Its not a bad thing to me. Seeing as the consoles are hard to find, going for 2-4× the price online and are some are even crashing it makes waiting for gen 2 even easier if there was a must play next gen only game I would be dying to buy one.

I think people like myself had a different expectation of what sea of thieves was once I got over that I truly appreciate the relaxed yet exciting gameplay
It's a shame there aren't any proper next gen games available on the system. I got my Series X on Tuesday and absolutely love it but it would be nice to have had a game actually built for the system to play on it. That being said, there is a wealth of content available and being a Game Pass subscriber I have way more quality content than I have time to play (and jumping back into the Witcher 3 which now runs at a pretty solid 60fps is fantastic). In terms of launch games I've been enjoying the most - going by your definition but ignoring the arbitrary digital exclusion - I've been really enjoying Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
I may have missed a trick here, but seeing as MS is trying to push a digital platform for games it seems strange to exclude digital only games. Enlisted for example, I'd see that as a launch title

I've only played one of the Xbox Series X launch games so far, so my answer would be that; Yakuza: Like A Dragon. Admittedly, I've been having a ton of fun with it and I'm glad to see others have been enjoying it a lot as well. Great video with tons of witty jokes introducing each game. A shame to hear that Falconeer has the problems it does, as I was curious about both it and Forza Horizon 4 (lack of funds kept my launch games down to just Yakuza and Bright Memory), though it sounds like Forza Horizon 4 would have been a great way for me to try out non-kart based racing games. Also, as for the 13:29 question, I happen to be a non-Gears fan who got an Xbox One. I was somewhat tempted by Gears of War 4 but never did end up getting it. My Xbox One purchase back in the day was based on my hype for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, Sunset Overdrive, Ori and the Blind Forest and... Fable Legends (it's cancellation still stings). On that note, looking forward to the new Fable.
As the overall games-backlog is getting bigger and bigger each year I am even happy that there are not that much "new" games. I am fully happy with Gears Tactics and the possibility to play Fable 3 (first time running really smooth on XBox Series S/X) and Dragon Age Inquisition with way shorter loading times :D

The digital? I doubt we will b getting slim models ....unless they take out some of the bang and at that pt why get it. This system is so powerful...they are already loosing a chunk of money by only selling this system for 500. I don't see them making several other models like in the past.

I’ll never understand why game critics rarely give a game anything below a 60. They’re not even using half of their rating scale, and yet anything below a 75 typically isn’t considered worth anybody’s time.

I get that the Dirt section had to make some series number jokes, but it does make sense in the end. The Dirt series was split up into different segments, the games simply titled Dirt with a number after it are part of the multi-vehicle/discipline offroad racing series with more of an arcade physics engine. The serious simulation physics games were spun-off into Dirt Rally and then you have Dirt Showdown, which was more of an arcade racer with heavy online features and its gameplay is now kind of folded into the numbered Dirt games with Dirt 5. It's confusing but it does make more sense than the name scheme used by Xbox so far.
Btw, does Call of duty black ops cold war on PS5 requires you to install the campaign separately like on PS4? Even with a physical copy? Modern Warfare 2019 didn't do this.

I'm all for backwards compatibility but it has ruined the selection of launch titles. Once upon a time, except for a couple sports titles, everything was a new game not found on older consoles. Those were the days.
I'm one of those who have grown sick of the Assassin's Creed franchise in the past few games. I totally understand why they've tried to innovate and change the game, and I don't want to criticise them for trying to freshen things up, but it feels less like Assassin's Creed and more like Warrior's Creed these days. There's very little assassinating, most of that has now been replaced with a lot of hacking and slashing, like a hundred other modern day action RPGs. Taking a stealth approach is now largely redundant cos you can thrust your hidden blade into an NPCs neck and have them basically laugh it off if their character level is too high. Personally I think a blade through the windpipe should kill practically any enemy in an AC game, regardless of their level. I guess if people want to play a very good looking but inferior version of Witcher 3 then they'll likely enjoy these games quite a lot. But I played AC games for the sneaking, hidden blades, assassinating and parkour'ing around historical cities, and that's not what its really about now. Last one I really enjoyed was Assassin's Creed Syndicate, for all its flaws.
What PCs could do 6 or 7 years ago? What? Don't remember pcs from 2014 having 12 tflops, raytracing, gddr5, gen4 ssds, zen 2 Ryzen cpus etc. Also where is quick resume on pc? I'd love that feature.
@@Gruntvc I'm also really surprised at how small it actually is. The One X does look really good too and more of what I'd think of when picturing a console. I tend to enjoy the minimalist style the Xbox has gone with for a while now, over outlandish design. Fits into a lot of different spaces easily, visually speaking.
Sitting here Listening to this while playing No Man's Sky Been playing since the day it launched on PS4 and have loved it since literal day one. It has improved so much and deserves every bit of love it is getting nowadays.

