This is an incredible build! Love how the owner spent time to find all the factory options for this specific car to make it like you just bought a 280 Merc with all its options in 72. You can definitely tell he has a passion for this car.

Yeah, we sort of agree. It’s transcends typical “stance” trends.
Stance originated from muscle cars and low riders didn't it? having bigger tires in the back making your camaro lean forward is "stance. Lowering your car so it has a lower " stance" to the ground is stance. People who put a negative connotation on stance just don't understand it enough.
+Glo Stix the Hermit Google stance car. You're not going to find a nova with slicks on it. You're going to find a Civic or Nissan Cube.
Lowriders have A stance, they're not stanced. I personally like the stance a trophy truck has, it's not a stanced car though, it has a mean looking stance, not stanced. A gasser isn't stanced, it certainly has a weird looking stance though.
I kind of think bagged is a different thing then stanced. Stanced just seems more static to me
I like to think of it as a German Lead Sled, but its too new for that era as well so idk

As more of a Benz purist, at first I was like "ok, some put air on a W108 6-cylinder" and then I saw that 3.5 badge on the back and was like "come on, you put air on a W108 V8???"
...then by the time I finished the video I saw the passion Jimmy has for the brand, and how crazy he was/is about the details. Not to mention how stunning the car is, plus when lifted you can't tell from the outside it has been customized. Finding the thin line between personal vision and originality, that's pure automotive art at its best. Love it!
This is definitely a Euro low rider. Wonderfully stock appearing- the guy really cares about that car and what makes it special. Too cool!
I'd consider this more of a Low rider without the crazy paintjob than a stance car :)

I’ve wanted a 280 for a long time. This is exactly what I’d do. This car is absolute PERFECTION.
I'm a real Mercedes purist, so when I saw this, I had to watch. I love the fact that they kept it looking stock, they didn't put stupid wheels on it or do a vinyl wrap. This is one of the best looking 115's I've ever seen. i love the dog dish hubcaps and the bags are a nice touch.

I just bought this car today. I’m excited to play around with it in the morning. Mine was from a old Mexican. It has low rider rims, he promised me the original rims but I may keep the low rider rims on. They look kinda good. 38k miles. Everything works, from AC to wiper. I just gotta buff it out and put bags on it in a year or so.

My granddad had 3 of these 2 that ran and I remember that old thermometer on the window. The steering wheel has always been one of the most beautiful. It was nice riding in these from 1993-2000

My uncle found a 92 Cadillac Fleetwood 5.7 V8 with only 4000 km on the counter. Basically new and rare as hell, because we live in Turkmenistan. After watching this, I know what I’ll suggest him doing now.

To be honest I have always liked you fellas at Hoonigan since you always accept other forms of car culture. It is how the car scene should be. So if someone has a interesting ride they should be featured on DT regardless of it's performance and such. I mean you guys already know this but it's why I like this channel so much.

YES!! Love this! I have a '69 US spec Mercedes-Benz 280SEL (I live in Holland). I think it's funny that you guys in America like the EU-spec stuff, and over here we like the US-spec stuff. I absolutely love the sidemarkers on mine, because cars over here don't have those, and it gives the car that extra bit of presence at night. I can't wait to get mine fixed so I can safely drive it and bagged so I can look good driving it. When it's done, I'll ship it over to Cali so you guys can do a build breakdown on it, hehehe.

Had a 3.5 W109 in the 1990ies.
Issues: one valve at Front wheel leaking
Xchanged gearbox and steering gearbox.
Was sucking "false air" w/ the d- jetronic, but at least I tightenwd leak @ inductive Sensor.
