! Thanks for watching!
Where can I get a burn pit like that?
Thanks for watching Skitt. That is actually the combination of two fire pits. The mountains, deer, Etc was custom built at a place that I worked where they had a CNC plasma burning table to cut it out of 3/8 in steel plate. Thanks!

That was not the same wood from the mattress burning at the end was it?
Thanks for watching. Yes, it was the same wood. I may have cut it up some more, but I filmed it all in one setting.
@themostlymikeshow awesome! I'm going to do it exactly the same way. Burning that wood is such a brilliant idea.
@goribhafizx it was nice and dry so it burnt really well and with very little smoke if you get all of the felt and plastic pieces off.
what did you do with the spring
Thanks for watching Wendy. I just took it to a metal recycler/junkyard, but if all the stuff is cleaned off, there's people who collect scrap metal who will pick it up if you hang a free sign on it. I hope that this helps.
Perfect and to the point. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and the kind comment. I'm glad that it helped.
What did you do with the springs afterwards? Looks like an awful project to snip apart and bag.
Thanks for watching Christine. I actually just set them out by the road and somebody picked them up to recycle the scrap metal. Not sure if this works everywhere or not.
Nice video

1:02 Nancy Pelosi 😂😂😂😂👏
Thanks for watching Ivan! Glad you enjoyed and took the time to comment! 😂
I did the same but saved the slats to make bird boxes and used thy offcuts for a BBQ.
Yep, the wood would work great for craft projects plus better for the environment. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
How did you dispose of the metal ?
In my area if I just set it out in front of the house people pick it up for recycling. There's usually people that will take clean metal for free.
@@themostlymikeshow I was an electrician. I always left the pipes and panels on the customer's curb. It's always gone by morning.
The sound effects made this so intense 😳
Haha thanks for watching Richard. I Go in different phases when I'm editing. I figured this would be funny to add ninjas and karate sounds
Don't lie, that's the roughest that mattress set has ever been treated!
You'd be surprised... 😎

Thank you for watching Jim! I hope that it helped.
Lol nice video
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment with the kind words Marie.
What's up with Nancy?
🤷
Hell yeah!
Lol Thanks for watching Tom!
Wow very ECO FRIENDLY.
😂 Sort of eco friendly, I guess. I hear people recycle them, but not in my area. Thanks for watching!
It is considering any other way involves much more burning via machines using fossile fuels to process it. Or dumping it in a land fill.
@rinconusmc Thanks for watching Rinconusmc! If the USMC in your name implies that you are a Marine, thank you so much for your service!
@@themostlymikeshow Semper Fidelis!
@rinconusmc I'm a USAF vet. Thanks again for your service and merry Christmas to you and your family.
You should have burned the material as well 👍🏻
Thanks for watching Lewis. That stuff would have probably burned okay, but the smoke would have probably upset my neighbors, so I just bagged it for the trash man.