The sheer dearth of anything interesting that’s actually new on this launch for an Xbox console is pathetic. What like over 70% of the games listed are updated last Gen games? Nothing in this launch is a console seller they’re entirely relying on brand loyalty.

You’re not wrong (and this is coming from a pretty huge Xbox fan), but I think with Halo being delayed they had to put all their chips in with pushing how good the backwards compatibility is, and of course Game Pass. Gears Tactics (yeah it’s on XB1 as well, and PC earlier this year) is a really great game to launch with, but there aren’t any system sellers. I think that goes to Game Pass which is a huge draw for lots of people. The big games (From Obsidian, Turn 10, Playground, Initiative etc) will come though, it’s just bad timing that they’re not here at launch.
@@tripprowe1695 I mean that’s a bit much. What studios *should* even be ready? Obsidian released a game in 2019, as did Coalition, inXile just released Wasteland, Playground started a brand new studio for Fable in like 2017, ditto Initiative in 2018. It would’ve been great to have Turn 10 be ready for launch but it looks like they’re really focusing on the new generation. Horizon 4 is getting ongoing support. Rare having Everwild (or something else) ready at launch would be probably the only realistic choice but being that Sea of Thieves is as successful as it is, it’s not really of much surprise. They’ve really only started this studio growth in the last 3 years, and game development takes a long time. 🤷♂️
I don't understand the hate for borderlands 3. I think it's amazing and its exactly what I wanted ...more of the same. That's why the borderlands series is so amazing . It's not gonna give u some random new crap. Grt control, grt graphics, a. solid story and awesome weapons with plenty of added dlc

Literally these are all last gen games Im not a playstation fanboy btw, both consoles are near and dear to my heart, it just breaks my heart that Xbox is slowing fading away, they really need a comeback or else they’ll end up like sega. I grew up with the og xbox, I never really had a playstation until the playstation 3. During the last generation I started moving over to playstation because xbox didn’t really have any insane exclusives that made me wanna buy that console, I mean playstation had uncharted, ratched and clank, god of war, last of us, infamous, bloodborne, gravity rush, horizon zero dawn, spiderman, ghost of tsushima, little big planet, and the first couple shadowfall games to name a few, what does xbox have dying halo and ori, thats it. There is nothing that makes me wanna get an xbox, it truly breaks my heart to see a once great gaming giant die.
Both PS5 and Xbox Series X's launch lineups aren't impressive. Points to Microsoft for allowing 4 gens of Xbox games to be playable on one new console. Meanwhile Sony be like, "backwards compatibility with PS1, PS2, and PS3 games? What's that!?" PS3 was better.
I don't think there are actually that many people wanting a PS5 to play PS2 or PS3 games, I could be wrong. I know it doesn't interest me, in happy with ps4 games running on it
Whats the point in this console??? Xbox always grabbed me but since its crappy slim selection of xbox one exclusives its totally lost my interest. I wont be buying this new console unless it churns out some serious quality exclusives not rehashes of old games
On next gen 2k21 thats actually a terrible choice to critic it based on xbox one reviews. Next gen is a different game from current gen, but funny enough if they don’t patch it i wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up with a lower score

bl3 sucks eggs bro, its such a step down form BL2 they spunked their hand with legendarys, a world drop from every other mob makes farming specific bosses for their items obsolete. they took bl2 end game that kept a surprisingly large regular player base for 7 (SEVEN) years in a mostly single player game and binned it for for world drops :(
I don't want to be a downer but has anyone else noticed how much more negative these videos have been over the last few months? I know a lot of the time it is tongue in cheek but I find myself having to switch them off early these days. I will still try and support them and Cultaholic where I can but I'm trying to stay away from as much negativity as possible at the moment. It's a real shame but I guess it's just a reflection on how this year has been over all

What PCs could do 6 or 7 years ago? What? Don't remember pcs from 2014 having 12 tflops, raytracing, gddr5, gen4 ssds, zen 2 Ryzen cpus etc.

