I like the sound of the scissors cutting any material! Great tutorial...so...I will subscribe! Thank you! I paid my way through college by sewing bags and selling them in NYC...way back in the 70's. Love this bag!
recently got into sewing with a 4423! kinda glad the pattern isn't free anymore cause it encouraged me to make the pattern myself! and you still give everything we need to just sketch out the pattern ourselves as well as show us how easy it can be by doing it free hand; over all a great success I also decided to do a bag lining instead of a bias tape or whatever that's called. this was my first creation! till now I've only been hemming up old stuff
Your editing is gorgeous! Bags seem intimidating bc I worry that mistakes will be more visible than on clothing, but having someone walk us through all the steps (and being super chill about it) is really nice. thank you!!
Awesome tutorial, thank you! Had to make mine a but shorter than I would have linked because the handles use up so much fabric, but its still cute. I made a lined version with a boxed bottom. Was struggling to find a lined version tutorial, so did it by making x2 of this bag with a slight seam allowance, dropping the lining bag in, hand stitching the wrong side bottom corners together so lining stays in place, turning the outside piece the right way and then folding the hem of each bag piece inwards and sewing together. Could have bias binded it instead but was saving the fabric for something else.
I FINALLY got my own sewing machine after finding you on tiktok a while ago. Im so excited to try this, im going to try and make it so there is a liner with a different pattern on the inside of the bag
Mate, you are a really good teacher/instructor. Thanks for all your youtube videos. I started sewing really late in life but I am loving it. Learning motivates me to enjoy life. Thanks again from Downunder.
I just made it with a lacy fabric from an old courtain and it turned out so pretty!!! I had to add the straps to the body of the bag cause my fabric was not big enought to cut just one pice, not as clean but works just fine. I mirrored the figure so I just cuted 2 pices for the straps, so back and front are from the same pice.
New Sub! New to sewing. Old to video production. Love the way your videos look. Top tier! I see how sewing is like video production. You're taking this raw material and magically transforming it into something special. I'm following you on this new sewing adventure of mine.
WOAW I found ur channel last year, and look at it NOW it GREW so much!!! Plenty content to find about sewing, style, fashion.. ur channel inspired me a lot and helped me through my process! soon I will definitely sew this Tsuno bag and will share it online once It's Finished.
Most tutorials to do with sewing is done by women and I thank you for helping me learn how to begin my new hobby sometimes it's better for guys to teach guys how to start a new hobby
thanks for the tutorial, def gonna try this out! also, what's the point of the bias tape? like can we fold the inside edge over and sew on top of that? or will it not stretch enough when we tie the bag?
Good point, yeah you could fold the edge in. Pros and cons to both. Bias tape is more work but creates a more rigid bag. Also really useful for hiding edges if you don't have a serger and don't want a raw edge on inside. Alternatively you could just serge or fold the edge inside itself and sew that down. That definitely works too.
Thinking about going back into sewing.. i just should have go to designer school as my teacher told me back in the day.. but its never too late to start .. 😌
I just got into your videos! They are awesome, I only need to learn now how to convert inches to cm... its hard for me to understand the inches. You are amazing teacher! Good luck! Thank you!
I'm thinking to make the knot on the front or back maybe just a few inches, then stick some stitches in there? What say you who can't where it on top of shoulder ?
I really like this bag. Great tutorial! I think I may try lined and topstitched to avoid the bias tape. I sew a lot, but the making of bias tape drives me nuts. I can do it, I just prefer to avoid it.
Fortunately, the body of the bag is super simple. Unfortunately, applying the bias tape is the more difficult task and he doesn't go over that part. I destroyed the bag with my bias tape application 🤣 wish I would have lined and top stitched.
I would find a local print shop and see if they can print it true to scale. In the UK it cost me £4.5o to print it on an A0 size sheet of paper. (33 inches by 46 inches approx)
I love your videos man! I'm planning on making this bag with my midweight Japanese stretch denim fabric (Cotton 55% + Polyethyene 42% + Polyurethane 3%). Would you happen to have any tips on sewing this bag with this fabric? This would be my first ever project, so any pointers would be much appreciated
That should be comparatively easy to sew given the contents despite being stretchy. I'd just get some medium size (I think it's like 80/12? that should be a good size for denim) ball point needles, as those tend to work better with stretchy fabrics. Also, best advice I can give for stretch fabrics is use fresh needles (they technically have an 8 hr lifespan, but... who does that even though it makes a difference), check the grains of your fabric, if you cut one piece on the straight grain and another on the bias and try to sew them together... it's gonna be harder because they'll be pulling at different rates, pin or clip beforehand, go slowly. For god's sake press the fabric before and after sewing. I never used to do that but it's SO MUCH EASIER to work with. Clean the inside of your machine (unless it's brand new, this should be done every 5 bobins but again... who does that). Sewing is a lot like dealing with cats. You don't train them, you take preventative measures.

