If I'm lucky one to get this camera it will help me to learn more. Thanks❤️ I subscribed and comment from my three youtube channels.
I bought the Loupedeck about a month or so ago. It slowed me down at first, but after getting used to the location of the buttons and toggles etc I’m now editing faster. The downside, I feel, is that the product feels cheaper than it should for the price. Mainly the large dial for changing the crop. Clicking that in feels and sounds like a childs toy. Apart from this I’m glad to have it, but the quality and feel definitely needs to be looked at for the third iteration. Im a wedding and commercial photographer, just for anyone else who’s in a similar position.
If you know the tilt correction for most of your images just batch edit those settings. I have the same issue so before i even start i first correct this by syncing rotation transform settings to all my images. This way it doesnt effect crop and saves. The level setting does a good job too in most cases. I stopped turning midi knobs for rotation because it takes way more time in the end.
Hey Taylor. Ever heard of Motibodo? I’ve been rocking it for 8 years, and love it. No hardware, just brilliantly designed program that turns your keyboard into ergonomic and tactile editing software.
Hi Taylor. Love all your videos but if I am honest this doesn't look any faster or more efficient than using a mouse on the sliders. I appreciate you are making a video and talking to us but I notice you keep having to look down at the Loupedeck. I sit with my left hand hovering over the shift and alt keys and my right hand on the mouse and this works for me. Absolutely love the all day shoots!!!
Hi Taylor! Will you ever do a video about reviewing other photographers photos/websites? I would gladly send in my photos if you intend to do something like this
Hey! I did about 150 Patreon member sites over there early this year. Still recovering haha it’s like 7 hours or something crazy. There’s also a monthly image competition there, but not official feedback other than prizes
Ehh that depends on who you are. I'm using a camera from 2012 (Canon 6d), lenses from the 80s and 90s (Canon 35mm f1.4l and 85 f1.2l), my old gaming PC from 2013, and Photoshop and bridge CS6. I am not keeping up with anyone in terms of gear and software xD
@@cdavid119 well i mean, as a photographer, people expect you to know every camera and lens out there - Frequently get asked stuff like what do you think of x and x camera or x and x lens etc
@@Noealz Do you get asked that by clients or just random people? I've never had a client ask me anything about gear personally, family at weddings sometimes but only once or twice in my career really.
@Taylor: Did you experience quite a big lag when applying (your) presets? Whenever I'm changing e.g. the exposure or turn some other knob and than applying a preset instantly after that, I have to press multipe times on my "P" Buttons on the Loupedeck+ to apply the preset. The loupedeck software is writing on the screen, that the preset has been applied, but that's not the case... it's annoying... (I'm using Win10 and a very fast system, so no issues there ;) )
Hmm I didn't notice that. This was also tested on a MacBook Air (not super powerful, but solid state drive). In a usual editing session I would just import everything with the preset I expected to use, and let the previews load that way. Suspect that might remove any of that lag
Alright man..I gotta ask because I hear the fan spin up and stay there... what are you editing this on? A laptop? We gotta get you hooked up with a dedicated editing rig. Ryzen 1700x with 32Gb of DDR4 3200 will get you setup so that you're not waiting for the images to fully load.
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto thanks taylor as always. Btw I had some weird distortions in my wedding pictures with the z6. In the tree looked like there where some kind of distortion circles. Send it to Nikon support. They didn't have seen it before and now investigating this thing. was combined with the tamron 70-200. Just wanted to let you know that there is some kind of issue with tamron and z6 probably.
Hi :) You can activate the brush tool using one of the Loupedeck's buttons. You mark the area with your mouse, and then you can control the adjustments of the brush area using dials as well.
so do you still use this? i see Loupedeck seems to have made a marketing push around 4 years ago, but now theres almost NO videos on it since 4-5 years ago from anyone. Does anyone actually use these or did they just send it out to everyone to make a video about it?
Hey Taylor, I’ve always wanted one but I don’t know if I should put the money into this or a new lens. What do you think I should do buy the loupedeck or the lens?
Not sure what other lenses you have, and what kind of volume you're processing. I guess that's the downside of photography, that there are always new products to buy haha
P.S. This review unit will be available as a giveaway in Patreon in a few days!
ohhh. I want to win

I shot a wedding in Ravello Italy last year as well as engagement in Positano. I recognize some of the locations.

Haven't heard of it! I'll check it out though
Ugg stupid mac
I have one of these myself. It’s awesome and very reliable. It for sure speeds up work flow time. Besides, it makes work more fun!

cool stuff, but damn expensive!
My thought process is that if it saves you hours over the year, you're kind of just buying your time back.
The Loupedeck is nothing short of sweet dark sorcery...worth every single penny!
As a photographer, sometimes feels overwhelming how much gotta keep up with in terms of gear and software sometimes
True...

@@TaylorJacksonPhoto okay, thabks for your reply! Currently I'm also applying the preset directly at import...that's anyway the fastest way..
I'm annoyed that I just now discovered this hardware, and now it's discontinued. Are there any alternatives available these days?
I’m surprised it doesn’t have a dedicated knob for sharpness.
That MacBook is ready for takeoff lol 😂
Hahah MacBook Air life
Taylor Jackson haha that’s what i edit on sometimes and man it sounds like a jet engine
Hey Taylor. What can you tell people that own and are using the Palette controls? Worth switching? Have you used them before?

Hah 11inch Macbook Air from 2 or 3 generations ago!
You said you like to use Mexico or Subtle when there is a lot of greens, you feel like any other of your presets also works good with greens?
Are the dials backlit?
Nice
Different question, what was your camera for vacation ? I mean Not the z6/d850.
Canon RP for travel video/photos
I thought you had a fuji or Olympus some king - like your avatar?
Pascal Beekhuizen oh that’s from 2012. The XT3 is probably one of the best travel cameras out there tho

I used it a bit but I outsource my post production so it was never in heavy use long term sadly
