I would hazard a guess that it‘s something to the effect of Aristotle‘s „The more you know, the more you realize you don‘t know“ which would effectively lead one to seek more answers i.e to keep going/pursuing.
Hi, even though I am the first student to reply to your comment section we need to make some things sure. If you are considering getting the Orwell Award this year you cannot do this anymore, next year it will be pretty hard to get it too, a ton of students get this offer so this student isn't in a rare situation, if you come from a poverty struck background it's basically a free entrance to this school. You need to make sure that you apply quite early, if you apply to somewhere like Pate's Grammar School, Queen Elizabeth's grammar school or even something as qualifically low as Sir Thomas Rich, it's easy as just revising. If you are unprivileged but also educated you will be able to get in here quickly without paying. This is one of the hardest places to get into but Eton definitely has some of the highest workloads. This guy speaks nothing but facts here but you need to consider the workload is 2-3x the normal college workload, so it's just a waste as well as random hard work. Loving the videos revishaan but you need to actually explain that this is something that is not a privilege for everyone and is actually a bad thing to influence, year 11s will look at this and be like ''oh I'm going to eton lets goo'' when in reality it's going to make their life hell. You need to take into account the disadvantages too, one of my friends who went to eton ended up going into depression and becoming really stubborn and antisocial due to his schooling, be careful as this video doesn't explain any of the downsides.
So this argument is flawed because it relies on one specific example. Not everyone will have this experience and so this is more a correlation depression caused by Eton is not a valid reason.
@@JK-vm7yo Relatively speaking, a study was taken out in 2016 and was actually removed from the internet due to Etons hierarchy in education. A sample was taken of a group of students and all of them claim to be drowned in their school work regardless of the courses. Then secondly around 50-60% of the same had said they were feeling like their mental health and their ability to carry out regular tasks had been ruined as their life is school based. I’ve been to Eton. This is why i’m giving you my experience.
@@kenzo6994 again every one has different experiences and so this cannot be concluded for everyone u get me. I fully understand ur view tho and I think that what u said is completely correct- people need to also know dark secrets of eton
@@JK-vm7yo Not everyone’s depressed but that sure is a hugeeeee value in comparison to normal colleges and sixth forms where you have 3-4x less workload then Eton. Mental health is important and these are the same issues created in a societal point of view can be seen as a story that hasn’t been given to the public. That’s the case with anything, but 50-60% means the majority of people.
Big up mahumudur !!! I just got shortlisted for the scholarship and love watching vids like these, Keep up the good work revishaan

You applied simply because you liked the experience of taking exams. Nothing to do with the prestige of the place. Ok then
