I made this bag from your video. I added some iron-on interfacing to the outer fabric (canvas part) so the bag would stand up. It turned out very nice. Thank you!

thank you for great instructions My bag I did 40cm x 38 cm with grey canvas sides and black vynal front and back and tie at the top ? I put a pocket each side inside no zipper as that was a bit challenging for me? I also put a strap over top and a big round handmade clasp?I will put a pic on my F.B page if you want a look ? I like big bags

I want a bigger bag so I liked ur measurements but how much longer are your side pieces for ur handle
@@stararobinson2427 hi I did the side15cm wide and 2x95cm I joined at bottom so about 190cm all up? Across bottom 40 cm then cut out corners and i did 38cm down but cut 2nm off each side of top just like the video ?hope this explains it good luck Stara

Great pattern. I made that from the short version video. 12 oz can as is hard to get where i live, but deko fabric does the job. But with an enforced bottom the bag would be nicer. Any suggestions?

Cute. You can use a swatch of genuine leather for the handle grip.
Get split grain leather. Its easier to sew with a dressmakers machine.

i love this!! but why arent there darts on the bottom of the bag on the corners? shouldnt there be darts there because the fabric goes at an angle?

Can you make it out of cotton and linen fabric with fleece or interfacing on?
Yes, you can use cotton or linen fabric with interfacing on instead of canvas fabric.
Could do that with a longer handle so it's easy to put cross body. And maybe a zip instead of those magnetic snaps.

Do you have to use canvas fabric
I use canvas because the fabric is thicker than other fabrics and gives the bag more shape.

how length of fabric do you need for this bag? (in meters)
If your fabric is 60" wide you will use only 1/2 meter of fabric, but if your fabric is 45" wide you will need almost 1 meter of fabric.

ใช้ผ้าคอตต้อนก็ได้ค่ะ เพียงแต่อาจจะทิ้งตัวเยอะหน่อยเพราะผ้าค่อนข้างบาง แต่ทั้งนี้สามารถรีดดามด้วยผ้ากาวก่อนก็จะช่วยทำให้อยู่ตัวมากขึ้นค่ะ

What's the material used as lining?
I use calico fabric as lining anyway you can use cotton fabric instead.
