This was so helpful. I’m getting ready to dye a crochet top I’m making for Scarborough Renaissance Festival and I’m so excited to try the ombré techniques! 😊

I wouldn't have the item be dry when dipping, the dye adheres better to wet fabric.

Paul, What Rit colors do I need to get a soft pale blue?

You can always use more (very) hot water with any Rit color to get a lighter result. If you are looking for a particular shade of blue, you can check out our color mixing color library here: www.ritstudio.com/color-library/how-to-mix-colors/

Can I half and half dye a shirt?

You sure can! We recommend following these steps in the video, then repeat for the other side for a two-tone ombre effect. Hope this helps!
