What do you do about avoiding the aglets? I'm trying to keep those from getting the same color. It needs to stay as black aglets, yellow cord so I got rit dye powder which is the safest one I use. I used a type of mix to make paint into fabric paint. How long does that solution stay viable from 2020 purchase? Sorry, I used it for a jean jacket back then. But this is just a smaller sewing project. It is impossible to find this type of color lace to aglet ratio. So, making my own.

I know your not supposed to but you know there’s people out there that say what works and what doesn’t and I’m sure you got some good knowledge on it. The only thing Ive ever known that works is Raleigh scratch resistant sealer but, I think a video of that would be useful to upcoming shoe customizers. It’s something you HAVE to be able to perfect because there’s always gonna be a time where you need to paint a sole and you don’t want that cracking.

Cool video, I am trying relentlessly to dye laces, 1/1 ratio with too soft, remove excess paint, heat gun but the laces always leave stain on a paper towel and hence on the final shoes (even after months). do you have any ideas what could be the issue? Thanks fam

I would say not enough heat setting , or potentially too much 2soft could lead to then splotchy
