That's why they said talent over fundamentals. The Yankees are talented but lazy af and don't drill. They don't hustle, they don't practice. It's all on the coach for not enforcing discipline.

Been watching baseball since 1972, this is the greatest meltdown I have seen. the Yankees are not a fundamentally sound team. They have been playing reckless all season and they finally ran out of luck.
This may be Judge's last World Series. It was also the Yankees' first World Series appearance in 15 years. For Judge, it was a simple mistake that he will regret for the rest of his life. This error was the catalyst for a massive loss of runs.
Los Angeles was the dominant team by far. Dave Roberts did a masterful job using his bullpen to keep it close enough. Los Angeles made far fewer mistakes. What I want to know is how is it possible for a team that can't run the bases and below average in defense get to the Series?
Speaking as a Red Sox fan who vividly remembers so much disappointment before that magical 2004 ALCS and World Series: Alex, I think you may have some suppressed memories. The 2024 WS was one where the Yankees really weren't competitive all that much. The 2004 ALCS, conversely, well, let's see: Yankees up 3 games to none, taking a lead into the 9th inning in game 4, with the greatest closer in the history of the game on the mound. Dave Roberts, in his only appearance, pinch ran after Kevin Millar drew a walk, and soon followed with the most important stolen base any Red Sox player ever had. The rest, as they say, was history...
Don't ever compare Judge to Ohtani. Judge is a one trick dog. Ohtani can hit, run & pitch. He also defer all the $$$ so the Dodgers can add players. Thats a winning culture
The entire team is a disgrace to the city and the uniform. They don't deserve to wear the pinstripes. Judge, baboon, cashman, etc. You're ALL fired! Sell the team. 🤦
Nah, atleast we made the World Series bro! First time in 15 years, I know we’re the Yankees & expect to win. It was a really poor performance in the 5th inning but we just need to regroup
@@marckusduverger9776Made it to the World Series in a sloppy way. Barely won the games against the Royals and Guardians whom made countless amounts of mistakes to let the Yankees advance. Once the Yankees face a good team like the Dodgers they were exposed, and it showed. Almost got swept, which didn’t matter because they beat themselves in the end. This team needs a whole revamp. From the Manager to starting pitching and position players. They won’t make it back anytime soon if they don’t fix those things.
The Yankees did practically the same thing against the Astros in 2022. In both post seasons They played a team that was better than them and knowing they had to pretty much play perfect to have a chance at winning, they didn’t. They had offense issues, pitching wasn’t there, their defense killed them again and then Aaron Judge, their captain, once again failed in the post season when they needed him the most.
Realistically if the Yankees had better fielding in the first and fifth game the Yankees would be up 3-2 in the series. This was definitely a series the Yankees could have won. Dodgers got really lucky in this series.
As an Astros fan and Houston native.. nothing makes me happier than watching the Stankees lose in the World Series and was definitely rooting for LA the entire time even though this is the first World Series I haven’t watched since like 2012
Well, we had a great regular season. We won all the way to the WS. Lost 2 gut wrench games and a horrible inning in the WS. We will be back! Go Yankees! Congrats Dodgers. You deserved this championship!
I feel like this panel was rooting for the Yankees. Considering two of their star players played for them. Ortiz I feel just was against Ohtani evidenced by his out of pocket comment earlier about DH's winning MVP. I know they may try to stay objective, but it seems to ooze with East Coast Bias. I may be wrong, just a feeling though...
Everyone in New York should apologize to A-Rod for how they treated him in his Yankee tenure. Judge is way more of a choker yet has gotten far less hate.
He did slap that ball, that put Jeter back on first rather than second, which MIGHT have cost them Game 6. Though Jeter would not be who he was without someone taking care of his right side. Yes, I am trolling. Let the downvotes flow!!!
The big bats were what they bulldogged their way in with, but the Yankees looked like a t-ball team on defense. The way this Mega-million $$ squad was committing errors was honestly embarrassing to watch. No way they were beating the Dodgers with this cluster f**k of poor fundamentals.
First of all, the reason the Yankees lost was because they relied too much on certain players and had a thin roster. The Dodgers had a deeper roster. Secondly, many Yankees players had an "I'll decide" or "I, I, I" attitude. All of the Dodgers players were committed to team play, saying "Let's just get on base and keep the ball going." I think this difference in awareness of team play was also the cause of the Yankees' three consecutive errors. This shows that a team cannot win just by using money to attract good players.

Cole's error of not covering the first base was the worst, imo.
No, all three were equally bad. Cole was dead wrong not to head to first, but 99 percent of MLB first basemen take that play themselves.
@@ohger1 Agree and Cole wont beat Betts to the bag. Rizzo sat back instead of charging that grounder with a fast runner at the plate. Total joke. This will define Judge's career count on it. Lastly Soto like an MJ doesn't want to play with people who will shrink under the lights, he's gone!
