While technically there is some cool stuff going on here. This is really the first game in a long while where it was so bland and without anything to keep me playing that I had to walk away and come back. It absolutely shows that if you want to make a particular game style you need to design for it. And it doesn't feel like that was done here. Hoping we see some Division like improvements as we go Also sorry for the audio glitch or two.
Yeah, gave up on picking this one up. Played and finished the CBT, downloaded the OBT and uninstalled after 10 minutes; essentially went to look at the new area. The game is boring and repetitive. May pick it up when the price has dropped significantly. Beautiful game, huge potential. Needs work.
You don't kill him. You don't kill anyone important, ever. This game isn't the "play as you want" game they advertised. It's fucking far cry with multiplayer without half the cool shit far cry has. Apart from a pretty map this game is crap.
@@codylee1682 its fuckin amazing its like metal gear phatom pain but with better stealth and ur squad can help u do shit unlike in some games where ai is stupid and useless. The story is good not amazing but good. Dunno what ppl are talking about when they say the driving is bad. Its literaly the same as gta. And there is variety in customization
I sort of feel like our standards for video games in general has been blow way out of proportion. If this game had been released like 5 - 10 years ago, I feel like it would have been one of the highest rated games of the last generation.
well ya and looked 10 times better than anything back then. That would be odd. But sure it would be amazing to see a game from now released 5 years in the past
I'm not even talking about the graphical fidelity of the game. I mean content, and gameplay wise, this game would have stood out. I mean, don't get me wrong, I agree with your review entirely. I've been playing a lot of the game, unfortunately in single player at the moment. While it has been fun to a degree, it is massively repetitive.
+DarkeraStudios I think we criticize modern video games because their emphasis on an open world has seriously detracted from story telling and the single player campaign. I don't care how big the open world or good the draw distance is if the game is not fun and engaging.
I personally think this game is amazing. From the very beginning your set loose into an incredibly huge open world where your free to roam anywhere, but you can't just blatantly go and do what you please because the enemies will quickly put a stop on you if you dont take your time, be patient, and plan your advancements against them. As far as the storytelling I understand its virtually lifeless but to me I value gameplay over story. The story is nothing more than a simple explanation of what I'm doing there and why, and to me thats fine. I didnt buy this game because I wanted top notch storytelling. Who would buy this game with that being there #1 Priority? The Last of Us had one of the best storytelling elements I've ever seen and yet, there's a moderate amount of people who hate the game. You simply can not please EVERYONE, it's impossible. My opinion...this game is very similar to Just Cause 3 only it has a more serious tone and with multiplayer. Yet both games I found to be alot of fun. Like I said in my other comment above...at the end of the day, when you turn it all off...understand that you were just playing a video GAME. No video game, not a single one in the history of video games is PERFECT.
Is that a bad thing? Is a Mitsubishi Mirage a good car because it would have been nice in the 70s? No! It came out in the new 10s! It has to fight the Honda Fit just like every other car. Is wildlands a good game because it would be a gold standard 5 years ago? Hah, no, it has to fight against The Witcher 3 and Skyrim just like the rest of the open world games that came out. Tldr, it would be great 5 years ago but it was released in a time where we actually expect things.
not sure if this applied to the full game but in the beta, as long as your squadmate was trying to line up a sync shot he became undetectable. i witnessed the guy walk right in front of an AIs face and not trigger any response....
GR Wildlands is classic Ubisoft. It's visually impressive and the open-world map is vast, but once you scratch under the surface you realise it's actually pretty empty. It's like a beautiful woman with absolutely zero personality.
Its like Kim Kardashian; you're attracted by the enormous ass but when you get closer, much closer you realize its all fake. Still some fun but not all it's cracked up to be.
I always tend to chuckle a little bit, when I see people complaining about a few textures here and there, or a certain lack in the story, tacky sounds or whatever in these kinds of games. Dude, some of us grew up in the 8-bit era. This is what your 10 year old self imagined a game like Double Hawk or Choplifter looked like while playing it. At that age I would have given my left arm for only one mission looking and playing like this!
ACG Damn now I feel bad I pre ordered with my friends, I enjoyed the beta a lot so I decided to give it try and buy it but after hearing this, I actually feel bad and an idiot. I'm a little worried now.
It's like the resurrection of Delta Force with modern graphics. I did love me some DF mulitplayer back then but the single player was such a joke, a tasteless bad joke.
It's generic and pretty drab when you get down to it. In fact, I really can't tell you a single original thing it dose. However I find myself coming back to it; I like it, it's comfortable, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Just gonna leave a complement here, I admire how violently honest you are about any game man. Your bashing on nvidia or the water of the game. Gave me a great laugh, I’ll definitely be coming back for more game reviews.
"It's sort of like replacing your car tires with candy canes. It's a sweet ride, but it in the end it's sort of freaking pointless" That was so damn good hahaha! Excellent in-depth review as always!
I bough the deluxe version when it was on sale at ps-store. I've been so unsure about this game bc it's gotten alot of negativity, but I actually enjoy it! Sure it's kinda repetitive and have some issues, the biggest ones for me is the driving and getting stuck on cliffs so I have to fast travel and start the mission over lol... :) The hardest difficulty setting w no hud is the key to enjoy this game for me!
Great video. I'm personally sick of Ubi Soft games feeling so similar. This feels like a mix of Far Cry and Division to me and I'm just not into it. I played the beta and got the same feeling, as well as a handful of bugs and issues!
