Very nice I will dye my mushroom color lace curtains...
    Actually I have a question,
Did you add detergent into the wash cycle?

I just attempted to dye a lace shawl black and followed the directions, it immediately faded to a very light grey, I'm thinking of trying burgundy next as fall is coming up.
What would your recommendation be? Thank you so much for the tutorial!

I always have trouble with black fading. I always wash things like that on delicate and cold water. it seems to not fade as much!

What is the purpose of adding salt like you did? Great video, I am going to give it a try. Thanks for showing.

That's just what the directions said on the box. I think you get a brighter more vibrant color by adding the salt

I used the red rit dye liquid version on my lace shirt. And the color literally almost completely washed out. I didn't see tht i needed salt so maybe the salt absorbs color permanently so it doesn't leave the material.

@@ScrappyPatch If you had used the whole bottle would it be more royal? Even the color they show on the outside of the bottle does not look like what I consider royal blue.
