The antique shop is awesome! On a side note, only come to Nebraska in the summer. 😂 It cracked me up when you were driving in the "almost sleet", Nebraska sleet is REAL sleet. Hahaha!!!

This is so fun! We just traveled up to Oregon from Northern California in the spring. Coulda saved you much of that drive time if y’all had just stopped here, my bf has thousands of records 😂

barbtries The recommendation is to actually not wear gloves unless they’re disposable and you can change them every time you touch something. Otherwise you’re just spreading germs with the gloves. Instead, I have hand sanitizer and use it frequently. But of course now, here at home we’re not going shopping like this. Up there at the time the number of cases were almost non-existent (part of the reason we went!) but now as you know it’s spiking like crazy at home. So thrifting and shopping is on hold again for us!
@@MidCenturyWasted yes, they must be disposable. i would think you could wear them in the store and toss them immediately when you get outside, then sanitize before getting in the car. If this was practiced universally the virus would not spread via surfaces. Every time I get an Amazon Fresh order I use 2 pairs of gloves, one to bring it in and spray it with Lysol and another when I unload and put away the groceries.I'm glad you're staying put now though with the situation there. If everyone does the right thing it won't be so long. It should never have gone on this long. But at any rate...I watched a segment of Stephen Colbert with W Kamau Bell and Colbert asked him what's up with California? and he said, "orange county." As your Grandma Marie always said, might as well laugh as cry.
I’m a big time face-toucher so hand sanitizer is my best friend right now. We use gloves when pumping gas and things like that, but I find myself even touching my face with gloves on!! Bad habits are so hard to break! But I’ve gotten really good at remembering to use hand sanitizer after I touch stuff. Blake, not so much. 🙄
Fun! Those owls...very similar to Peg's from Crazy4Retro. She has a big collection of owls...and MC birds...and ice-lip glass pitchers....and...and....
barbtries Yes, I got a good amount of things! But rewatching the shopping video I see I definitely missed some stuff. I still wish that Pyrex bowl was a bit cheaper so I could have added it to my collection. And there’s still a giant other side to this store that you haven’t seen yet. It was so fun, I’m looking forward to when it is safe to go again! ✨💕

I would’ve bought the butterfly pyrex. Love those and also the prices are not bad at all

As a new collector of Pyrex and Corelle (“Indian Summer”), watching this was REALLY bad for my collectors itch!!!