@ohger1 not on cole
Rizzo is a bot
Agreed because that is a Mental Error.
😍😍Put Judge on trial for dropping that lazy fly ball. The worst choke job by the Stankees. Are you freak'n kidding me? 3 errors in one inning. They blew a 5-0 lead in one inning and lost the game 7-6. They deserve to lose. Oh, well! There is always a next time. Congrats Dodgers for winning the World Series championship!
NYY the way you guys played tonight, please give yourselves more credit. There was magic that happened with your team last night AND tonight. Also, you did not go quietly tonight. We beat you guys out by a single run, not a blowout. Thank you for bringing the heat in this series. God bless you guys.
Judge pulling a Shoeless Joe Jackson out there.
@@cbebop5 No credit for the way Yankees played....bad errors gave the Dodgers the game....I would rather be blown out and had no chance of winning then blowing a 5 run lead with bad defensive errors .....Simple....Yankees stunk up the joint and deserve all of the criticism.....Judge looked bad but I wont go as far as trading him just because of his bad play in the playoffs and in the World Series.....He needs to do better....Other fans are overreacting by demanding trading Judge after this.....Ignorant....
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@bobmiller1902No, he pulled a gloveless Ren Stimpy out there!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
"Los Doyers Congrattuullaayshons" - Big Papi
😅 I love Big Papi.
IT WAS RIZZO'S FAULT. RIZZO HAD THE BALL WITH PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO 1ST BASE FOR THE OUT. RIZZO SAW THE RUNNER COMING AND HE PUSSIED OUT.
COLE DID NOT COVER FIRST!!!
@LordVerdo IT WAS RIZZO'S FAULT. RIZZO HAD THE BALL WITH PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO 1ST BASE FOR THE OUT. RIZZO SAW THE RUNNER COMING AND HE PUSSIED OUT.
much as you are yelling, it's lack of hustle and attention on the whole team
@edstraight846 IT WAS RIZZO'S FAULT. RIZZO HAD THE BALL WITH PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO 1ST BASE FOR THE OUT. RIZZO SAW THE RUNNER COMING AND HE PUSSIED OUT.
Alex Rodriguez should talk...he was a terrible post-season player. He was also on PEDs. Why is he commenting on baseball the FOX coverage is terrible.
Exactly!
I liked how he looked at jeter saying “and then came the 5th inning DEREK 👀” lmfao 😂
Gerrit Cole was rolling, but two careless errors messed up his flow. His team let him down.
Him just pointing at first base is unforgiveable though, the Dodgers had two pitchers this series (Yamamoto and Banda) who took matters into their own hands if a low ball was coming to their left
Cole pointing at first was hilarious. Dug his own grave.
A Rod should have given them some of his "stuff" that made him so great. 🤔
Cole not covering first base was the biggest mistake!
They have the worst manager in baseball history. He's clueless and players don't respect the 🤡
But yet they made it to the world series? Dodgers won because of errors made by the Yankees. But whatever, congratulations to the Dodgers, they played very well.
@walvinfernandez6555 bro get real we only made it to the world series because the astros didn't make it to the championship. We had an extremely easy path.
@@caretheis6779 Exactly!
@RichHomieTjuanIt’s the coach’s fault a player can’t catch a routine fly ball or cover first? If you want to see bad managing, come to Philadelphia.
That's why they said talent over fundamentals. The Yankees are talented but lazy af and don't drill. They don't hustle, they don't practice. It's all on the coach for not enforcing discipline.
For everyone that says jeter is overrated as a shortstop.. jeter might not have had the greatest stats in the regular season but he always showed up when it mattered in the post season.. and that why he is one of the greatest short stops of all time point blank
Don’t listen to those haters Jeter won 5 world championships and had over 3k hits in his career. Never got into trouble and had an amazing glove . Dude was awesome man .Mr November
I never really cared about Jeter but dang its just freaking hilarious to see the biggest Yankee homer steaming mad 😂
He's got 5 rings and was a World Series MVP. This so called Yankee team could learn something
Been watching baseball since 1972, this is the greatest meltdown I have seen.
the Yankees are not a fundamentally sound team.
They have been playing reckless all season and they finally ran out of luck.
That so hurt, up by 5, then lose the game 🤪🤪🤪🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This Win was for my Late Father ❤
Huge Dodger Fan 🔥🏟️
Thank You Dad

I Miss You
Same my dad died almost about a year ago and watched the Dodgers every day
I'm a Yankees fan sorry about your father. Sure he's smiling down. Congrats 👏
He’s up there with Fernando smiling
@@C.D-f4i Kudos from a RS fan.