That's a good point. I will check this game out again in a few months and see if it has improved at all. But will only pick it up for a deep discount. Standard price for games now in Canada is $79.99, and our dollar isn't great so every purchase for me has to be informed and thought out! Your reviews always help with that decision!
I personally love some of their new games lately, like Rainbow Six Siege and For Honor; the problem is not the originality or concept, it's the delivery. There hasn't hardly been a single ubisoft game in a year that hasn't had launch problems.
That could be it too. I didn't like Division. Didn't like Watch Dogs 1, didn't buy or play 2. I like RB6 Siege now but really didn't enjoy For Honor. And I think my interest for Assassin's Creed died with Desmond!
Assassins creed 3 IMO has a great set of characters but the city's and environment's weren't that good. I think assassins creed 4 is the opposite. The land and sea where the best characters in the game. But ac2 and brother hood had both. The new ones don't interest me at all.
It feels like "wait for extensive patching and updates" could slot right alongside "worth a rental" and "wait for a sale" as a category on your show,. That's in itself is a telling statement on modern Triple A gaming.
Writing and characterization has never been Ubi's strong suit. I can't remember a single memorable Ubisoft character from the last decade besides Vaas.
I will agree that it's not their strong suit but I thought they did an incredible job with Evie and Jacob in AC:Syndicate and because of that, I really fell in love with that game.
it finally hapoened...they day I disagreeded with a review you have done (u said that day would come). I see your point on some of it's flaws but I feel the open world looks absolutely stunning (playing on PC). I love how large and diverse it is and I feel Ubisoft finally made an open world game that I enjoy. I couldn't enjoy Watchdogs 2 or some of there other previous attempts. This one just grabs me. I have over 25 hours and it is keeping away from Horizon Zero Dawn much more than I thought it would. I love Horizon but something about the gameplay in Wildlands just keeps me smiling and coming back. Maybe playing on harder is what keeps it a bit more fresh/fun (I know you play on all difficulties). I haven't even tried playing with others online yet. Keep doing what your doing, best reviews on RUclips.
Love your reviews one of my biggest issues is how every enemy PC knows your an enemy even when your in a civilian car right away. Like they are wolverine or something
@@ACGreviews So they're retarded but still somehow adept at dodging your gunfire and outrunning the player? Just saying lol that's literally what Forrest Gump does.
wildlands definitely one of the more exotic and beautiful map in an open world for sure, which I definitely appreciated in the Beta also co-op was fun with voice Will be keen to see this on sale at some point
Ivewithin as long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters. I mean, some people don't even like The Last Of Us that game was phenomenal. Point being, opinions 😂
After playing the open beta for this, to me it felt more like a less goofy Just Cause that finally allowed Co-op,, but w/o the amenities that makes Just Cause fun. One thing that stood out, which was especially annoying, is the "cheese" factor to just drive or fly something with (or even w/o) weapon mounts, and your quick draw sniper AI would locate and eliminate a threat at lightning speed. Overall, after 16+ hours in the beta, when i was telling my friends... "I was impressed and not impressed at the same time" The game has strengths and weaknesses that constantly duke it out with each other. Great review as always, Thanks Karak!
On the hardest difficulty and a buddy to play tactical with, this is the best co-op game I have played to date. Also, Ubisoft is the best open world creators in gaming right now. This game is basically MGSV with co-op and a better, more lively world. If you have a friend, full price buy. If you are going to play alone, wait for the sale. Ubisoft despite the hate train has been pretty solid post Assassins Creed. The Division was absolutely packed with detail and had good depth. However, the poor endgame at launch was very unfortunate. Siege though is one of the best competitive shooters in the last decade. And I argue that Wildlands is one of the best coop games released.
"Ubisoft is the best open world creators in gaming right now" LOLOL Stop it! "This game is basically MGSV with co-op and a better, more lively world" LOL o god! I can't... Hahaha!
Great review. I've seen a few of these reviews and I'm subscribing. Funny and informative. I did buy the game almost on release and I'm not disappointed. It is repetitive after a minute but I bought it for it's saving grace, coop, and there is does shine. I was interested in the division until I heard about the bullet sponge thing and the terrible loot, so this was a good alternative. The customization is cool too, although I hope there is more in the future. It is definitely a wash rinse repeat game, but I kinda figured that going in. At the end of the day it is what you make it, and I've had a blast so far in coop coordinating tactics in missions (just me and my buddy going at it 2 player). I could have waited to buy it but I haven't bought a full priced game in a while and I really wanted to support the developers here.
Shy Guy I think they should have maybe made a open level game Hitman style but not open world. Made each mission really deep with tons of diffrent ways and situations.
Played this with my buddy and man this was soo fun, I don't purchase many games day 1 but this is IT! Love the graphics on PC, and as always fantastic review. Your always first for some reason lol.
As always a very concise and fair review karak, I'm picking it up as I'm a ol Socom / rainbow six fan with group of friends to play with. Thank you for your hard work brotha!
I bought division after 1 year and a few months. 1st price has lowered and 2nd the game is actually fixed for the most part. I am enjoying it. Will do the same with Wildlands probably :)
dylan cook Yeah, well at least turn off that bullshit red blobs that show where enemies are on minimap. Why even use the drone if you know someone's there
popa chopa 😂 bro you could not seem like more of a bitch than the comment you just made. ITS A VIDEO GAME! Why do you take this shit so personally and so seriously? You talk about games as if any of them are worth the money you actually pay for them. It's all worthless. Literally. Why are you "demanding" anything from a VIDEO GAME!? Believe me, you can have fun without shitting on other people's.
