If I had to describe Xbox exclusives over the years in one word, it would be "varied." We got so many unique and different games over the years. Some were hit or miss, some were really good, others wete disappointing. But the lack of exclusives for the Xbox One and Series X/S compared to the 360 and OG was kinda saddening to see. So many were great, just not all of them though.
You see so many people disappointed with Xbox these days despite having a really cool consoles themselves. Meanwhile people are clowning on Nintendo for having a weak console but are still bringing in the big bucks with their IPs and exclusives. Imagine if Xbox had exclusives from Nintendo and Nintendo had a powerful console like Xbox had. It would be the best of both worlds but we all know that Nintendo would never do this unless they were selling the company.
I can understand them not making as many games because game development is so much harder these days, but at the same time they have a bunch of good studios at their disposal and unlimited Microsoft money. At the very least they can up the quality of their few titles. More things like Starfield may get them a foot back in the console race.

Great video! I strongly feel Microsoft is slowly returning to its competitive days of releasing more exclusive content. 2010-2020 was a dark age for Microsoft due to becoming complacent with the latter half of the 360 era. I'm excited for Hellblade 2, Avowed, and a few other games lined up for 2024!
Such a shame was the Xbox one. The 360 was such a legendary time (aside from the RROD) and they squandered all of it with that terrible 2013 launch that they have not since recovered from..
People have mentioned other titles, but megami tensei nine was an exclusive not only to the original xbox, but the japanese region as well. Never received an english translation and is a bit of a forgotten title.
The only consolation I can give the Xbox One is that it did in fact outsell Nintendo’s worst selling console in the company’s history: the dreaded Wii U. Other than that the Xbox One will be Microsoft biggest mistake and downfall from grace from their Xbox 360 days.
For me, modern consoles have lost their charm. Modern Xbox has everything also on PC for me to enjoy now. And Sony now has all their major IPs there too now that Ratchet and Clank, the last exclusive 1st party IP has made the jump. I'm not complaining since more people can enjoy the games I love this way, but Nintendo hardware is the only one with incentive to buy now since great ones like Xenoblade, Zelda and others are still fully exclusive and not just "console exclusive" like Microsoft and Sony's offerings.
Honestly Banjo-Kazooie N&B isn't as bad as people make it out to be, it was all because of one JonTron video that the game gets a lot of negative attention. Don't get me wrong, JonTron seems like a cool dude and I find his videos entertaining, but I feel that his video on Nuts & Bolts he was a bit too critical with the game and that people, and even those who most likely haven't tried the game yet, just blindly jump to his video when talking about 'bad' Banjo-Kazooie games.
R Racing Revolution was released simultaneously on PS2 and GC.... I also wonder about the Tecmo Classic Arcade and Silent Scope Complete games, since they were just based off earlier PS2 versions. Also, Xyanide came to PS2 and PSP a little after the Xbox launch... by that logic MGS2 Substance also fits the bill, since I think it was exclusive on Xbox for a while before arriving on PS2. Also missing Metal Wolf Chaos, the best exclusive. Obviously great video and since I don't know a lot about Xbox so I learned a lot. I'm amazed that Culdcept of all things somehow made its way to the Xbox.
Excellent video mate!! I was such a big Xbox fan when the first Xbox and halo came out and I played it in me and all my buddies were completely blown the fuck away(every single weekend) with that never ending, amazing amount of fun game!! Then, the Xbox 360 came and I’ll be honest, there’s a part of me that will say right away that the Xbox 360 is my favorite game console of all time but at the same time I have some others that might be a tie it’s just that the Xbox 360 did so many awesome things as well as it was such a new and unique gaming experience? Kind of like everything Sony did but with a little bit of Nintendo mixed in and its own personal spin on things and it just felt perfect! Playing the first Mass Effect when it was exclusive to the Xbox 360 when it first came out was witnessing what we thought at the time was going to be the consul to kill/dethrone Sony?? Fast forward to the Xbox one and even the new series consoles and the best thing I like about Xbox now is the controller and the interface/UI.. Game pass is cool and a great deal for consumers, however it will lower the quality of gaming and big party games going forward the same thing happened to the movie industry after Netflix came to fruition and all the other subscription television services followed.. Game pass it’s a double edge sword where it’s really good on one hand, but it also is really bad on the other.. hi, not to mention the fact that when you have too many options, a stagnation sets in.. you become bored and flustered because you had so much endless choice, it deprive you of being able to experience something truly good even if you got to experience it you don’t know how good it is because you have so many options that are muddying the waters- With Game Pass and Xbox is “play anywhere“ ideology, they’ve kind of put their own foot in their own mouth and by the day and time we reach where there is no more Xbox consoles, I am not going to game console gaming on my phone I’m just not going to do that, I’ll quit playing games all together- So while they’re telling us that things are changing for the better, understand this very one important thing: They’re changing for the worse also!!
