This video is the best advertising for custom fitting. This inspired me to save some money just to make a custom fitting possible. By the way, Marc can load a shaft!
i was pretty much the same as Marc. fitted for the first time Dec 2020. I was looking for consistency and height, not distance. Fitted for traditional lofted players irons. first round outside with them 76. first round out normally i would expect low 80s. i couldnt be happier with the clubs and excited to see how low i can go once all the rust comes off.
Many thanks for the vid Guys, I always enjoy watching a full detailed fitting as it shows how beneficial the correct specs can be. Although my numbers are far shorter, when I got fitted by Orka earlier this year my numbers showed a dramatic improvement in distance and dispersion by changing to a heavier shaft and changing to a 2deg flat lie angle from my previous 2deg upright lie. So the message is, "GO GET FIT" by someone who knows what they are doing.
Hi Jim, New to the channel and am enjoying your content. I have an older set of Nike Pro Combo irons with stiff flex. I’m getting a lot of shaft deflection causing draw/hook. I was thinking of getting fitted for new shafts and keeping my old heads. They’re traditional loft and distance has never been a problem. Do you ever fit people for iron shafts only? Or would you suggest looking into an new set all together? Thanks. Quincy
You mentioned a couple of times that he was getting those numbers with range balls. Since you fit in a net why not let the player hit the ball he plays with. I think you said he was carrying the 6 iron 200ish and the 4 iron 215ish. Is that a big enough gap? How far will the 5 go? Who makes the 902 clubs? Great video.
Normally golfers don’t bring enough but can test after the proper club found. The distances were close true. As he wasn’t hitting the 4 as well. As the rest when that happens the 4 will about 225
Awesome Content. Being another person to go through a fitting with Jim I can tell you that getting the right specs is very valuable. Thanks again Jim and Robin. Question: can you go through a putter grip comparison with different examples? I am looking for a square feel for my right hand while hitting a putt. Have a great Thanksgiving.
I agree with the comment below, Jim why don't you do the fitting with the ball the plays with? Other wise man I wish you were in my area for a fitting.
I know how the range ball will react compared to regular golf balls. The Range ball lasts much longer. The cost to have a variety of premium ball would up the cost of the fitting to an undesirable amount.
Please consider adding a lapel mic to your guest so those of us over 70 can hear the conversation. Also, did I miss something? You started out talking about wedges and then he started with an eight iron. Editing?

Bandit Baker Orlando is a good club to be sure
Very enjoyable! I don't know if I'd want a fitting or or Marc's swing. Thanks for another great video.
Marc age would be great!
@@McGolf Amen brother!
Great fitting and video. Mark sure has a nice swing. Would just love to see more fittings with golfers of all levels of skills.

Will do might be a pga show thing
Do you use a lie board or do the vertical mark on the ball for figuring out each clubs lie angle?
Jason Gordienko I use a board.
What grinds and bounces on the wedges did you fit him with?
it varied, the 50 was close to the irons about 8 where the SW was close to 10 and the LW is 14 (i think)

folks that want shafts get a regular fitting as it is not possible to test shafts with heads.
