There are no bad performances of a great song, only a performance we may not individually like. I would never classify any genre of country music as pop music. Maybe country pop of the 80s but I don't listen to any country music of today. But pop music has gotten better here in the 2010's since the 80s so far. Still not the best but its better than its been in the last 30 years. Indie music is just Independently distributed music....I think.