Must be a popular bag Rn. This other YT literally posted the same thing today. I may try this out.
yeah, the trend started from a brand called ground cover when they released their tsuno bag last year but it’s super expensive

Exactly what I was planning to sew. Good timing, thanks 🙏🔥
Thank you!! Your tutorials are the absolute best.
I've improvised something like this using a shemagh. Such a simple thing can be very handy indeed.

Why?
I improvised a slightly different bag from this idea, thanks for the inspiration!
Love this tutorial, great. Thank you for made this
Big ups to you!! Loved following along.
I just made two of them and they came out great!! thanks so much dude
Love the style idea🔥🔥
I love how you create items that do not need an extra overlocker machine 🙌🏻

@@GloryAllan i got a tactical bag "fetish" xD.. but most bags got at least one thing i dont like.. time to make my own .. xD
great instruction vid!
Can I just use cotton for the fabric?
The bias tape maker is dope! I’m definitely getting a set. Ps. We need to talk about your fear of pins bro
amazing work 👌🏼
Making this right now!! Thanks for the pattern and vid!
hey man, i can’t really read the measurements from the website’s photo :(
This is amazing!
You make it look so easy!! I hope to be on your same level one day. I was just wondering where did you purchase your fabric from?!
Are you saying it’s 60 inches long by half of yard when unfolded? Or 16 inches long by half of yard when unfolded?
60 i think
Use your noggin it’s 60
Great video! Just a doubt: did you put the bias tape in which curve? In the internal one or the outside one?
Another question oops, could this work as a cross body bag? Shoulder bags actually hurt my shoulders too much
So does bias tape is sewn on the outside? not the inside like the rest of the bag?
If we wanted to keep the top connected or not tied would just connect the pattern together or sew the straps??
Yey. Finally!! I was waiting for this. Thanks, man.
Amazing inspiring information. Thanks Glory
I hope there will be metric measurement later.
I just got into your videos! They are awesome, I only need to learn now how to convert inches to cm... its hard for me to understand the inches. You are amazing teacher! Good luck! Thank you!
Bias tape is essential
I love to sew, but never knew about those handy bias tape makers. Those are a game changer for sure. Just subscribed.
Such a game changer. Very useful tools for bags and garments as well when you want to cover an edge
Yo, this is the best bag I have ever seen.
Can I sew and sell these bags?
Loved it!
I saw Creators on the Rise featured on my homepage and was like wait I recognize that guy from Instagram! Congrats man
🙏🏻🙏🏻thank you!!!
I just want to thank you.
Should we sew the bias tape to the ends of the straps separately or do one continuous stitch and just fold it over when we get to the end of a strap?
Thats fire, make a video on how to make some streetwear tees, or anything like that
Q so how u wash the new fabric in a sock bag?
man you are the GOAT!!!
Look super cool beginner project, I can't wait to try it!
🙂❤️it! New subbie, from Chicago.
Hi thanks for the valuable information! Like the bicep tool where can i buy?
If we wanna make a bigger bag , any suggestions on scaling the pattern?
Doing this!! Thanks
for those who already tried it, please How many meter of fabric we needs
I haven’t found the free pattern where is it?
and "sew" on and so forth 🔥
😂 the sewing puns are never ending
I'm thinking to make the knot on the front or back maybe just a few inches, then stick some stitches in there? What say you who can't where it on top of shoulder ?
i'm so excited i really want to try it, just where can we find the pattern to download it? thanks
Links to download this pattern are in the video description 😊
awesome thank you- great bag
Very nice video. Where is that pegboard from? Can’t find the color. Thanks!
Great video, just a note, given RUclips is world wide, that most of the world uses metric, and has no idea what inches and yards are.
I use inches 😊
Google is also worldwide...it easily converts measurements.

better audio on that snip snip bro!
Scissor noise is ultimate ASMR !
dope stuff, I appreciate you!
LOL thanks. I actually plan on doing a little scissor comparison of my old vs new, hyperfocus on the sound again.
I have the pdf but how do I print it in real size? It comes out on one page
I would find a local print shop and see if they can print it true to scale. In the UK it cost me £4.5o to print it on an A0 size sheet of paper. (33 inches by 46 inches approx)
Is there any specific name for the cloth?
I’m with you on that😁
Can you do this with denim
How much fabric is needed for the bias tape??

Sounds awesome. Tbh I'm not a fabric expert but you should be ok!