I gotta admit, the new Xbox's aesthetic is great. The PS5 looks like it's trying to be some sort of futuristic tesla coil.
Its basically two GameCube stacked together. A lot smaller than I thought it was gonna be too.
I still think Xbox One X looked better aesthetically.
@@Gruntvc I'm also really surprised at how small it actually is. The One X does look really good too and more of what I'd think of when picturing a console. I tend to enjoy the minimalist style the Xbox has gone with for a while now, over outlandish design. Fits into a lot of different spaces easily, visually speaking.

The sheer dearth of anything interesting that’s actually new on this launch for an Xbox console is pathetic. What like over 70% of the games listed are updated last Gen games?

But like. Watchful Dogs Legion, Valhalla. Those aren’t even exclusives. Nothing in this launch is a console seller they’re entirely relying on brand loyalty.
Oh. Also Devil May Cry and Forza. Again not new games. Best version of good games? Sure. But not new games. So for new games...what, the Falconeer and Yakuza? Lol
You’re not wrong (and this is coming from a pretty huge Xbox fan), but I think with Halo being delayed they had to put all their chips in with pushing how good the backwards compatibility is, and of course Game Pass. Gears Tactics (yeah it’s on XB1 as well, and PC earlier this year) is a really great game to launch with, but there aren’t any system sellers. I think that goes to Game Pass which is a huge draw for lots of people.
The big games (From Obsidian, Turn 10, Playground, Initiative etc) will come though, it’s just bad timing that they’re not here at launch.
Yeah this launch lineup is absolutely pathetic. Even with Halo they should be ashamed of themselves for not having anything else ready.

Obsidian released a game in 2019, as did Coalition, inXile just released Wasteland, Playground started a brand new studio for Fable in like 2017, ditto Initiative in 2018. It would’ve been great to have Turn 10 be ready for launch but it looks like they’re really focusing on the new generation. Horizon 4 is getting ongoing support. Rare having Everwild (or something else) ready at launch would be probably the only realistic choice but being that Sea of Thieves is as successful as it is, it’s not really of much surprise. They’ve really only started this studio growth in the last 3 years, and game development takes a long time. 🤷♂️
I don't understand the hate for borderlands 3. I think it's amazing and its exactly what I wanted ...more of the same. That's why the borderlands series is so amazing . It's not gonna give u some random new crap. Grt control, grt graphics, a. solid story and awesome weapons with plenty of added dlc

Im not a playstation fanboy btw, both consoles are near and dear to my heart, it just breaks my heart that Xbox is slowing fading away, they really need a comeback or else they’ll end up like sega. I grew up with the og xbox, I never really had a playstation until the playstation 3. During the last generation I started moving over to playstation because xbox didn’t really have any insane exclusives that made me wanna buy that console, I mean playstation had uncharted, ratched and clank, god of war, last of us, infamous, bloodborne, gravity rush, horizon zero dawn, spiderman, ghost of tsushima, little big planet, and the first couple shadowfall games to name a few, what does xbox have dying halo and ori, thats it. There is nothing that makes me wanna get an xbox, it truly breaks my heart to see a once great gaming giant die.

Points to Microsoft for allowing 4 gens of Xbox games to be playable on one new console.

Whats the point in this console??? Xbox always grabbed me but since its crappy slim selection of xbox one exclusives its totally lost my interest. I wont be buying this new console unless it churns out some serious quality exclusives not rehashes of old games
On next gen 2k21 thats actually a terrible choice to critic it based on xbox one reviews. Next gen is a different game from current gen, but funny enough if they don’t patch it i wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up with a lower score

bl3 sucks eggs bro, its such a step down form BL2 they spunked their hand with legendarys, a world drop from every other mob makes farming specific bosses for their items obsolete. they took bl2 end game that kept a surprisingly large regular player base for 7 (SEVEN) years in a mostly single player game and binned it for for world drops :(
I don't want to be a downer but has anyone else noticed how much more negative these videos have been over the last few months? I know a lot of the time it is tongue in cheek but I find myself having to switch them off early these days. I will still try and support them and Cultaholic where I can but I'm trying to stay away from as much negativity as possible at the moment. It's a real shame but I guess it's just a reflection on how this year has been over all

Both xbox and playstation had such a poor lineup in thin launch. Maybe it was because of covid, but there is no real reason to anyone buy a new console right now beside showing up i guess.