ACG hey did u make a preview or anything for Lego worlds? honestly one of the better games I've played in 2 years of shit AAA titles. give some attention to this game if u havnt. u might like it too :b
+Mopeyhornet *Lego* Worlds? Lmao, what are you, 5? Yeah, The Witcher 3 was shit. Doom was shit. Obviously I can't think of many games that came out over the past two years or I would list more. Recently we've had many good games come out, especially in the PS4. Yet you're here talking about Lego Worlds. Lol.
I feel like this one of those games that gets somewhat panned by the critics but the users tend to have enjoyed it more. I dont disagree with most of your criticisms but i just cant help to disagree with the recommendation. I did play the majority of this game with a few close buddies but we all hands down think this is some of the most fun weve had with a co op shooter. This game certainly wasnt without its warts but if youre a fan of this kind of game youd be doing yourself a disservice by avoiding it. Def recommend bringing along some friends for the best experience. Cant wait for the recently revealed sequel!
The beta for this really frustrated me. I love Ghost Recon and the fact that this game is so bland, uninteresting, uninspired and all with a complete lack of focus on the tactical aspect made me unable to play it for longer than two or three hours nonstop. Even an hour was forcing myself most times. Hell, even the co-op is boring and not fun to play. And the fact that PvP isn't part of the base launch ticks me off as well given it's a Ghost Recon game. Future Soldier was incredibly fun to play compared to this, and still is to this day assuming you can find people to play with. I'd suggest people just buy that on PC and group up on it rather than waste 50+ dollars/pounds on such a boring package.
That just reinforces the point though. Instead of actually fleshing them out in the story and making them interesting there, the devs decided to force you to look for the tapes to flesh them out in a lazy way to force you to play for longer in the bland and dull game world they created. What's the point of including a story if the characters just get all the development in shitty collectibles? It just reinforces how backwards Ubisoft's methodology is.
I found nothing wrong with this game your either gonna go in tactical or goofy as fuck and both are fun especially if you got the right friends and yeah your gonna have some glitches and tech issues at some point but all games do the game isn't perfect, just most people want it to be and u just might be boring ass person
Yeah, you pretty much nailed it. Way too many bugs in this game... It would have done a lot better if they released it around christmas and spent time fixing bugs, AI, and add something of a story feel so some of the missions. So much potential. Such a waste. It feels like one team made a map (great job), and another made everything else (Half-assed) in a rush. I honestly think this game wasn't meant to be a Tom Clancy game and rather like a reboot of Mercenaries (anyone remember that one?) but they made some dumb decision that they can grab the Tom Clancy fans with the name.
Only Karak's reviews can make me laugh more then any comedy channel. Awesome video. I've played the beta and I agree 100% with everything you said, this game is Ubisoft saying "you remember all those flaws our open world games have? well you've come to the right place coz we just crammed all of them in here".
Personally i liked the open beta, my only issues were the fact that theres no ''restart mission'' for main missions, so if i wanna go stealth and screw up i cant restart, forcing me to die intentionally and it doesnt help that your teamates revive you and that there was no option to die straight away instead of waiting for a revive. The other thing is, id really love if they had a ''wait'' mechanic like MGS 5 so i can do missions on night time whenever i wanted but apart from that i enjoyed it and didnt even play with friends. :P
Basically reached the same conclusion after playing the beta. At first, my friends and I were having a pretty decent time. After a few hours we thought, "hmm, we kinda just played the whole game already huh?". Seems like a good back up game to play when you're looking to kill some time, but not fully commit to it.
ACG does reviews that are true and not filled with sponsored bullcrap just like he say's at the start. The man is very smart when it comes to how games are created and if they are just "hype games" or just made to be repetitive bullcrap that people would get tired of with 3 hours of playtime, and regretting that they wasted 60$ on junk. So i respect ACG and trust his reviews enough to decide if i buy it or not. As i think many others like myself do the same.
yea i agree acg is very detailed in his reviews and is good at what he does, but at the end of the day his word isnt god and hes still just another guy with an opinion. i do think this review is a bit harsh but at the end of the day i believe that this is the type of game youll either like or you wont based on how much you enjoy the core gameplay.
Damn. The homies really want me to get this but I know I'm going to get bored with it fast. I think I'm just gonna buy Horizon: Zero Dawn for PS4 instead.
Wow. This is my first time using your site as a review base, and in short, you are a blazingly fast, witty, funny, insightful reviewer. I thoroughly enjoyed this take on Wildlands and agreed with much of what you had to say. I love the format of buy, rent or don't bother along with the various aspects of gaming you focus on. You certainly know your stuff and I've become a fan with just this review. (Even though I think you sold this game short in a few areas. I absolutely loved it and have recommended it to many). That being said, tomatoes, um, er, tomatoes? Well done! Keep up the rapid fire commentary and stop using all the blow you were supposed to destroy in Wildlands. Yes, a bad joke. You rule. Cyber high five.
This game is beautiful and it's not just me but raiding bases never gets old, the stealth element is extravagant, and the motorbike physics make the game so fun, and you don't go flying off the vehicle every five seconds, also anybody who doesn't have this game should get it now, the gold edition is 104 dollars but they have a gold sale on uPlay launcher only, and it's only 30 dollars.
but the question is, why UbiSoft continue to release unfinish games instead of postponing release date and finish it at least ≤90% and only then start working on patches and DLCs ?
This is the first review I’ve ever watched of yours and you are hilarious with your descriptions! I Will definitely check out more of your reviews! Keep up the great work!
