    looking at this, as someone who was admitted into Stanford, MIT, and some ivies (did not apply to harvard)
    I would have gotten a 2 in academics (altho unsure because I had 800 math, but 740 reading), a 2 personal based on what my recommenders wrote, maybe a 2+, and a 2 or potentially a 3+ in extracirricullars, with 4 in sports. This probably puts me at a 2 overall for harvard

    Overall rating (if I applied to Harvard now I am in 9th grade)
    1 Academics- Unknown, but GPA is around 3.6. So maybe point 3.Also have done multiple international debate competitions if those count.
    2 Athletics-Play golf somewhat competitively, so point 3 as well.I also do debate as a highly competitive sport so if that counts maybe can bump up to a 2.
    3 Extracurriculars- In 5 clubs,have 2 management roles in those clubs, play chess somewhat competitively, debate(in Malaysian junior team), gone for public speaking and storytelling competitions before. Maybe a 2.
    4 Personality-3, maybe ok personality, however still trying to become a better leader.
    Based on these, what do you think I need to improve on for now? And also, does debate count as a sport which I can get me points for the athletic ability or not really?

      Note, for extracurriculars I also play the drums and piano(grade 4 and 5 respectively). And I have done 80 hours plus of community service

    • @Midnight_Star1021

      @@aiden.p6622 Hi! Just a question - for your community service hours, how did you get them? A lot of the opportunities I seem to look into are age locked and not available for people under 16, and would appreciate some tips :)

    • @aiden.p6622
      @aiden.p6622 Год назад +1

      To be completely honest majority of the hours spent were not doing crazy stuff (which I am assuming you were talking about considering there is an age limit) but more so like the simple stuff. One of the stuff I did was help the Malaysian Association for the blind by reading and recording certain books. However, if that doesn’t work out then my advice is go out and do your own thing. For an instance, while the pandemic was happening, I created 5000 mask and donated it to a local hospital.
      Where I am getting to is the focus on the simple stuff such as reading to the blind or helping your park by planting trees, raising awareness or you could even go your own path
      Ik this video makes colleges want you to solve cancer, but realistically they just want to see effort being put to help out the community
      Hope this helps :)