Man Xbox exclusives in the 2000's were bangers...now in the 2010's & early 2020's its been somewhat lackluster. I would LOVE my own Xbox exclusive game someday.
I'm half way through video atm and, if I'm not mistaken, you have already left out Dead Rising and Mass Effect. I think its also worth mentioning games like COD 2 and Bioshock which, while they were on PC, were NOT on Playstation or Nintendo. I mean, those are Xbox's real competitors right? In any case, 2007/08 particularly was an incredible time to be a 360 owner.
I’ve run all the way to the comments to mention how a decent chunk of the exclusive original Xbox games cannot be replayed today. Jet set radio future, whacked, toe jam 3, and a few others can’t be played anywhere at all unless you go buy a 20 year old original Xbox and grab a low quality tv AND order a copy of the game disk to be mailed to you. Someone should really do something about that!
Man I'm glad to see quantum redshift, chase Hollywood stunt driver, and midtown madness 3, get mentioned! Probably three of the most underrated racing games!
Whoa, whoa. Rocket Sloth, hold up, Crimson Skies, High Road to Revenge was a sequel to Crimson Skies? I can't find the original online, am I missing something here?
I got my Xbox 2002. My last Xbox was the xbox360s, it was a Christmas gift. My first PC was a Sager dx4 100. I purchased it 1995. Microsoft really disappointed me. I switched to MAC 2016. Full auto was actually pretty fun back in the day. I still have a magicman account to have all the vehicles and weapons unlocked
Azurik... that's a name I have not heard in a long time.
Same with Nightcaster. Had no idea they had a sequel.
Missing tons of 360 games. Velvet Assassin, Splinter Cell Conviction, Akai Katana, Raiden IV, Deathsmiles, otomedius excellent, Rumble Roses XX etc...
I didn't even realize Ace Combat 6 was a 360 exclusive. It's the only AC I've played until 7 and I played a ton of it growing up.
I didn’t either
You forgot jade empire (2005) & mtg battleground (2003)
Also morrowind was technically an exclusive
People always forget that Pyschonauts 2 came out on ps4
I wish we had more Xbox 360 games for backwards compatible?
I'd like to see more original Xbox titles on thd back-compat list as well, such as Arx Fatalis, Blood Wake, Crimson Sea, etc..
Why did you phrase that as a question?
No Oblivion,Mass Effect,Bioshock,Morrowind,Phantom Dust,Jade Empire, The KOTOR games, SW Republic Commando, Doom 3 and its expansion, Thief Deadly Shadows,Arx Fatalis ,Alan Wake, Titanfall, Witcher 2,Condemmned and more. Cmon you missed many
No mention of Ninja Gaiden before Black, Jade Empire, KOTOR 1 and 2, Morrowind, Morrowind re-release with Bloodmoon/Tribunal expansion, Condemned, Alan Wake, Armed And Dangerous, Phantom Dust, and Dead Rising
I’m surprised he didn’t mention the Gunk as that was a Microsoft Exclusive correct ?
Great video! I strongly feel Microsoft is slowly returning to its competitive days
of releasing more exclusive content. 2010-2020 was a dark age for Microsoft due to becoming complacent with the latter half of the 360 era. I'm excited for Hellblade 2, Avowed, and a few other games lined up for 2024!
My guy just glossed over Lost Odessy, unique for having FOUR game discs and being the single best jrpg for that generation. Fact.
Man I do miss these 😢
Such a shame was the Xbox one. The 360 was such a legendary time (aside from the RROD) and they squandered all of it with that terrible 2013 launch that they have not since recovered from..
Yup you got that right. Ever since the Xbox one launched in 13 something just hasn't felt right. It was a bad launch and it never recovered.