The only thing good about Ubisoft is that they usually let everyone play in an open beta before a big release. Nice of them to give people a chance to be smart and realize they probably should keep their money.
I stopped calling them "Tom Clancy's" a long time ago....I just call them the title that they are after that name. I can't stand Ubisoft for pulling this crap long after Mr. Clancy passed...they are scumbags and should only tag it onto a REALLY POWERFUL game...not just all the 'crap' they send out the pipes for us to play with....yeah, great analogy huh
I cancelled my preorder of wildland after 15 mins playing the open beta.....and after the cancellation I actually forced myself to play two more hours to make sure the game is bad ..... oh yeah, the game is horrible ... and I just preordered Nier : )
I like open world and many options to approach enemies, so ill probably wait for mega sale to buy this, even then ill think about it cuz after all Ubisoft is shit
This is a decent Mil-sim game and great Military "Barbie" game. Two third of my playtime is customizing my character's outfits and playing around with gunsmith.
Nearlly every other review on RUclips is trying to pass GRW off as an excellent game, with 9s of 4.5s, how can they give such highscores for such a bland game?
ACG Orr they just hype up games so we buy them, its a common thing with alot of RUclipsrs, they tell us all the good parts of the game while leaving out all the issues it has.
Ubisoft sponsoring the video in some way probably lol. A lot of people are too afraid to speak objectively about companies like Ubi, too. They'll stop sending free games to review and, GASP, you'd actually have to buy it.
Andrew, what is wrong with Siege? It's extremely competitive and its ranking system is addictive. I assume you are one of those people which will post a bad review of a Ubisoft game because it is Ubisoft. Hate their ethics if you want but Siege is a brilliant game. Each map doesn't seem in anyway similar to another and the matches get constantly shaken up with different defender locations. The new operators are something to work for as they are expensive and no one match is like the next down to the different operator abilities. One match you will find your operator will thrive down to the other teams defender choices and location and another match or round you will find yourself vulnerable. I haven't even got half of the year 1 operators yet and another year of operators is planned, it's safe to say there is plenty of incentive to keep playing. The downgrade sucked but honestly, the game is the same as it was shown in E3 and on trailers. For me, I could not get into CS:GO competitively for it just felt like it was a game from the early 2000's but Siege has certainly provided that for me. I will be waiting for you to get back to me on how this game is bad.
Ben Dover yeah the division suck balls but wildlands is way better just the fact you can see someone die and blood comes out unlike the division where u shoot 6000 times and u just see points coming out of the enemy lol
It's terribly optimized on consoles. The game routinely drops into what seems to be low teens when lots of things are going on, which is often, because it's fun to blow shit up. On PC, I'm sure it was just fine.
Are we still talking about Just Cause 3? I think we got sidetracked. JC3 just seemed to be terribly optimized all around. As for GR, that game seems mostly fine performance-wise
I just download this game on my i7 laptop 💻 for free and it's a boom... Really nice video game 🎮. It's like playing first person shooter game in GTA IV form 🔥
Another bit of immersion breaking gameplay is that your teammates are sometimes immune to damage. For example, I stormed a prison and the enemy was lobbing mortars at me. I was under a rock ledge and wasn't getting hit, but my AI team was standing in the middle of the road taking mortar rounds to the noggin and nothing happened lol.
When it comes to open world mayhem games like this, just cause or far cry, I honestly don't think anything can beat the mercenaries series, that shit was the bomb (imo)
So Ubisoft basically took the vehicle mechanics of "Just Cause", the world design of "GTA V", the gameplay of "Mercenaries" and the on foot action of "Metal Gear Solid V". And what do they do with it they slap the name Ghost Recon on it. Tom Clancy is definitely turning over in his grave right now. #ubisoft_sucks
I_Am _Scorpio94 okay I'm not trying to defend Ubisoft but how about you go make a game that has mechanics that was never implemented in a game.. I bet you can't do it. smh
Donald Dingess I'm not a game developer and yeah I know it hard to crank out revolutionary games. All I'm saying is Ubisoft needs to stop making promises they can't keep. They should just take what they have and run with it instead of showing us "amazing" trailers and giving us bugged up games that they "swear" they'll just fix later. As a gamer, I personally don't care about these next generation graphics that every developer promises. I just want a good narrative with good gameplay to boot. In short, I don't like being lied to. But, I respect your opinion.
wtf does that have to do with his complaint you fucking idiot? so now you have to work in that field to have a opinion as a potential customer paying money? stay in fucking school and learn how to not sound so fucking dumb.
I played through it with two friends. They were really into it, even played it on single player when the others could not join. Me... not so much. It was fun for a while, playing in co-op. But after the first few provinces, I could see that I'd already experienced everything the game had to offer, and that it would be a rinse and repeat fest, that felt less and less fun as it went by. When we started playing, my friends would be so enthusiastic, but I just could not understand why. Countering their enthusiasm, my mind would drift away almost instantly after logging in, drifting away to other games I was playing, and actually enjoying at the time (Horizon Zero Dawn, NieR: Automata, Nioh and Breath Of The Wild). Maybe it was because those other games that I found Ghost Recon so lackluster. My friends weren't playing anything else that I know of. We made this deal, were we agreed that we would only play story missions while playing together, the three of us at the same time. So, sometimes we defined a time of the day to play, and, when the time came, only me and one of them would be logged in, while the other would tell us that he would join right away, and asked us to wait for him. What did the two of us that were logged in did while the third joined?... "Want to do some side missions?" My friend would say... Those times were the worst. The side missions got old so fast, that they would actually make miss the main missions, even when those were not all that better, and it actually made me wish for a power cut or an internet failure, so I could just log out without bothering my friends. Anyway, to this day, I still haven't told my friends how much I hate this game. When we finished the campaign, I felt that I just went through the longest chore I'd ever undertaken.