This may be Judge's last World Series. It was also the Yankees' first World Series appearance in 15 years.
For Judge, it was a simple mistake that he will regret for the rest of his life.
This error was the catalyst for a massive loss of runs.
A Rod was the meltdown king. 😂
Thank God for the Dodgers. Kept the winless streak going.
Los Angeles was the dominant team by far. Dave Roberts did a masterful job using his bullpen to keep it close enough. Los Angeles made far fewer mistakes. What I want to know is how is it possible for a team that can't run the bases and below average in defense get to the Series?
Well at least NY still have the Jets to look forward too 😂
Speaking as a Red Sox fan who vividly remembers so much disappointment before that magical 2004 ALCS and World Series: Alex, I think you may have some suppressed memories.
A-Rod is right, but I don’t want to hear anything from his mouth.
Why not?
"You done messed up AARON!"
Up 5 runs at yankee stadium with your ace on the mound😂
Don't ever compare Judge to Ohtani. Judge is a one trick dog. Ohtani can hit, run & pitch. He also defer all the $$$ so the Dodgers can add players. Thats a winning culture
The entire team is a disgrace to the city and the uniform. They don't deserve to wear the pinstripes. Judge, baboon, cashman, etc. You're ALL fired! Sell the team. 🤦
Give 'em a break. They're not "true" Yankees.
The Glove incident will haunt the Yankees for at least 100 years.
Aaron Judge is the biggest choker in playoff history
The Yankees did practically the same thing against the Astros in 2022. In both post seasons They played a team that was better than them and knowing they had to pretty much play perfect to have a chance at winning, they didn’t. They had offense issues, pitching wasn’t there, their defense killed them again and then Aaron Judge, their captain, once again failed in the post season when they needed him the most.
Cole was ready to go to the dugout, but not first base.
Lol.
My sister hit to first!… Oh nooo she beats it out 🤣💰💰💰
Those guys really did not want to go back to Los Angeles.
Stankees choke, Dodgers are just more resilient, they never gave up, you can’t allow them a opportunity like they did in the 5th inning 😎
All it took was a 500 mill payroll,
@@brando7266 cry
The Dodgers didn’t win cause they might be the better team, they won because they hustled every aspect of the game called baseball.
Discipline is why they won. And it showed big time.
Realistically if the Yankees had better fielding in the first and fifth game the Yankees would be up 3-2 in the series. This was definitely a series the Yankees could have won. Dodgers got really lucky in this series.
Freddie Freeman went to town in a gold Cadillac.
Dodgers were a better team. Yankees didn’t win one game against Dodgers in the regular season. Yankees were lucky to win one game these series.
@Chalo-ng3nv
THE ASTROS CHEATED!!!
Hey Derek, those errors aren’t acceptable for any team.
- Every Other MLB Team
As an Astros fan and Houston native.. nothing makes me happier than watching the Stankees lose in the World Series and was definitely rooting for LA the entire time even though this is the first World Series I haven’t watched since like 2012
Yankees are a one dimensional team, dodgers are more balanced, better defense, better bullpen
Better effort too
Everyone making excuses for Cole. 🤮
Well, we had a great regular season. We won all the way to the WS. Lost 2 gut wrench games and a horrible inning in the WS. We will be back! Go Yankees! Congrats Dodgers. You deserved this championship!
Trolling Red Sox fan tipping his long ago put away hat - WE'RE REBUILDING! - at you for you taking the disappointment maturely.
I think you are spot on. Two ex-Yankees, and one of them a cheater who shouldn't be on the air.
Dumb AF comment
They both are chokers in the playoffs
@@pa.encema2821A Rod had a ring what does Judge have?
A-Rod has no room to criticize.

I have never seen a defensive breakdown like that
Yankees got exposed in this series
The big bats were what they bulldogged their way in with, but the Yankees looked like a t-ball team on defense. The way this Mega-million $$ squad was committing errors was honestly embarrassing to watch. No way they were beating the Dodgers with this cluster f**k of poor fundamentals.
Too many mistakes from NY
Arod and jeter are desperately trying to forget 2004😂
Daaaaaaaaa Jankees lose!
Coles was right on, Chisholms was right on, then Freemans stepped up and got that club the Championships right there.
Jeter: I'm coming out of retirement.
First of all, the reason the Yankees lost was because they relied too much on certain players and had a thin roster. The Dodgers had a deeper roster.
Secondly, many Yankees players had an "I'll decide" or "I, I, I" attitude.
All of the Dodgers players were committed to team play, saying "Let's just get on base and keep the ball going."
I think this difference in awareness of team play was also the cause of the Yankees' three consecutive errors.
This shows that a team cannot win just by using money to attract good players.
I mean it's not like the Dodgers are a cheap team either lol
Best of best defense
