    I normally do not make any comments, but I just wanted to say that I am tutoring some younger high school students and I think that your videos are outstanding. I like the way that you do not skip steps and I like how you show different methodologies of solving the same problem. I wish I would've had this when I was studying myself. Do you have a distinctive video on using distributive properties?

      Happy 2 help! The closest videos 2 your request that deals with solving linear equations is our "Solving Multi-Step Linear Equations" video. ruclips.net/video/3KfhXxUDG-Y/видео.html Also, our "Multiplying Polynomials" video stresses the distributive property. ruclips.net/video/Izf_mGQkEns/видео.html

    Thank you Mr. Whitt for a great instructional video! This video provides a great foundation for students to build upon and it has helped me to make sense out of one-step linear equations. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. Your students appreciate you!!

    Watched your first video on Calculus. You said something to the effect that it's often not the calculus that's hard, it's the algebra. That described my challenge to a tee. Back to some review. Thanks for all the help.

    Hi Professor, what about if I have x=5? and I have the ordered pairs, (4,5),(5,4), and (5,0)? do I still have to make y=0?

    • @FortBendTutoring
      @FortBendTutoring  8 лет назад

      +Carlos Jett The first ordered pair will not work. x must be 5 as the equation states. Also, this equation is a vertical line meaning any y value will work as long as the x value is 5z

      Thanks 4 sharing David! I’m just a phone call or online form away to become your personal tutor. I haven’t made a dedicated video on either topic but you may find examples in one of the Final Exam videos for Algebra 1 or 2. Just check the timestamp descriptions for the type of problem.

    Sir, in problem number 3 , isn’t “3” positive so when you divided it to the other side it was supposed to be negative?

    • @FortBendTutoring
      @FortBendTutoring  5 лет назад

      When dividing, you don’t change the signs. Only change the sign when adding or subtracting both sides of the equation.