Why is this game open world?? What does the open world add to a third person military shooter where the only 2 modes of play are "not detected" or "all out war"?? I thought of this same question when I tried to play MGS V for like 2 hours before I got bored and never touched it again. Poor open world releases over the last 5 years have really dulled my enthusiasm for these kinds of games. I can honestly say I've only played 3 really good open world games since Red Dead Redemption, one of them was GTA V and the other 2 were Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor and Yakuza 0, every other one I've tried has been unimpressive to downright poor.
I'm glad I watched this video. I was interested in this game prior of its release but after skimming thru the video and listening to the overall of the game. I decided not to get it. Thank you for saving me my hard earned money.
While technically there is some cool stuff going on here.
This is really the first game in a long while where it was so bland and without anything to keep me playing that I had to walk away and come back.
It absolutely shows that if you want to make a particular game style you need to design for it. And it doesn't feel like that was done here.
Hoping we see some Division like improvements as we go
Also sorry for the audio glitch or two.
ACG I felt the same way playing the beta. glad I didn't spend money on it
ACG It honestly looks uninspired to me , Kind of like a BAD cross between Far cry and the The Division
Yeah, gave up on picking this one up. Played and finished the CBT, downloaded the OBT and uninstalled after 10 minutes; essentially went to look at the new area. The game is boring and repetitive. May pick it up when the price has dropped significantly.
Beautiful game, huge potential. Needs work.
ACG any idea when we should expect your Zelda BOTW review and thoughts on the Switch?
That was a bad mistake dude. Horizon is phenomenal. You are missing out on a very special game. IMHO Horizon is close to being a GOTY contender.
the dj on the radio has a better personality than all your team members combined
Reminds me of the far cry 4 DJ lol
Tom Tom hA lol true
You don't kill him. You don't kill anyone important, ever. This game isn't the "play as you want" game they advertised. It's fucking far cry with multiplayer without half the cool shit far cry has. Apart from a pretty map this game is crap.
Tom Tom Too much of that radio shit all over the city... I get sick of it.
u have no taste in games farcry is crap after like 1 hour
so it basically your typical Ubisoft game meaning buy after substantial updates.
V8Flexin Nope, it means don't buy it at all or they will continue to put out trash.
U tried rainbow six siege lately?
care to elaborate? is it worse now than at launch?
keyword. LATELY
V8Flexin Buy a used copy, that way they don't get any fucking money from you.
Vehicle physics straight out of 2006

Doesn't take away the fun.
Sonny Ankau or 2 $750 Nvidia GPU’s
Sonny Ankau gta v is about as good as you can get without giving up fun gameplay and it runs on my 800 dollar laptop
So basically never buy an Ubisoft game at release because they are never really finished.
Got it.
no
Alexander Deschenes not necessarily
Alexander Deschenes ac 2 and rainbow six siege was great. I had fun with this game but not worth $60

It's over a year later & it's on sale for $15, I think I'm going to buy it now. Great review I slept on this game, but I knew I'd get it one day.

Nog yea me too
This game is better with friends
what if you have no friends
I dunno about you guys but I'm enjoying this game on the ps4
DropTheBat yeah i think the game is great, but I guess some people hate it.
People just like to shit on Ubisoft. Game isn't perfect. But it is extremely fun and addictive.
Love this game.
yeah same
I told you guys the game was already finished during the Beta. That Beta saved me $60.
colteastwood with Ubisoft they throw up betas all the time so just by the first taste of this game should ask you if you want to fork in 60$ or not
same. by the time i finished every thing in the beta, i was like welp, that cant be it. i beat two "bosses" in 2 hours? not buyin.
Tavian Armstrong took me 7
the retarded fantards will just try to argue its a beta and that it will change in less then a month tho bro LOLOLOL
oooooohhhh you're cool
Well I got this for 30... and I can safely say it was actually worth it
$24.99 here.. best $25 I've ever spent on a game...
I got 2 copies for 30 bucks was worth to play with a friend. Resold both copies for 50 bucks hahaha profit of 20 bucks

+DarkeraStudios
I think we criticize modern video games because their emphasis on an open world has seriously detracted from story telling and the single player campaign.
I just wish they would not force the friendly AI on you.
YA TRUE
Can you choose to not have them?
He was saying just ignore them.
Just have them stay at one spot and they wont move lol. I played without them and it made it better !
not sure if this applied to the full game but in the beta, as long as your squadmate was trying to line up a sync shot he became undetectable. i witnessed the guy walk right in front of an AIs face and not trigger any response....
GR Wildlands is classic Ubisoft. It's visually impressive and the open-world map is vast, but once you scratch under the surface you realise it's actually pretty empty. It's like a beautiful woman with absolutely zero personality.
+Nicholas Taylor - I'd have more fun with that beautiful woman than this game though ;)
but you can't have sex with the game
Its like Kim Kardashian; you're attracted by the enormous ass but when you get closer, much closer you realize its all fake. Still some fun but not all it's cracked up to be.