12:42 Bro did not pronounce Samus like that 💀
sawmus
My guy never mentioned Oddworld Stranger's Wrath. That's a certified hood classic right there
Been ported to a lot of consoles though
Honestly Banjo-Kazooie N&B isn't as bad as people make it out to be, it was all because of one JonTron video that the game gets a lot of negative attention. Don't get me wrong, JonTron seems like a cool dude and I find his videos entertaining, but I feel that his video on Nuts & Bolts he was a bit too critical with the game and that people, and even those who most likely haven't tried the game yet, just blindly jump to his video when talking about 'bad' Banjo-Kazooie games.
It's bad because it's not Banjo Kazooie. If it had been a new IP nobody would have cared.
It baffles me that you guys forgot about Hi-Fi Rush, seriously, that game has pure old school Xbox energy... 😢
Looks like a mobile game I’m sick of hearing about it tbh.
@@residentsteveterrible taste
@@georgie9303 nope just a different taste, been playing streets of rage 4 a lot recently it’s amazing.
Not an Xbox exclusive anymore
Booooo
You did a great job on this video. You brought back a lot of beautiful memories. It’s sad to see what the Xbox has become today 😢
great vid.
Looking forward to your follow-up "Every Playstation Exclusive EVER" 14 hour video extravaganza. 😊
Are most of these exclusives pretty obtainable? Like not too expensive?
This is why I still have my original Xbox and 360. Sold my Xbox one long ago, and haven’t bought Xbox since.
You forgot Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind for the original Xbox.
Sad to see Voodoo Vince not mentioned in the xobx section maybe you mention it in the xbox one when it got remade
Sad No Voodoo Vine
Man, the nostalgia this video brought...
Could've at least shown a 10 sec clip of each game instead of just screenshots from the website
Game pass it’s a double edge sword where it’s really good on one hand, but it also is really bad on the other.. hi, not to mention the fact that when you have too many options, a stagnation sets in.. you become bored and flustered because you had so much endless choice, it deprive you of being able to experience something truly good even if you got to experience it you don’t know how good it is because you have so many options that are muddying the waters-
With Game Pass and Xbox is “play anywhere“ ideology, they’ve kind of put their own foot in their own mouth and by the day and time we reach where there is no more Xbox consoles, I am not going to game console gaming on my phone I’m just not going to do that, I’ll quit playing games all together-
So while they’re telling us that things are changing for the better, understand this very one important thing:
They’re changing for the worse also!!
Awesome video. Can you do every single playstation exclusive next?
No mention of Airforce Delta Storm. Truly the forgotten original exclusive OG Xbox game.
Very fun game
Man Xbox exclusives in the 2000's were bangers...now in the 2010's & early 2020's its been somewhat lackluster. I would LOVE my own Xbox exclusive game someday.
The early 2010's were still alright, once the Xbox One was in full swing it took a nose dive.
That's why it's so important to restart the back-compat program.
I really like to play more OG Xbox games on Xbox One?
Are you really asking us this?
Man I'm glad to see quantum redshift, chase Hollywood stunt driver, and midtown madness 3, get mentioned! Probably three of the most underrated racing games!
They forgot the chronicles of Riddick for the Xbox one and it's sequel for the 360.😢
im just adding one more game that was very underrated and it was fusion frenzy 1 on og xbox
No mention of fusion frenzy is criminal
I cant believe you forgot NINJA GAIDEN. That game blew my mind as a kid, still to this day one of the hardest games I've ever played.
No he didn’t, it was on there
@@Gawlakman Yup, you're right
Whoa, whoa. Rocket Sloth, hold up, Crimson Skies, High Road to Revenge was a sequel to Crimson Skies? I can't find the original online, am I missing something here?
Amazing video. Can't imagine how much dificulty you had to do it. Congratulations.
I got my Xbox 2002. My last Xbox was the xbox360s, it was a Christmas gift.
My first PC was a Sager dx4 100. I purchased it 1995.
Microsoft really disappointed me. I switched to MAC 2016. I used to be a Tutor, I've tutored over 400.
It would be interesting to see what the Xbox evolves to. My ultimate favorite game is the splinter cell series.
For the PC it was "Rise of The Triads"!
Jesus this gen for Xbox really has gotten nothing lol why do Xbox players always say PlayStation doesn’t have games but we gotten so many triple A exclusives already for PS since ps5 launch
Damn, no mention of Hi-Fi Rush?