I always tend to chuckle a little bit, when I see people complaining about a few textures here and there, or a certain lack in the story, tacky sounds or whatever in these kinds of games. Dude, some of us grew up in the 8-bit era. This is what your 10 year old self imagined a game like Double Hawk or Choplifter looked like while playing it. At that age I would have given my left arm for only one mission looking and playing like this!
Great game, I find the driving awesome, extremely immersive game overall but I do agree about the enemies spawning from nowhere.
After playing the open beta, this is the vibe i got. Bit dull with some potential.
ya
ACG Would you say it's worth I play if I got it for free?(It came with my GPU that I ordered)
Shane Grosse yea of course. the game is great if u make it great
ACG Damn now I feel bad I pre ordered with my friends, I enjoyed the beta a lot so I decided to give it try and buy it but after hearing this, I actually feel bad and an idiot. I'm a little worried now.
It's like the resurrection of Delta Force with modern graphics.
I did love me some DF mulitplayer back then but the single player was such a joke, a tasteless bad joke.
I found this game fun when I was just screwing around with my friends I haven't done that in a long time with any xbox game
Dominick Downs same
It's generic and pretty drab when you get down to it. In fact, I really can't tell you a single original thing it dose. However I find myself coming back to it; I like it, it's comfortable, and there's nothing wrong with that.
@@FRGDEC El sueno s cartel was pretty original every member was fucked up and their stories were funny
i thought xbox is a tv emulator
all they had to do is modernize graw and mix it with arma...
This guy knows what's up
Dead-Owl 911 damn
Dead-Owl 911 yes, graw 3 mixed with arma would be a wet dream
all they had to do was fallow the damn train CJ!!!
Exactly.
Just gonna leave a complement here, I admire how violently honest you are about any game man. Your bashing on nvidia or the water of the game. Gave me a great laugh, I’ll definitely be coming back for more game reviews.
This game may suck but its character creation is 600 years ahead of andromeda.
Doesn't take much.
ahead? riiiight.... here you have like the option to change your head to another one, and in MEA you can change things.
"It's sort of like replacing your car tires with candy canes. It's a sweet ride, but it in the end it's sort of freaking pointless" That was so damn good hahaha! Excellent in-depth review as always!
thanks Pasi
This still manages to be one of my favorite games this generation.
I am ok with similar. But it has to be designed around. here there is just nothing.
That is a good honest review right there, respect as always.
thanks
It feels like "wait for extensive patching and updates" could slot right alongside "worth a rental" and "wait for a sale" as a category on your show,. That's in itself is a telling statement on modern Triple A gaming.
Writing and characterization has never been Ubi's strong suit. I can't remember a single memorable Ubisoft character from the last decade besides Vaas.
true
Tropic Moon Ezio
I will agree that it's not their strong suit but I thought they did an incredible job with Evie and Jacob in AC:Syndicate and because of that, I really fell in love with that game.
Tropic Moon vaas and ezio
Tropic Moon The operators in rainbow six have more personality than most assassins creed characters past Ezio.
Really wish they would just drop the Tom Clancy's name. I can't think of a single game that has really deserved that title in a long time.
Casey M Seige
ghost N/A Yeah for the first 10 hours JUST LIKE THIS GAME
ghost N/A ya it's a great game
Casey M they need to license it to another company that makes good games
Siege
it finally hapoened...they day I disagreeded with a review you have done (u said that day would come). Keep doing what your doing, best reviews on RUclips.
glad your loving it
ACG *you're
25 hours.... I have 120+ hours logged on Zelda... you don't know if you love a game until your 100+ hours into it and still grinding
Luke Grossmann bloodborne ds3 and diablo all have 200hrs or so in each kne and im still chaging my build up occationally for kicks
What's up with these comments just getting cut off?!?!
Love your reviews one of my biggest issues is how every enemy PC knows your an enemy even when your in a civilian car right away. Like they are wolverine or something
"Forest Gump AI" LMAO
Its true sadly
@@ACGreviews So they're retarded but still somehow adept at dodging your gunfire and outrunning the player? Just saying lol that's literally what Forrest Gump does.
wildlands definitely one of the more exotic and beautiful map in an open world for sure, which I definitely appreciated in the Beta also co-op was fun with voice
Will be keen to see this on sale at some point
I'm literally watching this as i am pre loading it o_o. i know its seriouse flaws but i just had too much fun in beta
Ivewithin bbbbh
Imperfections be damned, no man made object is perfect. We don't get to enjoy anything by dissecting it and lamenting to the stars were disappointed.
If you have fun. Get it lol that's what I did. It's why I got it.
I think if you have a good group of friends to play with, the game would actually be really enjoyable
AGREED
On the hardest difficulty and a buddy to play tactical with, this is the best co-op game I have played to date. Also, Ubisoft is the best open world creators in gaming right now. This game is basically MGSV with co-op and a better, more lively world.
If you have a friend, full price buy.
If you are going to play alone, wait for the sale.
Ubisoft despite the hate train has been pretty solid post Assassins Creed. The Division was absolutely packed with detail and had good depth. However, the poor endgame at launch was very unfortunate. Siege though is one of the best competitive shooters in the last decade. And I argue that Wildlands is one of the best coop games released.
sinatrashotya rockstar would say otherwise
"Ubisoft is the best open world creators in gaming right now" LOLOL Stop it!
"This game is basically MGSV with co-op and a better, more lively world" LOL o god! I can't... Hahaha!
Thanks for your comments. Have a good one!
+sinatrashotya Oh no, thank YOU!
Gta 5 ? wticher 3 with dlcs ? bad for you right?
Your are the only game reviewer I have in my subbox ;D
thanks. You should check out Cosmic Engine he covers some stuff really well.
Just Subbed to Cosmic Engine, thx!
Presentation/visuals are stunning !! that'll keep you hooked to the game even though it may seem repetitive at times.
They should have just made a linear story driven sequel to future soilder. I would be interested
Dude practically every game these days is open-world, most of us are getting sick of it. Not every game has to be an open world game.
Future soldier was pretty terrible.
Shy Guy yea only companies that can REALLY do open world E.g Rockstar , should do open world.
Char Aznable L
Shy Guy I think they should have maybe made a open level game Hitman style but not open world. Made each mission really deep with tons of diffrent ways and situations.
It seems like this game could have been called "Content : hours of it".
ha
Ghost Content: Wild Goose Chace
The chopper spawns were simply beyond ridiculous.. lmao I have a whole reel of screenshots of terrible placements.
Played this with my buddy and man this was soo fun, I don't purchase many games day 1 but this is IT! Love the graphics on PC, and as always fantastic review. Your always first for some reason lol.
enjoy it sir
As always a very concise and fair review karak, I'm picking it up as I'm a ol Socom / rainbow six fan with group of friends to play with. Thank you for your hard work brotha!
thanks
I bought division after 1 year and a few months. 1st price has lowered and 2nd the game is actually fixed for the most part. I am enjoying it. Will do the same with Wildlands probably :)
Dubravko Čižmek what’s ya gamer tag,I’m bout to get back in the division.
the games a lot more fun if you turn the hud off
dylan cook 2 teammates and all of the hud turned off
dylan cook Good times
dylan cook Yeah, well at least turn off that bullshit red blobs that show where enemies are on minimap. Why even use the drone if you know someone's there
HUD off and difficulty high.
I'm just waiting for another GR game like Future Soldier...My buddies and I played so much PvP on that game. What do you think of future soldier?
aHairyWhiteGuy PvP is coming to this game too. it's just gonna be later
J Schecter I may actually buy it when that happens.
aHairyWhiteGuy I'm buying it tomorrow. The beta was a lot of fun with friends.
aHairyWhiteGuy Great game I still have a PS3 copy servers were still up in 2016.
J Schecter Nice man. Hopefully y'all have a good time!
Why have I not heard about this guy? Better review than any of those mainstream sites and channels.
Spread the word. One of the best reviewers and he's actually honest too.
I put in 20 hours in the open beta and I'm still eager for more. A few more hours til release :)
lol I'm playing right now
it's because of people like you ubishit continue to make these stale ass games.
popa chopa and it's because of people like you the gaming community complain like little bitches 🤔
popa chopa That's your opinion. If you consider the game shit more power to you. But not everyone is a sheep that's enjoys jumping on hate bandwagons.
popa chopa 😂 bro you could not seem like more of a bitch than the comment you just made.
Including that "fap fap fap" sounds
lol
ACG hey did u make a preview or anything for Lego worlds? honestly one of the better games I've played in 2 years of shit AAA titles. give some attention to this game if u havnt. u might like it too :b
+Mopeyhornet *Lego* Worlds? Lmao, what are you, 5? Yeah, The Witcher 3 was shit. Doom was shit. Obviously I can't think of many games that came out over the past two years or I would list more. Recently we've had many good games come out, especially in the PS4. Yet you're here talking about Lego Worlds. Lol.
TheRPGentleman wut...ok then what games are actually good
Witcher 3 is da bomb.
I'd suggest people just buy that on PC and group up on it rather than waste 50+ dollars/pounds on such a boring package.
jamal munir THIS! 🔥
The torture couple was pretty interesting if you listened to their tapes. I disagree.
It just reinforces how backwards Ubisoft's methodology is.
i found future soldier to linear for a ghost recon game
Always the first to review huh Karak ;)
apparently not lol
ACG Honestly it doesn't matter because you are one of the Very few reviewers i completely trust , Which is sadly very hard to do nowadays
Your reviews are amazing...I wish people would stop watching the crap on GS and IGN. Thanks.
GLAD YOU LIKE THEM
i fucking love this game, the only thing I have a problem with is sometimes the controls can feel clunky
they need bring back tom clancy's ghost recon 2001...was the best mp game ever luv it that game all time favorite
Basically reached the same conclusion after playing the beta. At first, my friends and I were having a pretty decent time. After a few hours we thought, "hmm, we kinda just played the whole game already huh?". Seems like a good back up game to play when you're looking to kill some time, but not fully commit to it.
Funny how the Beta actually did them more harm than good.
The realist reviewer so far today thank you.
THE REVIEW IVE BEEN WAITING FOR.
Blake Hendricks this, ko and aj
ko?
TheLegend27 ko gaming
"Makes Forest gump look like Stephen Hawking" @12:23 Lol that was hilarious.
Damn. The homies really want me to get this but I know I'm going to get bored with it fast. I think I'm just gonna buy Horizon: Zero Dawn for PS4 instead.
Chieff Rocka Wise choice.
Chieff Rocka You don't buy Horizon: Zero Dawn _instead_ , you buy it *regardless* :D
Chieff Rocka I have Horizon Zero Dawn and its really good so you should get it
chieff rocka just get the game u will not regret it trust me its awesome I am having a blast with it

your reviews are top quality, i still dont understand how you dont have more subs, def sharing this with my friends tbh

You rule. Cyber high five.
thanks man
This game is beautiful and it's not just me but raiding bases never gets old, the stealth element is extravagant, and the motorbike physics make the game so fun, and you don't go flying off the vehicle every five seconds, also anybody who doesn't have this game should get it now, the gold edition is 104 dollars but they have a gold sale on uPlay launcher only, and it's only 30 dollars.
but the question is, why UbiSoft continue to release unfinish games instead of postponing release date and finish it at least ≤90% and only then start working on patches and DLCs ?
This is the first review I’ve ever watched of yours and you are hilarious with your descriptions! I Will definitely check out more of your reviews! Keep up the great work!
thanks man
The only thing good about Ubisoft is that they usually let everyone play in an open beta before a big release. Nice of them to give people a chance to be smart and realize they probably should keep their money.
Basically the Mercenaries 3 we never got.
"Trees that were 10 feet apart, but apparently for him were a god damn minotaur maze" lmao
Tom Clancy's Final Fantasy XV
that's an insult to ff15. that game is much better thn this.
mariokarter13 nah final Fantasy 15 gets boring around the time you hit chapter 8 I ran out of shit to do plus I was like lvl 100
the updates fixed almost all these problems
Really?

MrRedUniverse no. Extremely repetitive.
You're so full of shit
Just bought it for $15aus never knew it was an open world game would of bought it on release I love open world games freedom
How did I not hear of ACG before? This guy tells it how it is.
glad you like the video Jordan
I stopped calling them "Tom Clancy's" a long time ago....I just call them the title that they are after that name. I can't stand Ubisoft for pulling this crap long after Mr. Clancy passed...they are scumbags and should only tag it onto a REALLY POWERFUL game...not just all the 'crap' they send out the pipes for us to play with....yeah, great analogy huh
when it comes to video games review, ACG is my go to guy. informative and unbiased review. not to add lightning quick review after game releases.
thanks van
ended up pre ordering Neir Automata over this.
Sebastian Gamez ew lmao
Sebastian Gamez smart choice :-D
Ew.
I cancelled my preorder of wildland after 15 mins playing the open beta.....and after the cancellation I actually forced myself to play two more hours to make sure the game is bad ..... oh yeah, the game is horrible ... and I just preordered Nier : )
Nier looks amazing.
not understanding the ew's.
I like open world and many options to approach enemies, so ill probably wait for mega sale to buy this, even then ill think about it cuz after all Ubisoft is shit
I'm still playing this 5 years later :)
This is a decent Mil-sim game and great Military "Barbie" game. Two third of my playtime is customizing my character's outfits and playing around with gunsmith.
Seems like a military GTA. On sale thinking of getting it
the whole "minotaur maze " comment. got you a subscriber! great review, bro! "impractical jokers, as well? legend!"
Nearlly every other review on RUclips is trying to pass GRW off as an excellent game, with 9s of 4.5s, how can they give such highscores for such a bland game?
because they didn't find it bland like I did
ACG Orr they just hype up games so we buy them, its a common thing with alot of RUclipsrs, they tell us all the good parts of the game while leaving out all the issues it has.
They came for a multiplayer mindless shooter. Kinda what this is. Which is why I'll pick it up with my buddies.
Ubisoft sponsoring the video in some way probably lol. A lot of people are too afraid to speak objectively about companies like Ubi, too. They'll stop sending free games to review and, GASP, you'd actually have to buy it.
no
After the huge disappointed that was The Division I'll skip and stick with Rainbow six siege.
Ben Dover Seige just got a bomb ass DLC with 2 new ops
Ben Dover Try WD2 it was a good game imo
andrewbayer17
We got it when it first released, we weren't really hyped for it so we weren't really disappointed..
Thanks for your audio analysis, very well done with addressing the ranges, layers and authenticity.
YOU BET
This game suffers fron Just Cause Syndrome.
TheAhmadtaker The thing is , Just Cause is actually fun.....
1 FPS? On what Potato are you playing?
It's terribly optimized on consoles. The game routinely drops into what seems to be low teens when lots of things are going on, which is often, because it's fun to blow shit up. On PC, I'm sure it was just fine.
Gavin Fulton unless it got a lot better than the beta an i5-4690k and gtx 1070 struggles with this game.
It's like playing first person shooter game in GTA IV form 🔥
lol poor bastard
Another bit of immersion breaking gameplay is that your teammates are sometimes immune to damage. For example, I stormed a prison and the enemy was lobbing mortars at me. I was under a rock ledge and wasn't getting hit, but my AI team was standing in the middle of the road taking mortar rounds to the noggin and nothing happened lol.
this game is amazing
Why?
Honestly, I simply love the game. Right up my street really :)
When it comes to open world mayhem games like this, just cause or far cry, I honestly don't think anything can beat the mercenaries series, that shit was the bomb (imo)
red dead redemption 2
is going to be 100% better
Nick K Not without Benzies on the dev team sadly :(
Only twice as good?
Nick K Hopefully there isn't going to be stupid X-ray vision and icons all over the map.
John Hamm yep
Even though those 2 games are completely different, i'm still gonna say *"HELL YEAH!"*

I_Am _Scorpio94 Totally agree! Such a poor game!
I really wanted this to have great single player. . *sigh
ubisoft's obsession with open world is ruining games. this would have been better as a deep linear storyline
This review was pretty amazing. First time I've seen this channel, but I'll be taking his advice and staying tuned for more. Thanks.
glad it helped you Markus
I'm glad I watched this video. I was interested in this game prior of its release but after skimming thru the video and listening to the overall of the game. I decided not to get it. Thank you for saving me my hard earned money.
